  1. This definitely helps. My only other question would be are there any areas of Buffalo that should be avoided?
  2. Just wanted to know if anyone could give me information if I were to visit from out of town for a game. I've been a Bills fan all my life and never been to a game (shameful, I know) and I want to finally go to one this year. Do you have any informaiton on hotels, tailgating, or just simply what to do in the area for the weekend? It doens't sound like there's much to do but I figure you all would know best. Thanks for any information you can provide.
  3. Sometimes I almost feel like we are in a better position right now than teams like the Chargers or Eagles. They are teams that have no where to go but down (not saying they are going to be bad any time soon) after having productive decades and don't even have the convenience of saying they won a championship. That was the position we were in 10 years ago but now we are on the opposite end. We have no where to go but up. When we finally actually start to go up is a different question but I hope the next time we get a championship caliber team we actually win a championship this time around.
  4. The day the Red Sox finally won the world series was a dark day. I enjoyed holding 1918 over their heads. What made it worse was that the Yankees had them (that's right, I actually rooted for the Yankees to beat them) and blew the 3-0 series lead. That was painful to watch
  5. I guess McKelvin's lawn would have been vandalized even if he hadn't fumbled last year.
  6. Here's a blantantly obvious question that I haven't seen anyone ask yet: shouldn't Cushing have been disqualified from the re-vote? I have never seen someone get something taken away from them for cheating and get a second chance at getting it back.
  7. The worst part is how agonizingly close we've come at times: 2005/week 8: Had a 16-7 lead midway through the 4th quarter before the Pats score, recover a fumble, and score again and win 2006/week 1: Up 17-7 with the ball in the redzone and a chance to extend the lead to 20-7 or maybe even 24-7 we are stopped after going for it on 4th and 1, the Pats come back and win by a freaking safety Last year in week 1: Well, this one was recent enough, I'm sure we all painfully remember what happened there.
  8. I never want to doubt the Patriots but I think their age is starting to show (see playoff game against the Ravens). Also, while still great, I think Tom Brady has proven to stuggle under pressure, something he hasn't had to face a lot in his career until recently. Not saying we will beat them but I believe they are more beatable now then they have been in the last 10 years. As for the Jets, I'm still not convinced about them. Their D will probably be good but remember, our D had a field day against Sanchez in the first meeting last year.
  9. Any idea why the Jets cut him? And any idea why we never made any mention about going after him before the Cardinals agreed to terms with him? We keep worrying about our o-line and yet a solid veteran was basically sitting out there for the taking. I don't remember him under-performing but maybe he did and I just completely missed it. Are we worried about how much we'd have to pay him? He was upset about getting cut by the Jets so I would think he'd jump at the opportunity to play them twice a year even if it's with us.
  10. I like the optimism, although I think if you are going to be this optimistic you have to give us a win against the Pats. If we really are a surprise team I think we'll be especially motivated to play them and they really aren't the team they once were.
  11. I'm glad to see that there are fans who realize the value of picking up a potential high quality back over feeling like you have to draft for "need". We have 8 picks left I believe. I'm thinking we will have chances to improve our O-line so why not pick up a back who has the potential to pay dividends for years to come.
  12. I'm sure I won't get much support on this but I say if Colt McCoy is still there for our next pick we swipe him. He's a steal in the second round.
  13. If we are by some chance in the playoff run late in the season we might get a Sunday night flex game. If we're not then we basically never deserved a primetime game.
  14. Exactly! Campbell has had the talent around him. Moss's numbers were better even when Brunell was QB. Campbell is not an upgrade from anyone we have so we might as well stick with the mediocrity that at least knows our offense until we decide to go after a younger QB.
  15. With the Dolphins and Jets picking up quality receivers basically for steals this week it's a good thing their QBs are still question marks and our pass D at least appears to be stable.
  16. This list has Randy Moss way down at number 21 (only one spot above Devin Aromashodu and only 2 spots above Mushin Muhammad) when he is still easily top 10. I'm thinking the way this list was put together is a little suspect.
  17. I don't know, the competition in the NFC East is pretty tough too (probably tougher as a whole than the AFC East). They usually send at least 2 teams to the post season, the Eagles still had Mcnabb when Shanny signed with the Skins and I really believe that the Giants D will get better thus making them a threat again. Also, I'm still not convinced about the Jets nor Dolphins. If Sanchez keeps throwing picks like he did last year their new additions won't matter.
  18. As ridiculous as this sounds, I still think it would probably be a better idea than any trade for Campbell
  19. Why do we come down on the Bills so much but then get all offended when someone else does it too?
  20. We have plenty of desparate needs. And it's sounding like there's a better chance that the OTs will be taken before our pick. If our D can't stop the run this year, it's not going to matter who our tackles are cause they'll never see the field.
  21. I really believe Mcclain would be a great first round pick for us if we do move to the 3-4 (inspite of his hamstring injury). Him and Poz as middle linebackers (I guess he would be battling with Mitchel for that spot) would work for the new system and George Edwards can bring him along. Nose tackle might be a question. I heard some news that we might go after Jason Ferguson if available but his age would be a factor.
  22. While I do agree that the superbowl has become a commercial spectacle I don't get where you are coming from saying the game itself was boring. Quite frankly, I thought it was a little more exciting of a game than the Giants-Patriots game minus the exciting finish and the thrill of watching the Pats get beaten. Aside from the whole exciting, last play of the game finish I'm really not sure what else you can ask for out of a superbowl.
  23. Basically, drafting a QB first is always a risk. You'll have your Peyton Mannings, Drew Brees', Matt Ryans but then you'll have your Ryan Leafs, JP Losmans, and Akili Smiths. It's all hit or miss and there's no gaurantee either way no matter how much you want to analyze it. That said, I personally would like Colt Mccoy as I like his arm and pocket presence. For all I know he could turn out to be a wash but I wouldn't mind us going after him if it weren't for the fact that he's played in Texas all his life and I don't know that he would be able to handle Buffalo's December (and God willing January) weather.
  24. I liked the one with Megan Fox in the bathtub basically because it had Megan Fox in a bathtub. As far as the funniest, I along with everyone I was watching with, errupted in laughter at the Doritos commercial where the kid smacks the guy in the face and tells him "keep your hands off my mama, keep your hands off my doritos".
  25. Wow, not at all worth the drama. I don't think he's that bad of an option right now. He did throw a rather crappy pass at the end of the Steelers-Dolphins game near the goal line when they were trying to come back but that doesn't change the fact that he actually did pretty well with a terrible offense in KC.
