This comment is baffling to me. If the Bills ever win a SB (or the O's ever win a WS) I am gladly buying championship gear and keeping it around to reminisce on it 20, 30, 50 years down the road. Couldn't care less who doesn't care.
I believe Miami would as they would have a better division record as winning out would mean beating us and the Pats* losing out would mean losing to us then the Jets. I guess it’s always possible.
Beating the Pats, and it’s not even close. It would be even sweeter if they lost home field to Houston then had to play at Houston in the playoffs and lost a close one knowing that having home field might have made a difference. Miami needs way too much help and I don’t see them making the postseason even if they do win out.
^^ This, while I haven’t been hesitant to call out bad throws from him I like how Allen has progressed but way too soon to say who the best is definitely. Throughout 2012 an argument could have been made that RG3 was the better pick than Luck.
The one he caught over Wallace went through Wallace’s hands and right into his chest. Both were tough catches yes but I would still say it’s tougher to catch a ball thrown way over your head.
Not to play devils advocate but the one he dropped over the middle today was more on Allen than him. Yes it hit his hands but the throw was much higher than it should have been. Zay has definitely been a disappointment but I really think only the elite receivers would have caught that ball.
I very much agree with the OP on this. And while I agree that he faltered in the playoffs given our hope at the time to just finally become a playoff contender again I would have thought we would have been the perfect landing spot for him.
So this may not be a very popular opinion and I don't think he's going to win but if I could pick a sleeper it would be Pete Carroll. The way he has been able to keep Seattle winning and ahead in the wildcard race after all that they have lost particularly on defense as well as dealing with Baldwin missing some games to injury I thought they would actually regress this year. Gotta admit he has done a fantastic job with them this season.
Not a smart move at all imo. While I don’t think Flacco is great I always thought he was better than a lot of people gave him credit for. Aside from Boldin for a few years he never really had any WRs to throw to. I still think he gives them the best chance to win.
The obvious one was the loss to the Steelers in 04 but I’ll also add in a “write-in candidate”: I wasn’t sure if this would qualify as we weren’t in the playoff race but 12/4/05 @ Miami. We we up by 3 TDs and I believe we could have been up by more but we blew some chances on some turnovers near the goal line. The Dolphins come back in the 4th quarter and Sage Rosenfels beats us on a last second TD pass 24-23.
