  1. Aside from the fumble lost in the early part of the game he did great today. If only we had a QB good enough to hit him in stride consistently.
  2. +1 I would need to know that the Patriots beating the Chargers would guarantee us making the playoffs before I even think about rooting for them. And the Chargers have a brutal schedule down the stretch. They will have more chances to lose.
  3. At the risk of sounding really dumb myself I actually agree with that strategy. I've always thought one of the best ways to beat a good QB was to not let him on the field. It worked well for the Giants in SB 25.
  4. Denver fans should thank us. Last time we went to Denver we beat them in 2008 in a game that costed them the AFC West title and a trip to the playoffs. It was during that offseason that they traded Cutler away to the Bears. If they made the playoffs that year they probably would have kept Cutler and a few years later when Peyton was looking for a new team he probably would have seen that they were committed to Cutler as their franchise QB and gone elsewhere. They will practically let us win. Anyone else want to buy that story? Bills 20 Broncos 17
  5. Evening out the WR field a bit with Sammy hurting as well.
  6. I believe the last time we played Peyton Manning was in 2006. @ Indy the year they went on to win the Super bowl and we only lost 17-16 with a defense that wasn't even as good as the one we have now. I'd say they this game is winnable.
  7. I like Fitz but I think this goes to show how far the rules have come in catering to the passing game.
  8. Shades of 2009. I smell another 6-3 game.
  9. I hope Pettine gets a standing ovation when he enters the stadium. In fact, as long as it's not at the expense of the Bills getting in, I've actually been rooting for the Browns to get into the playoffs this year. It would be great for him to say he turned around the Bills defense in one season and then got the lowly Browns into the playoffs in his first year as a HC.
  10. No, not at all, people go to prison for doing it, and well-deserved to. Just because other athletes have done it doesn't make it okay.
  11. He did something awful and worthy of never being able to play again. But it is way too soon to say he's washed up. He had one down year in 2013 but was great in just about every year he's been in the league before that. He's only 27, plenty of good years ahead if someone is willing to give him a second chance.
  12. I think it is way too premature to say he is declining. He's only 27 and he had one down year in 2013. Prior to that I would say he doing pretty darn good. As far as the domestic violence, if he shows he's genuinely grown from it I think someone will give him a shot. I'd be fine with signing him (as long as it's not at the expense of trying to bring in a better quarterback or two).
  13. Can't believe I clicked on this thread thinking it might actually be someone talking about how we can possibly upset Denver
  14. Something to think about when it comes to the Jets: @ Green Bay - only lost 31-24, had a lead and a number of opportunities to win that game @ New England - lost 27-25: missed two point conversion from tie, maybe a blocked field goal from winning home against Pittsburgh - won 20-13 Now in 2 games against Buffalo: home against Buffalo - lost 43-23 neutral field against Buffalo - lost 38-3 after the week we've had, our players snowed in, not able to practice much and the Jets coming off a bye with plenty of practice time I know, this doesn't always mean much. Some times one team matches up well against another particular team and not so well against others but I think it speaks to how far we've come.
  15. 5 years is awfully harsh for an illegal procedure.
  16. It would be kind of depressing if the there is only one more game at the Ralph the rest of the season. Guess they'll have to win the division now so they can get a home playoff game

  18. Cutler is an upgrade over any other QB on our roster. As long as it doesn't cost us a high future draft choice, why not?
  19. I feel like in all my years of watching pro and college football any time there's a "mix-up" between a QB and receiver and the refs can see that they just simply weren't on the same page or the receiver ran the wrong route they do not throw the flag. I don't know where this whole idea suddenly came from out of nowhere just this week that it doesn't matter. Same goes for offensive PI. Ravens get a win taken away against Cincinnati and NO gets a win taken away against SF for offense PI calls that I feel like usually don't get called. We've had a few key questionable offensive PIs called on us this season in notable losses (vs NE and KC).
  20. Peyton Manning played his first playoff game (which would have been against us if only) Lord of The Rings Trilogy hit the theaters Tom Brady went from nobody to hall of famer
  21. Seems like we are going to two extremes here. It was a little much to crown him our savior and our future or basically as anything more than a band aid to replace a struggling young QB in a season where the playoffs were a legitimate possibility but he was not the only problem. He did not fumble the ball in the loss to KC in crucial situations. He did not give up a 3rd and 24 to a mediocre Miami offense. There were a lot of plays yesterday where pressure got to him basically right after he snapped the ball. That said yes he did miss-fire on a lot of throws and just looked really uncomfortable.
  22. I might agree that we aren't that good if Kansas City had outplayed us. But this was a game that we had won and we choked away. If we don't choke it away, we're 6-3 with the best record in the AFC amongst non-division leaders (basically the top wild card team). That tells me we are good enough to be 6-3 but we blew our shot at that record.
  23. I kind of felt like the biggest momentum changer was the TD run on 4th and 1. Up until that point their offense couldn't do anything against our defense and even though they were still losing it just seemed to change the way the game was going IMO.
  24. No one knows how well anyone will end up. Heck 10-6 could be good enough to win the division. Just a matter of hours ago the Steelers were being slurped as one of the best teams in the league and then they lose today to one of the worst.
  25. I think to say it kills our playoff chances is a little much but I agree it hurts. I would say though winning would have done more to ensure our playoff chances than losing hurts it. If we win this game, we would have been tied for the 3rd best record in the AFC (and we would have had the best record of all non-division leaders in the AFC)
