  1. If the question is when the Bills might lose I thought it was possible before the game even started. I like what the Bills have done this year for the most part but KC is a good team.
  2. While I don't like to blame officials, and I will not blame them for the loss, I don't know how anyone can say the PI on Chandler was a good call. He barely touched the defender as he made his cut. If that's offensive PI the vast majority of passing plays in football are offensive PI. I thought the roughing call on Williams was ridiculous but I've seen worse when it comes to roughing the passer. And Henderson definitely flinched ever so slightly on that false start.
  3. Guess I've been spending the last few weeks on another planet and didn't realize it because I really haven't been hearing much media attention on them. The only exception being a little more buzz after they routed the Chargers but that's to be expected I would think.
  4. 2008: September/October 5-2 November/December 2-7 2011: September/October 5-2 November/December 1-8 2014: September/October 5-3 November/December ????
  5. What really has me worried is his own college coach said he didn't think EJ had the tools to be an NFL starter. I know some will say "what does a college coach know about NFL quarterbacks". But you would think Jimbo would know enough to try to sell him a little more if he really did believe in him. His accuracy on many of his throws this year was really bad and not just rookie bad or my favorite "everyone throws bad passes" bad. It was inexcusably bad on a number of his throws. That is alarming. I hope he can come off the bench at some point and correct it but we really need to start looking in a new direction for a franchise QB. As far as putting in extra time, as I recall, didn't Trent have a really great work ethic too?
  6. So were Charlie Ward, Chris Weinke, and Christian Ponder.
  7. They have the common opponents on us (NE and San Diego) but I still think we can win this one. Hoping Kyle Orton and have a game like this one form a few years ago againts KC: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201011140den.htm
  8. I see; my mistake
  9. Wait, you mean, there was a game that started at 9:30 this morning? So what did it like just end?
  10. He obviously wasn't if he got caught from behind.
  11. While I'm no fan of Hacket I actually didn't think the playcalling in today's game was as bad as some previous weeks. Given the fact that we were forcing turnovers we really didn't need to force the ball or anything. And even when we were ahead by 20 points we were still throwing the ball (TD pass to Watkins). Hacket wasn't the one who pointed to the crowd on his way to the endzone and got tackled short of scoring. Yet he called a nice run play to get us in the endzone on the very next play.
  12. I have a bad feeling about this game. The Jets have always played us well during the Rex Ryan era and I think they are better than people give them credit for (almost won @NE and practically should have won @GB). Not to mention the fact that they are at home and coming off 10 days rest. But, in order to keep my true Bills fan status: Bills 20 Jets 17.
  13. Manning - yes, the only other one I may possibly give consideration to is Polamolu. The rest, no.
  14. As I mentioned in another thread, how impressive could the Patriots have been with their lack-luster win over Oakland? At the end of the day, good teams forget the mistakes they made, forget how good/bad the team they are playing is, and they just win.
  15. Yeah, it wasn't pretty. It also wasn't pretty for NE to have to beat the Jets on a missed 2pt conversion and a blocked field goal nor was it pretty for them to barely beat Oakland. At the end of the day, a win is a win and if we end up making the playoffs by a game will anyone really look back and say "yeah, but we really shouldn't be in the playoffs because we won that ugly game back in October against the Vikings"?
  16. O's fan here, wish I could be excited about KC's run but they had to do it against us. Disappointed but at least one of my teams finally figured out how to make the playoffs. Now it's the Bills' turn.
  17. I think the loss to the Ravens a few weeks back is going to come back to haunt them later in the year. Whoever doesn't win the AFC west between Denver and SD will most likely get one wild card spot, I still think the Bengals win the AFC North despite their recent struggles, and that leaves the last wild card spot which will probably be between them and the Ravens (and maybe us????) That loss to the Ravens may end up being the difference.
  18. ^^This, I don't see the Jets suddenly making a playoff run so if they can beat the Pats and at the same time decrease their own 2015 draft pick I'm all for it.
  19. We have a really good set of WR's. Watkins, Woods, and if he stays with the team Williams. Most teams in the NFL would love to have that trio. The problem is they haven't had a QB good enough to consistently give them the ball. They've had one that misses that's so inaccurate he'd probably miss the ground if he spiked the ball and one that can maybe get the ball in their general vicinity from time to time. We have talent we just don't have a good enough QB to lead that talent.
  20. I would say a trap game is when you still have a legitimate shot at the playoffs and you lose to a team that you are better than/should have beaten. Whether it happens because you over-looked that team or are still upset over losing the last game, either way. And I would say this can definitely be a trap game especially if Teddy Bridgewater plays more like he did against the Falcons and less like he did against the Lions.
  21. BB: I don't care how badly we beat Cincinnati!!! I'm still irate no one gave us any calls against KC and we were exposed in an actual fair fight!!!! Refs: We know Bill, we know, and we are very sorry about that. Any call that's even remotely close for the next 5 games will go your way. BB: They darn well better!!
  22. I've come to the conclusion that poor officiating is as much a part of the game as anything else. At the end of the day, the 49ers still get the win and nothing will change that. As frustrating as it can be to play well and work your tail off only to lose a game on a blown call it's just something we have to accept in sports whether there really are conspiracies or the refs just simply make a bad call. Though I do think penalties should be reviewable and that might change some things in the end officiating is an element of the game.
  23. And what really bothers me is that these refs had the nerve to go on a lockout 2 years ago for more money.
  24. The defense didn't play great and certainly made mistakes but come on, to say it lost the game? If you really think about it, take away two big plays: The TD pass to Tyms to begin the second half (which was actually pretty well covered it was just a better throw and catch) and the TD pass to Lafell at the end and you take away a lot of their offensive production. And if you want to blame offensive struggles on bad calls what about the completion to Edelman on 1st and 15 on that last TD drive where Edelman shoves McKelvin and should have been called for offensive PI? Also, I thought the defensive PI on Duke Williams on the play where Gronk got hurt was pretty ticky-tack.
  25. Kevin Sumlin maybe? I know he turned down some offers but just a thought. As for Harbaugh, still not buying the whole idea that he will not be back with the Niners next year.
