I was thinking a couple weeks ago during the Olympics that there have now been 5 Olympics since our last playoff appearance. Also, since there were some 16 year old Olympians, that means there were some athletes who weren't even born the last time we were in the playoffs. Just some bitter food for thought. We are due for a run of good teams.

Mine is still open but it looks like more people signed up for this one so if you want to be part of the bigger group then yeah, you'll need to go through it again through the league in this topic.

It was only a preseason game and to be honest the Giants looked flat out bad but this game was quite encouraging. Defense looked great and, dare I say, even EJ did really well. I know he only went against 2nd stringers but his passing was spot on. Only negatives were Felton's goal line fumble and Jordan Gay missing an XP and his utterly ridiculous FG miss.

I'd say go with a throwback. I'm sticking with my Thurman Thomas jersey this year.

I thought Gabbert looked pretty solid last year but I'm not big on Chip Kelly. I expect us to win this one. Dareus will be back by then. Certainly positives, good analysis, but I recall a few years back Jeff Tuel stepped into the 4th quarter of a preseason game and at the time seemed to have had all the tools and skills to be something special.

Maybe we can hope for an early season Buffalo cold front? Might put a team from Arizona at a disadvantage? Not that it means anything for this game but Carson Palmer has never beaten the Bills. If our defense improves as much as people say it can (which I'm still very skeptical about) I think we might stand a better chance at this game than people think.

It sounds like some expect us to win at Baltimore with perhaps relative ease. I think that's a dangerous assumption. It's rare that the Ravens follow one bad year up with another. Keep in mind, week 1 last year they went into Denver and came within a few yards of the winning touchdown. Only lost by 6. Then the injuries piled up and I think that contributed to their downfall the rest of the year. They'll be healthy again week 1.

Descent coach, lucky to have had Brady. He failed in Cleveland not too long after Marty Schottenheimer made them perennial contenders. His first year in NE sans Brady ended in 5-11. Next year they begin 0-2 before Brady steps in and that is when he finally starts becoming a winning coach. 2008 Brady goes down and they miss the playoffs losing to a Dolphins team that went 1-15 the year before. Brady has made him look better than he really is.
