Week 15: Dolphins at Bills on Saturday Night Football
RochesterLifer replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I believe this is referred to as "whistling past the graveyard". -
I am rooting hard for the Bengals, as we drive for home field advantage. Regarding the Fins, revenge is a dish best served cold, and the sushi will be delicious.

In the Era of Josh Allen, how about a little Jim Kelly love
RochesterLifer replied to wjag's topic in The Stadium Wall
JK was our original swashbuckling bad-@$$ QB. We are blessed and can celebrate having both. -

Oh yes, and our four year run of success certainly reflects these never-ending decision making failures. 🙄 -
Under McBeane, the Bills are a player friendly franchise
RochesterLifer replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well stated, Mr. Montoya. You nailed it. While there is much to enjoy about our current Bills, likable players and an exciting style, it is the care and integrity of the Bills brand that I like most. The organization, built and led by McBeane, makes me proud. If I may add to your title, I would say the Bills are a player friendly franchise, where the Bills can grow as players and men. I am truly enjoying this ride. -
9 min 94 yard drive on the road.
RochesterLifer replied to Riverboat Ritchie's topic in The Stadium Wall
That team was so offensively dominant, that every time they committed a penalty, my thought was, "Cool. more yards for Thurman's and Kelly's stats". Fun times....like now. -

I'm supposed to be working right now. Instead, I'm hanging out on The Wall because last night in general, and specifically that drive, were just too good. -
I’m kind of Over the Hines Experiment
RochesterLifer replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
For the OP, who is "kind of over the Hines experiment", The Athletic reminds us as football is about all eleven performing together: The Cook and Hines package returns with a vengeance ...offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey may have been keeping it in his back pocket for the Patriots game, as they used Cook and Hines on the field together a whopping 12 times throughout the game. While it doesn’t seem like a lot, that’s far more two-running back sets than the Bills had ever run previously. The Bills effectively used Hines in a similar way Brian Daboll used Isaiah McKenzie as a gadget receiver several years ago. And despite some plays that were duds, it was highly productive with some chunk plays. The Bills gained 78 yards on those 12 plays, for an average of 6.5 yards each time. Considering the Bills only averaged 4.6 yards per play on their other 60 plays, that Cook and Hines group gave them a major edge as it was sprinkled in throughout the game. -
The major difference is very simple - no interceptions. Last night's TD pass to Gabe Davis shows us that Josh hasn't lost his daring confidence. We couldn't ask for a better sign. We went through a couple of games where his gunslinging didn't go our way. It's not more complicated than that. It's all good. Go Bills.

NFL Week @10 - Vikings at Bills - 2nd half game thread
RochesterLifer replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Edmunds haters, feel free to acknowledge we’re missing Tremaine right now. -
😂 $5M or less?! And I thought Ralph Wilson was cheap!
-
Because, team. He is a core part of the Buffalo Bills, a centerpiece of their locker room brotherhood. The team relationship, the culture, matters.

To me, it's just another moment in the daily flow of a class organization. Take care of your people. Bring injured players back conservatively and put them in positions to succeed. Reading all the negative comments about the turf at MetLife stadium had me hoping Tre wouldn't play today.

Refs asking Mike Evans for Autograph
RochesterLifer replied to Donuts and Doritos's topic in The Stadium Wall
The ref could have children, nephews or nieces who are a fan. I don’t have a problem with this. To make this an issue is silly.- 62 replies

I had to move away for work. But, home will always be home. Side note: I live in Boston. Here, they have a term for us transplants, “NY State friendly” (notice, not NYC) - it makes me proud.

better Boston Bills Backers Bar- Harp or The Bleacher Bar?
RochesterLifer replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gotta be The Harp. 😊 See ‘ya there tomorrow. -
And now, we can be happy about everything today.

Yes. This team is deep and well coached. Except Josh, no single injury will slow us down.
