  1. I find it nice to have solitude with God during walks. I try to have solitude daily with God and the walks are something I have been trying to do here and there through out the summer. I would encourage anyone to give it a try.
  2. Thoughts on the final season so far?
  3. Execution on whatever we run. You just never know about schemes because they can change from pre-season to regular season (coaches may not want to show their hand during the pre-season). I just want to see us execute well on whatever we do run during the pre-season. It could be a confidence boost for them to do well heading into the regular season.
  4. No one gave us a chance before the 2009 opener and we won that one.....until the final 2 minutes
  5. What are yours? Basically do you like any movies that the rest of the world seems to hate or not like any movies that everyone seems to go nuts over. Two that come to mind for me are: Blaire Witch - This is a movie I really liked even though it has always been criticized. I just thought it was good and suspenseful if you use your imagination. Office Space - Even though everyone thinks this movie is hilarious I just couldn't get into it. I don't know, just didn't find it very funny at all.
  6. Jurassic Park 2 - It wasn't bad but compared to how great the original was it was a huge disappointment. I actually kind of liked #3 though.
  7. That would be awesome. Here's to hoping you are right. Unfortunately I was really convinced that we would be a playoff contender last year so I've kind of worn out my optimism.
  8. We beat the few teams we are at least a little bit better than (KC, Jacksonville, Cleveland). Maybe throw in an upset over Cincinnati or someone like that and in the end about 6-10.
  9. Yeah, I don't recall all these insults towards him before the Jets drafted him.
  10. Since I'm not in Buffalo or Western NY for that matter a home game would be a trip for me. I'm hoping to make it up to a game at the Ralph. Awaiting the sked.
  11. I believe it was called against us in a game vs the Bengals a couple of years back. Dalton lost the ball, we recovered, but it was ruled an incompletion.
  12. I still think Fitz is a sold backup QB. Can't say I feel the same about Edwards nor Losman: 1. Fitz 2. Losman 3. Edwards
  13. Are there any three players who could have prevented the 45 points NE put on us in the second half in week 4?
  14. While the Giants were the team we came closest to beating if I got to choose one SB to see us win I would have much rather beaten the Cowboys one of the times we played them. But since picking the Bills is against the rules I'll say I wish the Colts had beaten the Jets in SB III even though that means one of the all time great upsets in sports history never happens.
  15. "This is why the NHL needs to get their crap together."
  16. Could see the Browns maybe winning but I just don't see the Cardinals beating the Niners even given how badly SF got whopped last week. Maybe we'll get lucky and neither them, Jacksonville, nor KC will want Manti Te'o.
  17. 1. College rules overtime, with a twist - No kicking. You cannot kick field goals nor extra points. On 4th down you have to go for it and after all touchdowns you have to go for 2. 2. Onside kicks have to go 15 yards before the kicking team can touch the ball. These are way too easy to recover at 10 yards. 3. A pump fake is NOT A FORWARD PASS!! If the QB loses the ball after pump-faking it's a fumble (thus finally eliminating the horrible tuck rule).
  18. True, but, the way I see it, our chances of beating Indy, then Jacksonville, then St Louis in 2000 were just as unlikely (even if the Titans almost did it). Doesn't make the loss to the Titans any less painful.
  19. Back in August I had never seen an episode of Dexter. Three months later, I am completely caught up and ready for tonight's episode. Not sure why it took me 6 years to start watching but now I love it. Question for those of you who have been following the show, back when Rita died, did the viewing audience know the actress playing her was leaving? Or was that a complete shocker to everyone at the time? I avoided the cast list on IMDB and just about anything else that might have given things away and it caught me completely by surprise.
  20. The way I see it is, I'll remember this. Pull it out when need be. If we ever win a game where we get ridiculous calls in our favor, I'll just remind everyone of games like this and say a win's a win.
  21. The PI call on Gilmore late in the first half in the end zone was probably one of the worst calls I have ever seen in all my years of watching football. And yes I am speaking objectively when I say that. First of all, anyone who could have looked at that pass and considered it even remotely catchable should not be an NFL referee. Secondly, it was clear as day Lloyd flopped like a little wimp. That play alone should cost some officials their jobs. And no, that is not an exaggeration. All that said, we did make our mistakes and aside from a couple of nice stops our defense was run over yet again.
  22. Thank you, I was hoping someone would bring up this obvious piece of information. Infact, I'd like to change the whole this is a passing league mindset to this is a passing league if you have a top flight QB. We do not. Our strength is our running game and we have two very capable backs. So use them, and show this "passing league" that you can still win games on the ground. Chan needs to know this. Teams like the Texans and Ravens might have a little something to say about that.
  23. In honor of his special day I believe Fitz will not throw a single pic or incompletion today.
  24. Not from Buffalo and even I would no longer be a fan if they moved. I don't care if the players, coaches, front office, etc all stayed the same if they moved they'd be a different team. Light years different. I'd still be an NFL fan though. I just wouldn't have loyalties to anyone.
