  1. Looking forward to when we play in Baltimore. May have to get some people together and go.
  2. Typo, meant to say 25.
  3. Not a fan of the touchbacks starting at the 20 rule. I wasn't a fan when they did it in college either. The last thing guys like Tom Brady and Aaron Rogers need is a shorter field.
  4. At the risk of this thread being bumped in December if the Dolphins are in 1st place in the division after having beaten us twice I'll say no. I still think Mario can be good but Ryan Tannehill doesn't scare me.
  5. All in all, a lot of people were down on us giving up a 2015 1st round draft pick in 2014 for Sammy. Now we have a potential top tier receiver and we still did well in last year's draft even without a 1st round pick. I'm liking that move a lot more.
  6. I know there was a thread on him before where a number of people were dead set against him, but I'd take RGIII as a back-up over a vast majority of these options.
  7. Yeap, I never even knew about that until the "Four falls of Buffalo" a few months ago. Was glad to see him treated with such class.
  8. "Suffer through the bad seasons now, avoid being called a 'bandwagoner' when the Bills are perennial winners later"
  9. The legend of Kiko Alonso Daryl Dixon.
  10. I'd say Jags because of their softer division. Texans were exposed in the playoffs and I believe they will stumble without better QB play, Titans need better weapons for Mariota, and IMO Luck seemed to regress a little bit last year even before he got hurt. Meanwhile, on our end, Brady still looks as good as ever. If they had made better decisions against Denver in the championship game they are probably celebrating their 5th Superbowl championship.
  11. The last shot I saw of the play, it looked like a Denver lineman maybe had only an arm on it and if Cam had dove down with his body on it he easily could have taken it away from whoever had his arm on it. I may have seen it incorrectly however, IMO, at that point in the game, it was clear that if Denver recovered the fumble, they were SB champs. That was the play that basically ended Carolina's season-long journey for a championship. Therefore, even if a 300-pound lineman has pounced his entire body completely on top of it you still dive and go after the ball.
  12. 'Oh yeah, you beat a 15-1 team? I beat 16-0. Top that big brother.'
  13. I guess this is one way to have our team in the news the day after a Superbowl.
  14. 214 days until Thursday September 8th (this looks like the most likely date for the opening game for 2016). Any bets on who Denver will play? Home opponents: Kansas City Oakland San Diego Houston Indianapolis Atlanta Carolina - Superbowl rematch New England - Brady
  15. "After 56 years of failure Bills finally win it all"
  16. Jets fans might boo us harder than they boo the Pats next year.
  17. The problem you may experience is say it takes 10 years of drafting a QB every year before you finally find the right one (and as many busts as there are, this is a very real possibility). By then, since you've focused so much on QB that you're depleted in other areas. Say one of those areas is o-line. Once you finally get the great QB, maybe he leads you to wins (like Andrew Luck's first 3 years) or maybe your depleted o-line gets him killed (like Andrew Luck this year). I fear the latter happening so much that I just don't think this is a good strategy even in knowing how vital a QB is.
  18. Perhaps taking a lesson from Ray Lewis announcing he's retiring to inspire his teamates to win it all.
  19. As someone who probably hasn't gotten off on President's day since grade school I don't need it to extend out that long. But I guess it opens up more people (students, government employees) to stay up and watch the game plus all of the post game stuff if you're in to all of that without worrying about work the next day. Aside from Walking Dead season, yeah, I'd say you're right.
  20. Agreed on the 85 Pats. I know the Bears had a great defense but getting mauled that bad by Jim McMahon? Meanwhile, the Cowboys teams we lost to were loaded at just about all 22 positions.
  21. Lol, took me some time to realize this thread was from 3 years ago. I was especially confused when I read about taking Fitz over Cam.
  22. VPN - Being able to work from home is awesome.
  23. I will say that while I like Cam and I'm rooting for Carolina, I wouldn't mind seeing Peyton get his 2nd ring. I may be the only one who thinks this but I believe you can make the argument that winning 2 Superbowls with 2 different teams is more impressive than winning 4 with the same team (especially when you've had the same HOF coach throughout those 4 championships).
  24. Reviews and calls that go wrong on obvious calls happen all the time. If we went back through history, we could probably find calls and reviews that went our way or gave us some boost (Don Beebe stepping out of bounds before catching a big TD pass in the comeback game). That review is NOT why we lost. We were the better team for most of the season, we had plenty of opportunities, we lost fair and square.
  25. Not too many people thought Denver would beat NE and they beat them but this won't be in Denver. Carolina wins but I don't think it will be a blow out like last time (as long as Peyton doesn't give up a safety in the opening seconds of the game this time).
