I stand by my belief that is we beat Cincinnati in a couple of weeks (which we really can do especially if LeSean is healthy) we are right in the playoff race.
Then what player(s) makes them a Superbowl contender? Defense is solid but not that great. Alex Smith is at best about as good as a journeyman and their top offensive threat has barley seen the field for over a year. Andy Reid is the main reason they are a contender.
Not ready to give up on the season yet. Beat the Bengals in a few weeks (and I really think we stand a good chance to do that) and that should make us one of the wildcard favorites.
I would say those are good reasons to maybe give him a break now and again but to say he gets a full pass for an entire year, no. Especially since I don't think these excuses would be made if our current coach was Jauron, Gailey, Marrone, etc.
I know I'm a little late in answering this but I guess Aaron would have been the least sad death to see. Though I knew they were going to go with someone bigger than him. And yeah, I tried not to follow the spoilers because I wanted to be surprised so I didn't know it had to be someone on Rick's right side.
Looks like this is going to be a fun TWD season which is good because if this ends up being another disappointing Bills season it will be nice to have something to look forward to on Sunday nights.
I agree it was a cheap shot but I'm glad we didn't retaliate. All it would have most likely done is drawn a penalty on us and if that penalty would have costed us the game then Landry comes out looking like the winner.
Going to bring this thread back again. On a day when Schwartz' defense shuts down and unbeaten team even overcoming his QB giving them short fields twice Rex's defense looks flat out rancid.
You know what, I stand corrected, you are right, not sure why I didn't include Brees. In fact, I absolutely agree that he is highly under-appreciated seeing as how he has never had anything more than average receivers to throw to and sub-par to crappy defenses which has forced him to constantly make plays. A lot of people put Ben ahead of him and that's just something I don't agree with seeing as Ben has usually had good receivers to throw to and at one point he had some great defenses.
I'll put Brees at #2 on my list and bump everyone else down one.
1. Tyrod Taylor

.
10000. Everyone else
But seriously, here's mine which would have probably included Wentz a few weeks ago but he's kind of stunk it up the last couple of games:
1. Dak Prescott
2. Matt Ryan
3. Matthew Stafford (not too many QBs lose their star receiver and still do well)
4. Derek Carr
5. Kirk Cousins (May be a reach here I feel like he's a big reason for their winning streak)
Brady has been great but hasn't quite played enough games and Ben has also done well but he is loaded with talent around him.
I wasn't saying Seattle was more important. I was bolding the games that are going to be against playoff caliber teams.
Not scared either, but it will definitely be a much tougher stretch than what we've seen so far.
Not sure if this takes into account our schedule the next few weeks after Miami:
Sun, Oct 30 New England Mon, Nov 7 @Seattle Sun, Nov 20 @Cincinnati Sun, Nov 27 Jacksonville Sun, Dec 4 @Oakland Sun, Dec 11 Pittsburgh
Bills' last 5 game winning streak: 2004. And it was actually a 6 game win streak right before the last week of the season when we played the Steelers' backups with a playoff spot on the line and, well, you know what happened after that. Let's do it right this time. Bills 24 Fins 14
Vikings or Bucs. Can't go wrong with either team this week.
But seriously, I'd probably say Steelers unless you really want to chance it and save the Steelers for a later game. In that case I might go with the Titans.
As I recall, we came into that game one week after getting whooped, as usual, by NE. That was a game I believe we felt like we could have maybe possibly taken the Patriots down in and we got smoked so it's possible we may have gone into the Vikings game a little down on ourselves. Hopefully that doesn't happen this time around but this does seem like a potential trap game (like San Diego was to Denver last night).
