  1. I think we were right to try the onside kick however I do agree that we should have gone for it on 4th and one at the end of the half. Sometimes, you just need to take chances to win and I thought that was a Jauron move to kick it instead of going for it.
  2. Couldn't have said it better myself!!
  3. Aside from getting away with the block in the back on the kick return what other "breaks" did the Bills get in this game? I know the fumble recovery was a question mark because Moss dove on it but he never possessed it and we rightfully fought it away. I just can't think of anything else.
  4. See I thought the secondary was fine aside from some mistakes made by Whitner. It was the front 7 that couldn't generate anything resembling a pass rush. No secondary can contain Moss, Welker, and Hernandez when Brady can just sit back there all day. The touchdown pass to Moss was just a perfect pass that only a QB like Brady is going to make (again, especially when he has no one in his face.)
  5. This commercial is hilarious. As for the Bills, no, they don't make me sad. Just frustrated. However, I also find myself getting a lot of sympathy when I mention I'm a Bills fan.
  6. As tired as I am of the Jets and their mouths, I just don't want to see the Pats start out 2-0 against two playoff teams. It would give them way too much momentem going into the rest of the season. So I hope the Jets win but unfortunately I think the Pats will win.
  7. Every time the camera panned to Gailey on the sidelines he seemed to be giving that same blank emotionless stare that DJ always gave. Not a good sign.
  8. Correction, they did win at New England in September 2008 (the big wildcat game where they destroyed the Pats). But that has been their only September road win since 2003. I like our chances in this one. It wouldn't even come as a shock to me if we ended up as the favorite. The only time the Dolphins beat us in a "road game" in the past 6 years was when they played us in Toronto.
  9. I'm not buying into anyone until we start winning and becoming a playoff contender. In as much as it is too soon to critisize Gailey it's also too soon to crown him.
  10. I just love watching SEC teams lose to lower end schools. Even though Ole Miss isn't suppose to be any good this year it's always funny to see the arrogance of the SEC take a hit.
  11. I wasn't able to see the game but from the highlights I thought Brohm did ok. The interception he threw was 100% on Foschi. It was a perfectly thrown ball that he just flat out didn't handle.
  12. I agree about Chambers. I know we are thin at the line but I've never been impressed with him. But Levi Brown? We just drafted him. Give him some time to develop.
  13. Thank you for your posts. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are telling the truth about being a former player. So thanks for taking time to post and comment with the fans.
  14. Leftwich isn't great, but he certainly isn't horrible. Cassell is horrible. I bet he wouldn't even be in the league anymore if it weren't for the recognition he got the season Brady went down and he only did well that year because he was handed a world of talent.
  15. I haven't seen anything posted about this but on the AFC East segment with Jon Gruden and Jaws they were asked 5 wins, over or under for Buffalo and both said under. I really like it this way, low expectations. It would make it that much sweeter if we surprised everyone and had a good season.
  16. There's a lot to this list I don't like. Jason Campbell and Matt Cassell ahead of Byron Leftwich? Don't think so. Cassell should be last on this list. Edwards may not be too much higher than Clayton has him slated, but I don't see him being way down at 31. For the time being at least, he should certainly be ahead of Kevin Kolb who still hasn't played enough to give a thumbs up or down.
  17. I thought I was the only person in the world who didn't have a problem with our new uniforms.
  18. It would be so great if we won the division this year. Everyone is talking about a three team race amongst the Pats, Fins, and Jets so it would be so funny if we surprised everyone. I said not a chance, but that's only because there's no option stating "barely miss out" or "close, but no"
  19. I'm not a fan of expanding the playoffs because I think it would cheapen what it means to win in the regular season but adding the extra bye week sounds like a good idea and so does playing games on another day during the week (like Friday or Tuesday). However, I really don't think this stuff needs to be done because it seems like the NFL is not in as bad of a financial position as we might believe.
  20. There's an insider link on espn.com that reads "FBO: How Lee Evans trumps Miles Austin". Does anyone here have insider? I would love to know what this article says.
  21. The first thing that came to mind when they punted on that 4th and inches was Jauron. A preseason game, already getting whooped and we still have not guts. Sounds just like the last few years. Also, I don't know if anyone noticed on the previous play but I rewound it slowed and it down at the end of the play and it looked like Johnson got the first down on the 3rd down play. When he got tackled, he was pulled back and should have gotten forward progress beyond the first down marker but they didn't give it to him.
  22. Ha, watching haynesworth get air over Steve Johnson made this game worth it.
  23. Did Joe Theisman just say "well we have another interception" on a punt return?
  24. I'm from MD and I meet with a BB group at a place called Nottingham's. It is in Columbia in a set of University of Phoenix buildings which are on a sidestreet off Snowden River Parkway. That's probably the closest BB place to Ellicot City. Let me know if you need directions. As for tomorrow night's game, I believe a lot of the backers are going to the game so you may not find much of a crowd if any at all at the bar.
  25. If Trent starts, weeks 4-5 will tell us whether or not he has improved (especially if Revis is playing by week 4 when we have the Jets). Edwards looked good in weeks 1 and 2 last year and week 1 was nationally televised. But then the trentativeness kicked in and he sputtered from then on. He also looked good in the first few weeks of 08 but then after the concussion he got sloppy. I hope he starts and I would like to think that his struggles were based on a poorly run offense that the new regime will fix but time will tell.
