  1. The few Steelers fans at our office have been wearing their gear since beating the Ravens last week and they wore their gear a couple years ago after beating Baltimore in the championship game. As heart breaking as those losses were for Ravens fans they were good sports and let them wear the gear. I hope this guy finds another car sales job and runs his old dealership out of business.
  2. The Packers had decades of futility too. In the twenty some years between the Lombardi/Starr years and the Holmgrem/Favre years they went to the playoffs maybe twice.
  3. Actually, the defense was crapping the bed in the second half (goal line stance aside). I really believe that if Ben didn't convert those first downs to salt the game away that Sanchez would have lead the Jets down the field and won the game at the end. Ben did good enough yesterday but I will agree that Mendenhall helped out a lot.
  4. Cutler got lucky that Seattle's secondary dropped so many INTs on Sunday. Tramon Williams and Charles Woodson won't be dropping those balls so good luck.
  5. Perry Fewell was able to. With the Pats having almost that same talent (less Hernandez and Gronkowski but plus Moss) we played them towards the end of the season the year before and only lost by a touchdown.
  6. The Jets and Pats make the Dolphins seem a lot more likeable. Never thought I'd hear myself say that.
  7. The Dolphins of the 70s owned us but we were eventually able to beat them. Not counting week 16 we've come close in recent games so I say yes, we will finally end the losing streak and I believe it will happen sooner than people may think. Brady isn't going to be great forever.
  8. It's a great break from the usual post game cliches: We brought our A game tonight; We just had their number; This is our year; etc.
  9. I've just heard people say that they think it is old but I went to my first Bills game (from out of town) a few months ago and I thought it was fine. I also think it's in a great area in the suburbs instead of downtown in the congestion of a city like other stadiums are.
  10. Green, Nelson, Johnson, Evans, and Parrish. I would like having that set of wide receivers. Perhaps the only offensive player I'd be happy with us drafting at #3.
  11. So can we now put the Cam Newton as our first pick talks to rest?
  12. In the meantime, Jabari Greer and Anthony Hargrove are at home polishing the rings they won last year.
  13. A lot of those teams that won road games had better records than the home team they played, such as this year. This season every road team basically had a better record than the team they played (the only exception was Green Bay and Philly had the same record but since Green Bay beat them during the regular season they technically had the better record). Seems like since the re-alignment there have been a lot of seasons with really strong and really weak divisions in the same conference.
  14. Thank you, one amazing run after an otherwise very quiet season isn't going to make me miss him
  15. AFC: Indy over NYJ Balt over KC Indy over Pitt NE over Balt NE over Indy NFC: NO over Sea Phil over GB Atl over NO Phil over Chi Phil over Atl Superbowl: NE over Phil
  16. Good, I'm glad we don't have to go up against a Harbaugh coached team twice a year. I think he's going to lead the Niners to some big years especially in a soft division.
  17. I must disagree, I would not want Harbaugh coaching another team in our division. He hasn't been an NFL coach yet but I just think he could come in and turn a team around even better than his brother has done in Baltimore. I would have welcomed him with open arms if he would have been interested in coming to the NFL when the Bills were looking for a new coach last year. As for the classlessness, I agree, Sporano came in, turned them from a 1-15 team to a division champ and they go and do this to him. It ain't right.
  18. Yeah, a defense that couldn't stop the run nor get to the QB had nothing to do with those losses.
  19. I'm still not convinced that Luck will definitely be taken first. There are two teams ahead of us who drafted QBs last year. After everything Denver gave up on Tebow I don't think they will turn around the next year and draft another first round QB and while Clausen didn't look too good his first year the Panthers may try to give him another year or two before giving up on him. So, if we want him, we may not have to give up the world to get him.
  20. I know you said etc, but London Fletcher's name needed to be added to this as one of the notable ones that left.
  21. While it would have been nice to see Stevie in the pro bowl I'm just not sure who, of the AFC receivers that made it, should be left off. I really believe Dwayne Bowe and Brandon Lloyd need to be in the pro bowl. Both of them made mediocre QBs look like stars this year. It's hard to keep Andre Johnson out. The only one he might have an argument against is Reggie Wayne, but I think even he belongs.
  22. I think the NFL needs to handle the season and playoffs the same way the College basketball should be handling the NCAA tournament: It's all fine the way it is, if it aint broke don't fix it.
  23. Attempting to throw the ball is not the same thing as actually throwing it. It shouldn't matter if your arm is going forward, if you don't release it, it should still be considered you having possession of the ball and thus if you lose it at any point it should be considered a fumble.
  24. I don't know about pulling all our starters, but this might be the perfect time to start Brohm. I'm a Fitz fan however I wouldn't mind seeing what Brohm can do in our last game keeping in mind that Fitz will be the starter going into next season.
