Survivor Pool has been reset! Make picks ASAP
Talley56 replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just missed the deadline. Is it too late to extend it to 12:50 Sunday knowing that we just can't pick on the TNF game? -
I'm thinking there's a good chance we could be competing with the Steelers for a wild card sport. Go Ravens!

Cleveland Browns are a disaster...
Talley56 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I may be in the minority on this but I still think Manziel has potential. I think he's shown flashes of it too. I think given time he can develop in to a franchise QB. But of course I could be way wrong on that and all in all for as frustrated as we've been with the Bills, Browns fans are far worse off than we are. They have only made the playoffs twice since 89 and they just seem to repeatedly have no hope to do anything each year. We only have one team in our division who owns us time and time again. They have three teams who have been practically perennial playoff teams for the past few years to contend with. -
Who's going to be the first coach fired this year?
Talley56 replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wonder, if the Rams don't go to the playoffs this year, will Jeff Fisher's job be in danger. He may not be first but it seems like they have high hopes every year yet they never do anything except give the Seahawks problems. As far as first to go, I'd say Philbin however if the Eagles start losing again (say to the Redskins next week) and never recover I could see Kelly going soon too. -
The whole game no but for one thing that one bonheaded play was so bad it was worth about 5 boneheaded plays and since the Jets came within a TD by the end of the game it very well could have been the difference between a win and a loss. Plus, it was not the only bad play he made. Did you see, on another play, Fitz throw a perfect pass right to Marshall which bounced right off his hands and into the hands of a defender?

Jets vs. Fins, 10/4 - Who to root for?
Talley56 replied to Wazzu Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm rooting for the game to be so bad that London doesn't want the NFL and we can stop these overseas games. -
Brandon Marshall may have cost Fitz a 3-0 start. I'd say he has done fine there. Not great but just fine.

Will NE hit a wall this season?
Talley56 replied to thronethinker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Funny, I see this topic and then I go to espn.com and find this article on the front (only for insiders): http://espn.go.com/nfl/insider/story/_/id/13761265/why-new-england-patriots-team-firepower-go-16-0-again-nfl -
RD 2, Pick 50: DB Ronald Darby, Florida State
Talley56 replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think some just weren't going to be happy with anything but a QB at that pick. Good point but I'm not sure that you can really fault him too much for that. I like the fact that when the ball was in the air he instinctively grabbed it. -
Could Bills be 8-1 going into Foxborough for Brady rematch?
Talley56 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed, after 2008 and 2011 I'm not going to get too excited until we consistently win into November. -
Game Ball Goes To????????? Make your pic....
Talley56 replied to mellaman101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think you can give it to just Incognito. The whole line played equally well today so if you are going to go Incognito I'd say entire o-line. I might give it to Darby. Dude was making plays in the secondary all night even with his own teammate knocking him out twice. Between him and Karlos Williams, we had a great draft without having a first round draft pick. -
1pm Games Thread: Let's Go Iggles and Jags!!!

Go Ravens, I think it's more likely we will have to compete with the Bengals for a wildcard spot so we need them to lose. -
Around The NFL QB Index: 2015 Final Rankings
Talley56 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sam Bradford, Jay Cutler, Blake Bortles, and Kirk Cousins all belong in the question mark category. Unless the question mark category is more for QBs who haven't had a lot of starts as oppposed to QBs who haven't performed as well but none of them have done anything to prove they should be ahead of TT or Derek Carr. -
What is your biggest concern going into the Miami game?
Talley56 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd say penalties but I would like to take that a step further and say penalties that erase big plays. -
Seahawks started the season at St Louis (where they always struggle) and at Green Bay and actually came very close in both games. They'll be fine.

Is everyone happy Brady got to play us?
Talley56 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will take a win however I can get it. Over Brady, over Garoppolo, whoever. Suspensions are just as much a part of the game as playmaking, or injuries, or being lucky enough to see the QB you drafted at #199 turn into a legend. -
Do you feel different about the Colts win?
Talley56 replied to Stads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't feel too different. For one thing, I felt, even before that game, the Colts way over-achieved last year. A lot really broke their way to get to the championship game (winning a soft division, getting the playoff choking Bengals in the first playoff game then the Broncos when Peyton was hurt and clearly not his usual self). The championship game annihilation to NE spoke volumes (NE was great but even the Ravens and Seahawks at least found a way to compete with them). The Colts are awful outside of Andrew Luck so if you can find a way to contain him you can dominate them (I recall a very mediocre Rams team destroying them a few years back). Also, I felt like we could have really blown them out worse than we did. After we went up 24-0 we clearly played off defensively. -
"Whoa, I can see the score of the Bengals game. Weird"
-
You can rip him, say that he sucks, blah blah, but there's one thing you can't take away from him. He is the only Buffalo QB aside from Drew Bledsoe who went toe to toe with Brady and beat him (of course not counting Kyle Orton's win over Brady when he didn't care in week 17 last year).
-
As a strong supporter of Schwartz I will say in defense of the current defense, at least when it comes to points given up, they were put in tough positions on the 2nd and 3rd TDs scored by NE. They started from our 13 on one drive and our 30 on the next. I don't care how good a defense is, no one is stopping Brady when he keeps getting great field position like that. But the number of yards is troubling.
-
He really was not good until the 4th quarter today. He had a number of opportunities where he had time to throw and either didn't find any receivers to throw to or throw the ball away. But these things are to be expected from QBs who are only on their 2nd start ever especially when they are asked to go toe-to-toe with one of the best QBs of all time and beat him with a team who has rarely ever beaten said QB. We won't know how good he is until later in the season.

Most Important Improvements from Last Season
Talley56 replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed on #1 but could not disagree more strongly about #2. Schwartz utilized the talent wonderfully last year. If he had been only OK then there's no way we would have shut down Aaron Rodgers or gone into Detroit and won. Rex utilizes the talent well but it's a continuation, not an improvement, on Schwartz's D last year.
