  1. A number of olympic athletes have had medals taken away due to performance enhancements even though they "still had to go out and perform". USC got a national championship taken away to due to "improper gifts" given to Reggie Bush even though they "still had to go out and perform". Patriots though get away with cheating because only in their case will the "still had to go out and perform" rule negate their cheating.
  2. Yeah, #2, I know we are desperate to break the playoff drought but if we go once and just get beaten right off the bat it won't really mean a whole lot IMO. Meanwhile I was tired of NE 10 years ago. I am sick of them beyond words now. As far as tonight, rooting for Miami. Our game against Miami next week is far more important to our playoff hopes than a game going on during our bye week.
  3. Interestingly, 2 losses to the Browns would probably easily be in our top 5 (MNF game in 2008, had a winning record up until this loss, 29-27 loss, Trent throws three interceptions in 1st quarter) and of course (6-3 loss in 2009 at home to winless Browns, most pathetic game ever played).
  4. I'd say yes, and honestly, even if the Pats smoke them tomorrow, I'll still say it. I know the popular opinion seems to be "they beat crappy teams, they'll be brought back down to earth when they start playing real competition". Say what you want about how bad the Titans and Texans are but Miamis' previous games include a loss to Jacksonville and barely beating Washington it darn sure looks like he's made a vast difference. Gonna be a lot tougher to beat them next week than it was in week 3.
  5. I would say Clay, Schmidt, and any one or two from the secondary between Gilmore, Darby, and Graham.
  6. Exactly, I'm sure Trent, Fitz, EJ all took similar crap on social media when they were working their tails off trying to win and just simply weren't good enough. Didn't see them complain back at everyone.
  7. I will say this, Sammy says what he "once" to say.
  8. I really do think we can win again when Tyrod comes back. #Notdoneyet
  9. I would say Browns fans are one of the few fan-bases that have had it worse than us. 2 playoff births and no division titles since 1989. Been to the playoffs more recently but only by a few years. At least we had the 90s.
  10. agreed, if we are going to hang on to EJ might as well bring in someone who is better than him as well.
  11. Any QB who can win games with the Raiders seems pretty legit to me. They have the Jets next week then the Steelers after that (perhaps with Ben coming back?) if they can win those games, no question he's the real deal.
  12. Not as much as I would be if we didn't also get a call in our favor.
  13. I was thinking the same thing. From my view, which wasn't the best I'll admit, I thought it was PI. It may have been incidental contact but I don't know, looked like we got away with one there. That's why I'm not so upset over the horrible PI called against Robey on the last drive.
  14. Never said they wouldn't suffer, but lose to a team like Jacksonville? I don't think any of those teams would let that happen.
  15. As someone who never bought into (or understood) the Roman hype I can say that from my perspective he has called two good games so far this year, Colts (who are terrible) and Dolphins (who were terrible under Philbin). The Niners were good because of their defense not the offense. In fact the offense seemed to screw them over in big games they could have won (see 2012 NFC Championship game against the Giants). Maybe it is just the injuries but he hasn't convinced me.
  16. Yeah, gotta stop with the injury excuses. It's a part of the game and good teams prepare for injuries. If the true playoff caliber teams of the league, even wildcard level like the Rams, Jets, and Steelers, suffer injuries at the same level we've been dealing with I bet they'd still find a way to beat Jacksonville.
  17. It was hard to see with the feed we were watching on but it looked like we got away with a blatant PI on the pick-6. Not to mention the horrible roughing the pass play where it looked like they hit EJ cleanly and the suspect uncatchable PI called on them on the 2pt try. Not saying the PI call on Robey wasn't bad, it was a horrible call, but it certainly looked like we got our fair share of calls too. This loss falls on the team as a whole from coaching down to the players NOT the officials.
  18. Making the playoffs ahead of the Jets won't depend on whether the Patriots beat them or not. It will depend on whether or not we beat them. I'm rooting for the Jets over Pats.
  19. Yeap, agreed, we really only have a shot at the last playoff spot but I think it is very attainable. Jets's schedule has been soft and it will get tougher, Chargers just don't look that good this year, Chiefs lost all hope when Charles went down, Texans are just bad.
  20. Dolphins looked scary yesterday under Dan Campbell. Routed a team we barely beat just a week ago. Not saying we'll lose to them but they won't be as easy as they were in week 3.
  21. Giving up a 90 yard drive to start the 2nd half after we scored to end the first half is a product our offense going 3 and out? Also, ST is partly to blame for the field position.
  22. Not necessarily, maybe he just didn't want Miami's D-coordinator job seeing what a train-wreck they've been all season (today's game aside).
  23. We are 3-2, so his current number of targets must be working to some extent.
  24. When exactly has he been open and not gotten the targets? Is there video evidence of this? If so, where?
  25. Encouragement - we will be, by far, the Bengals' toughest road test up to this point in the season.
