It's May, draft is over, months away from preseason, not a ton of football happenings. I guess we gotta have something entertaining to talk about.

Very sorry to hear this. Thoughts and prayers to Berman and you.

Yeah, we had info on him, but IMO, that info wasn't good. He was with the Jets for 6 seasons and while they did make the AFC Championship game in his first couple of years they seemed to just regress each year he was there. Also, the lack of discipline and being almost more of a buddy instead of a coach to the players was something I found troubling. As far as the energy, it only seemed to be there when they were winning from what I could see. I will agree about Jackson or Schwartz. I would have loved either one of them.

Can I ask what it is about Rex that, even at the time we hired him, had you believing in him? IMO, Rex had way more red flags than McDermott or any of our recent coaching hires. I honestly wanted to make a post like this when we hired Rex but there seemed to be so much optimism around him (no idea where that optimism came from) that I didn't want to come off as a negative fan. I would say, I'm at a place where, McDermott is our coach, there really weren't any stand out candidates who IMO were clearly better when we were interviewing, so I'm willing to give him a chance. But at the same time I'm not saying I think he's our answer and is clearly the guy to lead us to the promised land. Not sure I understand how attention to detail wouldn't make for a good coach?

Interesting article on NFL's "Racial Divide"

Golf gets talked about a lot and I don't understand how that is considered a sport worth talking so much about. I would much rather watch Swimming than Golf. Swimming is incredibly tough to train for. -

[closed]NFL Network Final mock draft

I'm sure what will upset most people about this is that not a single QB had been taken yet and he still took MW. -

Opening the season against the Jets hasn't fared too well for us in recent memory. Hoping this one turns out better. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201209090nyj.htm http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/200209080buf.htm http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/199409040buf.htm -
Post Your Schedule Complaints Here

Weeks 2 through 5 could be anywhere from brutal to easily winnable. The Panthers, Broncos, and Bengals all had down years last year but could recover this year and the Falcons had a good year last year but was that a fluke or will they be tough again? At KC in week 13, should be interesting. In 2013, 2014, and 2015 we lost mid to late season games to the Chiefs, all three of which we could have and in some cases should have won. In all three cases those could have arguably been the losses that kept us from the playoffs. -
Gut feeling, we open @ Cincinnati.

I love the Bills (football team). But I hate the bills I have to pay (electric, car, Fios, etc)

Is it okay to have a second team to root for?
Talley56 replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Being in Maryland I do root for the Ravens when they aren't playing the Bills and I do have a soft spot for the Giants who beat Brady/Belichik in the Superbowl twice. Also, I'll tend to pull for teams who are mostly underdogs like the Browns, Lions, Redskins. As long as my ultimate support is for the Bills I see nothing wrong with any of that. -

Way too early forecast: http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/philadelphia-pa/19102/daily-weather-forecast/350540?day=21 -
Been through Batavia on my way to the Buffalo are a couple of times. As I recall it's about a 30-45 minute drive along I90 east of the Buffalo area. Seemed like a nice place to have a stadium. It seems like it would give that small town feel that you get in Orchard Park (which I love) yet it's not like it would be out in the middle of nowhere. But I'll admit, I'm not sure what it would do to the Buffalo economy overall.

Well-said. Imagine if Luck had Sammy to throw to. It could possibly develop into the best QB/WR tandem in the league.

The Sam Bradford at 15 is IMO destroying any credibility this list may have. 7 years, never made the playoffs, and he's ahead of guys who've gotten there consistently like Dalton (granted, he's had AJ Green to throw to), Flacco who has won a Superbowl, and Eli who has won 2 Superbowls. Also think Stafford is too high and it's too soon to put WInston, Mariota, and Wentz as high as they are.

Bills at Patriots, November 29, 1998 ending
Talley56 replied to BrycePaup4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember this game/ending. I said it back then and 19 years later my opinion hasn't changed, if that was PI then just about every desperation heave at the end of a game is PI. Not only was it on a hail mary, where receivers and defenders are usually making all kinds of contact with each other, but there was barely any contact at all between the defender and receiver on that play. Not sure what they were looking at. Dreadfully bad call. That was almost as bad of a call as the FailMary. -
Epic scene with Shiva (the tiger) jumping in just before Carl's about to get his brains bashed in. Agreed, she was great.

Raiders Still Hoping for Fan Support(Bills Related)

Also, a lot of people forget the Rams originated in Cleveland. So the Rams and the old Browns (now Ravens) both left Cleveland. -
I had always been worried about whether or not I'd be accepted among native WNYers as a Bills fan since I'm not from the area. Turns out, on this board, as well as with the people I watch Bills games with each Sunday, it doesn't really matter where I'm from. As long as I'm a Bills fan, I'm accepted. Best fanbase in the league.

Grew up in MD and first got into football in the middle of the 1990 season when Buffalo was in the middle of it's first super bowl run. The Colts had left a long time ago and the idea of the Browns moving from Cleveland was nowhere near a possibility yet. I gravitated towards the Bills and stuck by them ever since. I do admittedly root for the Ravens but I am a Bills fan first and foremost.
