  1. Could not disagree more than I do with the idea that this is mediocre/bad football. I love the parity and it is making for great football. I would attribute it to ajustments and preparation made for each week against teams coaches have more film on as the season goes on. Much more entertaining than watching Manning or Brady carve some helpless defense up. Unlike the NBA where, over the last few seasons, it's been inevitable that the finals will end up being Cavs/Warrios with months of playing for 3rd place until June for all other teams. I will take parity over that any day, and I mean ANY DAY!
  2. The comeback is in jeopardy. Lions trailed by 35.
  3. Honestly did not read the rest of the comments nor did I look around the internet for it: Denver Broncos
  4. Playoff contender, yes. We have a playoff caliber defense, a running back who is still elite, a winnable schedule, and we have already beaten a team we most likely will be competing with in the wild card race (Denver). Throw in New England's struggles on defense and the playoffs are very much a possibility. While every game is important I think the next few games against Tampa, Oakland, NY Jets, and New Orleans are very crucial.
  5. Browns must be kicking themselves right now. Wentz is the real deal and will be for a while.
  6. What's most painful about this is Folk is the kicker who nailed a 53 yard fg with the Cowboys to beat us in that crazy MMF game some years back. Granted, he was much younger then but still he can beat us but he can't help us.
  7. After the offensive PI called on Holmes in our final drive against Carolina I don't want to hear it. We could be 4-0 if that doesn't get called.
  8. They won on a last second field goal. Not sure if you meant they blew us out or just that they beat us.
  9. RIP My favorite
  10. Ball was coming out of his hand before his arm started coming forward. Then, without actually having a grip on it, he pretty much just pushed it forward. Fumble was a correct call.
  11. Might need some heart meds
  12. If they can lose out and grab the #1 pick ahead of the Jets I wouldn't mind that at all.
  13. As a Terps fan, great to see a team we put up 51 on, in Austin, go into a national championship contender's house and take them into OT.
  14. Football is different though. I believe it was Steve Young who said that it's not natural to want to go out and hit people. I don't need motivation to go to my office job even on days where I have to talk to clients but if my job required me to go out, hit people, take hits, throw my body out on the line then I would definitely need to get more psyched up.
  15. Yeah but going back to the Jacksonville game a couple years back in London when we were hosed by a phantom PI call we never should have allowed them to be that close in that one yet a lot of people complained. Don't turn the ball over on three straight drives and Jacksonville isn't even in the game.
  16. Bradberry: ahh, thank you man, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
  17. Hmm, I didn't see the game but he did barely beat a team in OT yesterday who surrendered 51 @ home to Maryland just a couple of weeks ago.
  18. Exactly! As much as I'd like to believe this is the beginning of the end of their dominance, I am not going to start buying into it until they start losing some more games. I recall them getting pounded by the Chiefs on a prime time game just a few years ago. People were suggesting they were finally on their way down, Belichick was supposedly thinking about trading Brady. And yet they were practically unbeatable literally the rest of the season.
  19. We may have only beaten the Jets last week but it's not like Carolina beat anyone great. Heck, the Niniers may be one of the few teams who could top the Jets for that first pick. We definitely stand a chance.
  20. Haven't seen it mentioned yet but I've really only been skimming threads but the most troubling play was Taylor throwing just throwing the ball down incomplete with a little less then 5 minutes to go. I don't know if that was his decision or if a coach told him to do that if he couldn't find anyone open but that showed a disturbing lack of time management. It was a 3rd down so taking a sack would have been better in order to run clock. I would really like to know why they thought that was a good idea. The throw was a little high but very catchable. And he didn't take the hit until after it bounced off his hands. You can maybe put a little bit of that on the throw but that is mostly on Clay. He needs to be able to catch those.
  21. I agree and for as much as we have been knocking Jauron for his "it's hard to win in the NFL" quote I think it's safe to say he was spot on.
  22. At least for right now, I'm not willing to give up hope before the season starts. No matter who we traded away, we're all 0-0 and whether we're the Bills/Browns or Packers/Patriots we are all at the same spot right now. If we do indeed start to crash and burn I'll continue to watch for the camaraderie at the Bills bar I go to and to see what Peterman does if he gets the starting nod.
  23. 1. Fitz 2. Bledsoe 3. Flutie 4. Taylor 5. Edwards
  24. Overrated: Kirk Cousins, Pat Mahomes Underrated: Jay Cutler, Deshone Kizer
