  1. Oh the irony. I don't think this was mentioned in another thread. He wanted harder extra points to give his team an advantage since they have one of the best kickers in the league and it ends up costing them. This is pretty darn awesome: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/01/25/belichick-wanted-harder-extra-points-and-he-got-them/
  2. Yeah, infact Brady got away with 2 blatant intentional groundings on that last drive. If anything, they were trying to fix the game in NE's favor.
  3. I wonder what people would have said about the Bills in 2016 if we created this topic in 2012. Would be interesting to reflect. I'll say by that point we will have made the playoffs. Either with Rex, or we will have let him go and another coach will have finally gotten us there and Tyrod will still be out QB. We will be maybe on the level of the Chiefs, good team who makes the playoffs and can contend for a SB but maybe not an elite team like Denver/NE/Arizona/Car today. As a bonus, after his surprising gold medal in the Rio 2016 Olympics, Marquise Goodwin will be going for another gold in Tokyo 2020.
  4. +1 even if the Broncos win the AFC Championship game. Time for Manning and Brady to retire.
  5. See them get #5 to where they can basically say they were the best team of all time? No thank you, don't want to have to hear that from Patriots fans for the rest of my life.
  6. I was rooting against them as well but mostly because they should have lost last week on a FG that is made probably 99.9 % of the time. Otherwise, it would have been nice to see them win one for Freddy.
  7. Some teams just can't make winning easy on themselves. Vikings, Bengals, and Cardinals all of a history of falling short and all have just choked massively in the playoffs.
  8. Prayers to him, hope he gets better. #MortStrong
  9. Gabbert was actually doing pretty well there as the starter. If they do go back to Kaep with this move I'm think Gabbert isn't going to be happy being 2nd string again.
  10. Some information on the premiere date and it looks like they are handling this season a little differently this time. Sounds interesting: http://www.tvguide.com/news/vikings-season-4-premiere-date/
  11. My bad, Griffin got hurt and Cousins played in most of the game I was thinking of.
  12. You would seriously take EJ over RGIII? No one is saying RGIII is great. That's why the argument is for him to be the #2 in an offseason where there really are not many better options. He has at least one solid season under his belt as a starter. If you need RGIII to give you 2 or 3 solid to maybe even good games in the middle of the season if your starter goes down he can get you those whereas EJ proved this past year that he can't even give you that. Griffin actually beat Jacksonville.
  13. Good game. I was hoping Clemson would win. I tend to root for teams who haven't won in a while over teams who win all the time. Plus it's always nice to see the SEC knocked down a peg. But entertaining nonetheless.
  14. Given the fact that EJ is our current backup I'm actually amazed by all the nos to be honest. If it's between him and EJ I'll take RGIII in a heartbeat.
  15. Fireball whiskey and they Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire. Both taste pretty much the same IMO. And I could take them straight up or in some root beer. Also, even though rum wasn't mentioned, I really like the rumchata.
  16. I don't think I'm going to be excited again until we are coming off a playoff season. I'm tired of getting my hopes up over this hire, that hire, this signing, how we finished from a previous season (although I really wasn't as hopeful as most other people were last offseason). I guess the only thing that would maybe make me feel a little better is (and I know this isn't going to happen) if we hired Jim Schwartz back and both Rex and Rob promised they would let him handle the defense 100% and if because of that we decided to keep Mario. Sorry, I'm not buying the excuses about more injuries in 2015 than 2014 or that Rex's defense needs more time before it starts working. We were better off with Schwartz calling the defense.
  17. You could make an argument that the Vikings are the most hexed team in football. Lost 4 Super Bowls, 99 and 10 NFC championship games, and now this.
  18. Agreed. Personally I credit the upgrade in QB and huge upgrade in RB more for our improvements on offense (not to mention the very tiny shoes he had to fill seeing as Hackett was the coordinator before him). However, if he wants to stay on board, he really needs to make these changes.
  19. It shouldn't IMO. If Tyrod is a true competitor he should welcome competition. If he gets upset over it then as far as I'm concerned he's a kitty. I think you need a solid back up plan at QB with the potential of injury. The way Tyrod plays, his likelihood for injury is higher other QBs in the league. If we want to avoid another loss to a team like Jacksonville because Tyrod got hurt we need a better #2 and if that means bringing someone in who is good enough to challenge Tyrod I'm all for it.
  20. Superbowl: Washington vs Houston
  21. I don't think Mario will but other than that, I think they will relish the spoiler roll and play hard. Honestly, if they do win, it will be kind of frustrating IMO because they haven't really played hard over recent weeks and if they find knocking the Jets out of the playoffs more motivating than trying to win when they still have a chance to make the playoffs themselves then something is tremendously wrong with that.
  22. How would he have run out of time to look for another team? They released Brown after him and he had plenty of time to be signed by another team.
  23. What I still don't like about it was the fact that, at the time, they decided to keep Bryce Brown over FJ just because he was younger. Brown was awful and should have been cut long before Jackson.
  24. Maybe I'm missing something but if we are going to get rid of him why not try trading him? I'm thinking a team playing the 4-3 would give us good value for him. Letting him go for a division rival to pick up and hunt down Tyrod twice a year would be one of the more boneheaded moves we've ever made.
  25. If this is true then we've had a number of championship winning coaches.
