Is it possible that the woman put $20 to pay for whatever drinks/food she ordered, but expected to get change when she came back to the table? Perhaps Lynch was planning to put the check on his credit card and put the cash in his pocket? She comes back to the table, the money is gone, she wants it back... maybe he thinks she's trying to stick him with the bill? I don't know... something is missing in this story. How you go from having drinks at McKinley Mall to arguing over $20 is beyond me. Perhaps there's a misunderstanding in here that escalated into a conflict too quickly.

I used to see Eric Moulds down on Chippewa and at nice restaurants on Elmwood and elsewhere downtown. At least he knew how to get out. Seriously, what are the Buffalo Bills doing hanging out at TGIF in the McKinley Mall?

While we're at it, let's make the endzones red again. Anyone notice that when we switched to field turf with no red end zones we stopped scoring touchdowns? Bring back the big red targets!

Pete Carroll ACCEPTS deal with Seattle

He's 33-31 as an NFL head coach. Being over .500, I think, makes him at least a good NFL coach. Dicky J, by comparison, is 60-82 for career, and 35-45 w/ Chicago, 24-33 w/ Buffalo. -
Lalime, especially before the big road trip.

Ah, I'm just reacting to the talk on the boards back in 06-07 when everyone was busy planning the Niagara Square championship rally all season... Great to watch the Sabres win and play well; but watching Buffalo sports my entire life has tempered my enthusiasm making me a lifetime skeptic until the last tick of the clock.

Vanek hasn't been the same since landing that 25 million dollar contract.

Let's not make plans for any parades yet. Did anyone else catch Miller sucker punching the Leafs guy to the ice? He got a 2 min minor for it, but he sent the message that he wasn't going to allow the opposition to mess around with him.

Is Schoebel retiring or is he just sick of losing?

Maybe he can become the next Fred Smerlas. Trade him to a contender so he can play in the SB and then we'll go on to the play in the next four! -
Yeah, but can you imagine Jacksonville fans putting up a billboard demanding anything from their front office? Unlikely, unless it was for more tarps to cover the upper deck. We're a passionate group, and Buffalonians are involved in their hometown teams live or die. It can't hurt to get more national press about that. This is also true. They can change the ad copy still, maybe they should.

Cowher the Cowher is Cowher for Cowher in Cowher's Cowher

JW - Sorry for biting on the post. My comment was about the terrible editing of the article, not about the old news contained within. By the way, have you heard that the Bills are moving to LA? -

Ugh. Imminent = about to happen. Eminent = famous or respected within a particular sphere As in, "Despite my clicking refresh on TBD every five minutes, the arrival of an eminent head coach is not imminent in Buffalo." -
This would make it to ESPN and he'd see the coverage. They'd for sure pick up the story and make it about the Fire Dick and Hire Bill back to back billboards. ESPN loves beleaguered fan base stories.

Well, if you said "Who would want to go to the prom with that girl" over the school loudspeaker, it might be clear to you why she isn't calling you for a date the week before the big night.
-
It might have something to do with him saying "Why would anybody want the Buffalo job?" on national television. Not saying that he doesn't want it now, and Jimbo changed his mind on Buffalo, too... but do you think Ralph, Buddy, and Brandon are going to go to him first after he says something like that?

Favorite Bill who you forgot was even a Bill at all?

And speaking of Gale Gilbert, his son will be on the sideline of the BCS national championship game tomorrow night for Texas, he's Texas' backup QB and starter for next year. -

I have his autograph on a Bills pennant from 91 or 92. He played in a charity basketball game against my little loop football coaches. My favorite forgotten Bill is probably Jay Riemersma or Sam Gash. -

Bill Cowher AND Brian Billick...
47Yards replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. -
Jimbo is a great booster and might be a crucial part of assembling a group of investors (HOF'ers and million/billionaires) to keep the team here. That's the only capacity I'd like to see him in; no coaching, and no running for political office either.

Word.

Yeah, he knew that he had to show that he could be a team player and not be a "cancer" in the locker room. Trent Edwards and Dick Jauron almost sent him over the edge, but he knew being good while in Buffalo would get him out of Buffalo. Someone better will take a bet on him next year and he'll probably have a few more playoff appearances before retiring. Maybe he'll even manage to get that SB ring. I don't expect him to be back, but he was interesting to watch in an otherwise forgettable season. He was fun during stoppages at the Ralph, too... dancing for the crowd, etc. It was nice knowin' ya, TO!
-
Yeah, I was at that game too. He did look impressive against Cornell, but that's not really saying much. FCS football isn't anything near BCS.
