[closed]If We Can Get Pryor DO IT!!! NO QUESTION!
Talley56 replied to EldaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed, not to mention the fact that I don't see Pryor being any better than Troy Smith. -
Unfortunately I was not around for the OJ years but I always felt like he was better just from what I've learned about him. I don't know how to compare the electric company of OJ's years to the o-line Thurman had but OJ certainly did not have the passing game around him that Thurman did. And of course if they played 16 games in 1973 OJ would hold the single season rushing record instead of Eric Dickerson. What a shame he turned out to be such a monster as a person.

If you get exited over a first down or completed pass in the first quarter you might be a Bills fan

Not sure what excuses I was making and I certainly wasn't defending our organization's decade of ineptitude of the past 10 years. Just taking a shot at the guy who put us down that is all. BTW, the Seahawks have had some good teams in recent seasons but playing in the worst division of the past 10 years certainly helped them get to the playoffs all of those times.

He must be bitter about the time we beat him. Oh wait, he was never good enough to be a starter so we never got a chance to beat him. So he's bitter about the times we whooped his brother: 2004: Buffalo 38 Seatle 9 2008: Buffalo 34 Seattle 10

What positives do you see coming into this season ?
Talley56 replied to Scrappy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Utilizing Roscoe Parrish. I liked how we were finally able to work him into our offense last year before he went on IR. I'd like to see what he can do for a full season under Gailey. -
Christian Ponder's girlfriend ......
Talley56 replied to truth on hold's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Same could probably be said for the vast majority of attractive models out there. -
Agreed, I never understood it either. There'd be no Buffalo Bills if it weren't for him.

I'm kind of surprised we are ranked below the Bengals in both polls seeing as we had just as many wins as them and beat them at their place and I think the fans should have voted us ahead of Arizona and Denver but ultimately I don't think that's showing a lot of disrespect towards us. Until we start winning more, this is about where we deserve to be. If anything I think they have the Lions a little too high. They looked better last year but until they start winning some more games and becoming a true playoff contender they shouldn't be ranked that far ahead of us.

And the two picks against the Pats at the end of the week three game when we had two chances to tie the game.

Question to fill the time with
Talley56 replied to VirginiaMike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And because of all of the success Bill Polian would have resolved his differences with Jeff Littmann thus keeping him around and we would have continued our dynasty into the next decade. -
Just 2 seasons ago, but it feels like a lifetime.

Crazy to think that game was such a season-changing game that year. Before the game: Buffalo 5-1, Miami 2-4.... from that game forward: Buffalo 2-8, Miami 9-1 and division champs -
I'm so sick of people questioning why we didn't draft a QB. There are only two QBs in this draft who I have any confidence in and they were taken before our second pick came up (our first pick needed to be Dareus). The fact that Mallet was passed up by other teams that needed a starter and was drafted by a team that only needed a backup should say volumes about his potential or lack there of. Fitzpatrick is fine for now.

Nickname Thread for Dareus...MD

The Big Ham from Birmingham? -
The Bills may not draft Gabbert but the comparisons between him and Trent are far more ridiculous than the comparisons between Miller and Maybin.
-
Unless he would have gone in on kickoffs and tackled Kevin Dyson I'm thinking the same exact thing.
-
I don't know, I'd say the Lions played better after drafting Ndomukong Suh than they did after picking Matthew Stafford.

Safe bet as to who will be playing the first Sunday night game: NFL schedule preview: Will Giants-Jets mark NFL's Sept. 11 tribute? Those are two of our 2011 opponents whom we won't be playing in week one if this comes true.

Peyton Hills VS Michael Vick
Talley56 replied to Frostbelt City's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought for sure Rodgers would win this. Hillis had a nice year but I'm surprised he won that. I hope he wins it all now since Vick was already on the cover once. -
If next year's first round pick was included in the trade but the draft gets canceled next year wouldn't we just get their first rounder in 2013? That would be pretty lame if we don't get their first round pick just because there's no draft next year.

Poll on whether Fitz is the right guy or not
Talley56 replied to The Cincinnati Kid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with the OP, I think he's the right guy for now. I don't know about long-term but I would like him for the next 2-4 years. And no I don't think we need a dominant defense, just an improved one. Our defense was abysmal last year and yet look at some of the games we almost won with him. I really think we need to give him a chance after a full off-season of working with Chan (not entirely sure how the lockout will effect this though). And the question I would pose is if he's not then who is? I personally like Gabbert but I could be dead wrong and he could turn out to be a bust. We probably won't be drafting him anyway. -
Schedule Release Date Still in April?
Talley56 replied to Jamie Nails's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wonder what kinds of games they will schedule for the first few weeks. If the lockout goes into October and, instead of canceling the season all together, they have to shave off the first couple of weeks they probably don't want too many important games to be voided out. -
It seems that the Whitner pick at #8 from five years ago still has people scared of picking DBs so high. I think it's pretty clear though that that particular pick was not a smart one from the get-go. Peterson, even as high as #3, is a much safer pick than Whitner was. I wouldn't mind taking him at #3 and picking D-lineman and linebackers in rounds 2/3.
