9/11 - where were you on the day that changed history?
Talley56 replied to RobbRiddick's topic in Off the Wall
In class. I was at a Community College at the time. The class lasted pretty much throughout the whole time that everything was going on. I had no idea. Then, when our class was moving to the computer lab, I saw a large group of students and professors gathered intently watching something on the TVs that were in the cafeteria. When I looked up at the TVs, all I saw was a tall building on fire along with some caption about the World Trade Center collapsing. When our class got to the computer lab, we all pretty much went online to see what on earth was going on and we found out little by little the horrors that had been going on that morning. -
The actual reason I'm on this board.

Well, if we're going to bring this up, I keep hearing how great the Browns are supposed to be, and yet some of their wins last year: By 5 and then by 3 over the Bengals By 3 over the Texans By 5 over the Eagles By 2 over the Jaguars By 2 over the Steelers' 2nd/3rd stringers

How will you out of town fans watch the game tonight?
Talley56 replied to Kwai San's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly, not interested enough to go out of my way to watch it since it's preseason. I have Sling so if I can find it somewhere, sure I'll turn it on, but if not, I will just catch highlights later or read various analyses. -

The Greatest 77 Seconds in Buffalo Bills Football
Talley56 replied to T&C's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Something about the Broncos defense around that time. There was this game where they kept the Bills to 9 points and it took Buffalo returning the blocked field goal and two turnovers to score on them. Then, in the AFC Championship game against the Denver the following season, Buffalo wins, but without scoring an offensive TD. Needed Bailey's pick-6 to get in the enzone in that one. -
The Greatest 77 Seconds in Buffalo Bills Football

This may have been the symbolic swing in the AFC. Denver represents the AFC in 3 of the prior 4 SBs, then Buffalo pulls this off, beating Denver, then proceeds to be the ones to represent the AFC in the next four SBs. -
Around the League Training Camp Thread

I'm on an AFC East Facebook page and I hate to admit it but some of the most obnoxious fans over there are from our fanbase. -
Closing ceremony just ended. Winter Olympics will be in a few months. The Super Bowl will be right in the middle of them. Will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Anything you look back on fondly that hasn’t aged well?
Talley56 replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
Mariah Carey, man did I ever have a crush on her back in the 90s. I don't even think I liked her songs, I just watched her videos so I could look at her. Now, I don't think I've paid the slightest bit of attention to her in decades. -
Who should be our #1 RB? Singletary or Moss?

Watched that girl from Alaska win the swimming gold medal live last night and her town back at home cheering and going nuts. My favorite moment of the games so far.

Question, as I am not a native to WNY, which place would be best if you like a lot of sauce? I've tried Duff's and Anchor Bar which were good but, I gotta be honest, I tried Mammosers one time, and I thought their wings were not very good at all. Not much sauce and just kind of bland overall.

If the Bills completely choke this year you'll need to do everything in your power to get it back.

This is a simple Poll. Will Josh Allen regress?
Talley56 replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't vote for some reason but I would say about the same only this time around "about the same" will be enough to get past the Chiefs and Bucs. -
Anyone interested in this? Or already declaring it a bust? https://www.cnet.com/news/fast-and-furious-could-crossover-with-jurassic-world-says-director/

What was the most impressive drive of the 2020 Season?
Talley56 replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would have to say the last TD drive that sealed the win in the first game vs Miami (week 2). I know a lot of what made that great was the big 3rd and 9 TD pass to John Brown. What made that so special was it was great to see the Bills actually go for the win instead of just playing not to lose. I feel like, in the past, on the rare occasion the Bills would have the ball and a late lead, on a 3rd and 9, they would have just played not to lose, like "maybe just run the ball, take some time off the clock, then hopefully we can pin them deep enough with the punt to see if our defense can win it". That drive showed that this team is different and plays to actually win games. Also, unlike prior offenses, they actually have the talent and capability to actually go for the win in those situations. -
I might have to say either the Thanksgiving win at Dallas or the win a few weeks later at Pittsburgh. Those were just the types of games Buffalo seemed to lose in he past even during the few "better" years like 04 and 14. Those two games just seemed to prove more than any others prior to last year that this was a coaching staff more committed to winning than others in the past.
