  1. Commercials have been very bland so far.
  2. I always wondered why he didn't go back to being a DC. Head coaching didn't work out but that doesn't mean he can't go back to doing what he does best, work with defenses. I felt like the Ravens' D dropped off a little after he left for the Jets.
  3. Super Bowl 58 will be one year from today. Hopefully we will be at some huge tailgates with excitement over finally seeing the Bills win it all at that point.
  4. Not at all. I was hoping they would upset the Eagles (though I knew it was highly unlikely).
  5. I think Daboll was the clear cut choice for COTY. Shanahan and Sirianni had way more talent to work with, Peterson did well to turn things around in Jacksonville but he benefited from a softer division than the Giants did.
  6. Me just seeing this post: I should follow the news more. Me realizing this was posted on Monday: Whoa, I REALLY need to follow the news more.
  7. Kelce going to take home a ring, book it.
  8. Maybe not exactly what is being asked for with this thread but, with the Niners loss, we will officially be playing on the road against whoever the SB champions end up being. Any possibility we get the opener for a 2nd straight year?
  9. Chiefs squandered some opportunities to take control early. Could very easily come back to haunt them.
  10. Chiefs getting way too cute and it's almost cost them.
  11. Wow, that was dumb. Just let someone else down it.
  12. Niners fans: Where was this ref in our game?
  13. If I'm Sirianni I'm not running Hurts anymore. You've got this one in the bag and Hurts is already playing hurt. No need to risk further injury that could linger into the SB.
  14. And to think, if they had overturned that 4th down "catch" by DeVonta Smith the 49ers could still be in this one.
  15. Arm was hit on a throw in the first quarter and hasn't been back since. Lost a fumble on the play.
  16. Hmmm, I feel like some of these penalties the Niners are being called for are things that happen on every play.
  17. If the Bengals make it to the Super Bowl I don't see how their o-line holds up against either of these defensive fronts.
  18. Doesn't look like it hit the wire. And even if it did, Eagles have no leg to stand on after they got that 4th down call.
  19. Geez, how does Hurts miss that throw? He wasn't even under pressure.
  20. When one of your best players gets hurt when he's not even on the field you know things are not trending in your direction.
  21. I remember catching parts of the first Eagles/Giants game back in week 11 on a side TV while watching the Jets/Bills game. It seemed like the Eagles were just moving and scoring on the Giants almost as if the Giants (a playoff team) were literally physically incapable of being able of competing with the Eagles in any way. Then, the Eagles did it again to them last weekend. They've only lost one game when Hurts played. As long as he stays healthy, as good as Hurts is, and with the talent around him, it almost seems like they are unbeatable.
  22. If it helps, here's a little reminder that might make us feel better about about Allen and this team's future. I'm not saying Allen is as good as Peyton Manning but Manning was drafted exactly 20 years before Allen (Manning: 1998 Allen: 2018). So, where was Peyton this time 20 years ago? He was coming off of this bludgeoning: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/200301040nyj.htm. That Jets team was good but not on the level of this year's Bengals IMO. Peyton threw 19 INTs that year (5 more than Allen this year) and Peyton still hadn't even won a playoff game yet. I think we are on pace for a better future with Allen than it may seem like right now. I'm hopeful.
  23. If any of the remaining teams aside from the 49ers end up winning the Super Bowl we could get the primetime opener again. Though they probably won't put us in that game and I honestly don't see them putting us on Thanksgiving again either. I'm thinking our primetime games will be: SNF @Bengals TNF Jaguars (this one may be a reach, perhaps more likely to be at Eagles or Chargers) MNF Cowboys SNF @Chiefs MNF Dolphins
  24. Gotta be honest, and I'm sure I'll get down vote/eyeroll, etc emojis for this but I feel like it needs to be said. If yesterday's result tells me anything it's that I am not as certain we definitely would have made the Superbowl if we had held off the Chiefs in those 13 seconds and won. Not a knock on Allen or the rest of the team, but Burrow is good. Really good.
  25. I guess the goodwill that Cincinnati built up amongst our fan base over the years (ending the drought, helping us through the Hamlin situation) was destroyed last night? I honestly wouldn't mind seeing them win it all. Then again, if they win next week, then lose the SB, they will join us and Minnesota in the 0-4 club.
