  1. Yeah, I can't watch Patriots games. Even in the playoffs. Good for my blood pressure not to watch them.
  2. So first the BS pass interference call against Robey on their game winning drive against us and then this. The refs cheating for the Jaguars now?
  3. Anyone know of any superstitious "Bills win every time we eat this" food? That might have to be my MNF dinner next week. Unless it's something like sauerkraut and cabbage. I'd rather not win than suffer through that.
  4. Still think Fitz is a solid QB and was when he was with us. Struggles had nothing to do with opposing teams figuring him out. I don't think people understand how horrid our defense was when he was our QB. During those few years we had one of the worst defenses ever to play the game of professional football and no that is not an exaggeration. It literally was incapable of stopping an opposing offense. Because of this Fitz was forced to score on almost every drive we had the ball. If he didn't we lost. And he had to do it with a mediocre WR group (Stevie was mediocre). Put Ben Roethlisberger, Phillip Rivers, and any other good QB in the league in a situation where they have to score on every drive because their own defense can't stop anything and they will struggle too. Just as bad. I think most people are just upset over the big contract he got. Blame the front office for that.
  5. Yeah, was going to mention this. He needs to know when to give up on a play and throw the ball away vs when there's still a chance to do something. But aside from this, he was solid.
  6. Games we should/need to win, no excuse: Texans @Redskins Jets Games that will be a struggle but I really think we can win: @Chiefs @Eagles Dallas Only game we really don't stand much of a chance in: @Pats So the first 3, we need to win. Lose any one of those, and I don't see us going to the playoffs. Win all three of those, then it comes down to the middle 3. If we can at least go 2-1 in those games I think we're a playoff team. 1-2 in those games and it would be really tough to get in but still possible.
  7. We beat a team who had a better record than us and who came within a TD of New England. And they had Fitz who is a decent QB. And now we have a winning record in mid-November. No good reason not to be happy about that.
  8. And next Monday would be a great night to follow that up with a legendary performance to shut down a legendary QB.
  9. wow, 45 - 0 in favor of both our QB and RB situation. I wonder if anyone will take the leap and be the first to go against the grain there. Honestly, I could really understand someone taking Fitz over TT. Taylor has looked good, just like Fitz and even Trent did at one point. In order for him to be firmly ahead of Fitz though he needs to be consistent the entire year all the way through to the end and keep us playoff competitive. Despite our defensive struggles I still think our defense of today is better than any defenses we had when Fitz was our QB so I think that's a distinct advantage TT has working for him.
  10. I didn't know that they were definitely going to add 2 more teams but I'm in the same boat as those who do not want to add playoff teams. I think the set up right now is just fine and, as others have mentioned, I want the Bills to make the playoffs in this format, not simply get in because they added more teams.
  11. I think they can still win most of their games coming up. Atlanta has looked awful the past few weeks, Tampa has looked awful all year, and they always beat Houston.
  12. Yeah, agreed, I really thought that should have been a sack as well. If Suh had made any more of an effort to bring him down then he did he probably would have gotten penalized with today's rules. We got away with one there.
  13. I actually think he has a lot to do with this. He's proof that you don't reach for a QB just because you need one. You go after one if you really like him and are confident that he at least has potential to lead your franchise.
  14. I might go as far as to say the defense is simply not good. The Dolphins bailed us out with some mistakes like going for it on the last play before halftime. The defense is a big problem right now.
  15. For as much as we complain about officiating when calls go against us I think it's only fair to point out that we got some big calls in our favor today. 1. Karlos Williams clearly fumbled the ball on his 2nd quarter TD run before the ball broke the plane. The endzone camera angle showed this. Should have been a touchback, Miami's ball. 2. Suh had Tyrod spun around just before the long TD pass to Sammy and it should have been registered as a sack. If it would have been called a sack as it should have been Miami would have declined the penalty, we would have punted, and that would have meant no TD pass to Sammy. At the end of the day a win is a win and I'm glad we won. I still think we deserved the win especially after the many times we've been hosed by bad calls in the past. But I think it needs to be pointed out that we got some breaks today.
  16. True, but everyone gets shredded by Brady and the Raiders game was bad but the defense also shut down Aaron Rodgers just one week earlier. But yes, I like the optimism when it comes to Ryan. As I recall, I think it took the Ravens some time to really understand his defense.
  17. I don't think we are in nearly as bad of shape as the Browns and 49ers. Especially if we can get TT back this week.
  18. held on to Deangelo WIlliams on one of my fantasy teams just in case. Sounds like that may pay off down the stretch.
  19. Jets w/ Fitz: 4-2, came within a TD of NE Jets w/o Fitz: getting slaughtered by the Raiders Boy, Fitz is terrible.
  20. This seems wildly pessimistic. They will run over us even if they don't have Romo? They haven't won a game without him and even with him they should have lost week 1. But I will say I think we are a 7-9 to 8-8 team. May depend on when we get TT back and if we can get other key players healthy down the stretch.
  21. As much as I like Glenn, at this point, I kind of hope he's dead only because they would have to pull something kind of dumb to keep him alive. Even if the whole pulling Nick's body on top of his comes true that just seems a little too far-fetched.
  22. One that has always flown beneath the radar in my mind is San Fran in 2008. We were 6-5 and still very well in the playoff race. The week before we had gotten a big win in KC to get some momentum back after a string of tough losses. In came the sorry Niners led by Mike Singletary at HC and Shaun Hill at QB. We had no excuse to lose this game and yet we completely lay an egg and lose 10-3 missing 2 field goals (one from 40 and one even from 20).
