I Can't Wait 'Til The Home Opener!!!!!!!
Talley56 replied to R. Rich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Some things to ponder as we wait: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/29252012/when-2020-nfl-season-start-answering-biggest-questions-100-days-out https://www.nfl.com/news/nine-nfl-bandwagons-to-hop-aboard-in-2020-bills-bucs-top-list -
Call me a freakazoid if you wish, but I love summer. Not ashamed of it one bit. I would probably say I prefer spring a little more but this time of year with the longer daylight, windows down in the car, pools, etc. I love it. The humidity sucks but that's when you find a pool or the beach to jump into. Problem solved. Even though I graduated 20 years ago, I still associate summer with end of school so I think that's why I love it so much. And I'm not as big of a Fall person as most others seem to be but, there again, I still associate it with having to go back to school, so that may be why. Football is probably the one thing I look forward to when it comes to Fall.

Still Taking a Vacation this Summer?
Talley56 replied to Halloween Land's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I will not be vacationing but I also will not be working for at least a part of the summer. I will be unemployed beginning next week as my position at work will be eliminated at the end of May. Not sure how long until I find new employment given the current situation the world is in but I would definitely rather be working while maybe taking a one week vacation at some point. -
Bills vs Browns last year
Talley56 replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We sure do love debating whether or not plays are forward passes around here. -
Let’s just hope the Bills live up to preseason expectations unlike the Browns last year who were practically crowned SB champions only to completely bomb.

Not a fan. The general argument for those in favor of the rule seems to be that the current probability of recovering an onside kick is too low. The thing is, I honestly think it should be low. Scoring a TD and then following that by getting the ball back on the ensuing kickoff should take a miracle IMO.

Big Ben is back - Steelers AFC North favorite?
Talley56 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know what the stats of his last playoff game, from over two years ago, have to do with how he'll do this year (btw, Bell and Brown accounted for over 200 of those yards) but I never said QBs weren't more important. I'm just saying you cannot deny that not having Bell/Brown will be a huge detriment. You're on a board where people are constantly talking about Allen being held back by a lack of good WR options. I would be really surprised if Ben puts up those numbers this year. -
Big Ben is back - Steelers AFC North favorite?
Talley56 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Without Bell or Brown, missing an entire season, and getting close to 40, I don't see Ben being very effective anymore. Ravens may take a small step back but they'll still be one of the best teams in the AFC and probably the entire league. -
Buffalo Bills Official 2020 Schedule
Talley56 replied to Do The Reich Thing's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeap, I could see it happening. They started to turn things up towards the end of the season last year and really should have beaten the Niners in week 16. That is going to be a tough division for the Bills to have to play against. -
Just watched Replay of Bills/Pats Week16
Talley56 replied to BobbyC81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just goes to show how badly they had Buffalo's number with TB. The next two weeks they lost at home to Miami, who Buffalo was clearly better than, and then Tennessee in the playoffs. No reason the Bills couldn't have won that game. -
Who remembers 3 TD's in 1 minute, 17 seconds ?
Talley56 replied to LB48's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That whole span of time was pretty much a passing of the torch in the AFC. Broncos had been the team to beat in recent years, winning 3 of the prior 4 AFC championships, and then Buffalo pulls this one out and proceeds to replace Denver with 4 straight AFC titles. -
That 11/1 game vs NE looks so tempting. I would be jumping on that if it wasn't for the current situation.

Me: "Hey boss, can I have a week off around Christmas" Boss: "It's May" Me: "Sorry, may I have a week off around Christmas"

Brady and the Bucs get 5 Primetime games
Talley56 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I never thought of Tampa as being a largely hated team. Aside from Tampa being the site of most likely Buffalo’s most heartbreaking loss in franchise history, this might be the most hate they’ve ever faced. -

Probably no point in buying tickets but at least we know which dates to set up zoom streams for. -

Lot of divisional games in week 1. -
Time for Tre White to mob receivers this year.

Ryan Howard on The Office. I loved the show but I never understood what his appeal was supposed to be. I found myself just bored anytime the Kelly/Ryan scenes came up.

Much respect, RIP

I was a little confused as to what you meant, but then I reread my post. I said I watched through the end of season 1 but I meant to say I have watched all the way through season 3, oops. So I'm caught up.

I just started watching this show during the quarantine. I have gotten through all episodes from the first through the end of season 1. Great show. Ruth is awesome and I have new found respect for Jonah after *spoiler* he barged into Helen’s holding the gun to her. I was a fan of Buddy too (the old man who lived with the Byrds until he died). He was kind of a dirty old man but I grew to like his character.

Can we change all of his attributes to 99?

Not laughable at all. If Lamar stays healthy they are going to be a top tier team again. But I certainly believe the Bills have gotten better and have the chance to be a top tier team. But they have to actually prove it. Even though the Chiefs won the super bowl the Ravens still scare me more in the regular season because I think they have a tougher defense.
