  1. After watching the Ravens-Lions game and recalling his performances against the Bills, I suggest his nickname should be "Panic Jackson."
  2. That’s B-more’s MVP right there. He sure likes to lay the ball on the ground.
  3. Agreeing with and echoing your thoughts, I found Joe Brady's comments on the game: “I think if teams want to play split safety and give us the opportunity to be able to run the ball, and if Josh shows that he can be efficient to take those underneath throws, at some point, they’re going to have to switch that up,” Brady said. “And then it opens up the deep throws. … I think Josh is doing an elite job right now of, if it’s not there, checking it down, finding the open (receiver), getting our guys RAC (run after catch) and be able to convert first downs.” Buffalo Bills OC explains lack of deep passes against Miami Dolphins (It's a free read) My belief is, at this point in his career, try whatever you want on defense. Josh will recognize it, adjust, and beat you. It's good times at One Bills Drive. More folks on Two Bills Drive would do well to enjoy it.
  4. We've actually seen this process for a couple of seasons now. Josh and the offense begin the season, well into October, playing with a self-imposed speed limit. As the Bills move into November, especially December, the offense shifts into 4th gear. Josh runs more often and aggressively and passes further downfield with success. This is why the Bills' December record is so good. I like the model and expect us to be nearly unstoppable (barring injury) down the home stretch. As has been said here many times, we need our defense to also be playoff-ready.
  5. 🤔 I just don’t know how he keeps his job.
  6. Exactly. Josh is developing the knowledge and skills that will allow him to own the offense well past his athletic prime. It is so fun to watch. BTW, Stranded in Boston, I lived there (Arlington) for five years. Boston is a super fun area. But, I just couldn't get comfortable with New Englanders and make it my home. However, I had a blast supporting the New England Free Jacks rugby team. I hope it is a more comfortable fit for you. LOL, here in Mississippi (born a country boy) works much better for me.
  7. Oh gosh K-9, I didn’t mean my comment in a challenging way at all. Apologies if it appeared unfriendly. A more athletic Micah? Wouldn’t that be a dream come true!
  8. Against the Jets, Josh reminded me of Dan Marino a couple of times. While Marino was famously immobile, he was also very good at shuffling to space while making great throws. A couple of times on Sunday, the famously mobile Josh simply moved to throwing space rather than actually scrambling. He continues to grow and take total control.
  9. I disagree. What I see is a great comparison of videos showing the importance of quality offensive line play. The first video shows the D-line winning with the stunt, leaving Davis nowhere to go. The second video shows our o-line picking up the stunt, giving Cook room to operate. Of course, from there, Cook worked serious magic, showing how dangerous he is. If he was the RB in the first video, he would have been stuffed, like Davis.
  10. He may be, and I hope you're right. However, it won't surprise me if he has difficult moments against the Dolphins. Neither will it upset me. Learning experiences are good. He's not Micah yet.
  11. Did you think this up all on your own?
  12. Oof! Facing a master strategist like that frightens me. 🫣
  13. Fair enough. I was thinking of this year. You are correct.
  14. I don’t recall anyone on this board saying “let Cook walk, don't pay him”. I do recall a lot of folks (including me) saying pay him at good value for both sides. That’s what the Bills did. But, if this is a new self-congratulating narrative you wish to spin, have at it.
  15. I really don’t know the Jets’ roster. Are these players of any consequence? Bonus points if you can phonetically spell the RB’s last name.
  16. Emphatically agree. Right now, the Bills are in their film rooms. - The defense is reliving and analyzing how they got shredded. All position groups played a role, and they are not happy right now. There will not be a letdown or complacency when they take the field against the Jets. - The offense is looking at their first half three-and-out lull, preparing an improved plan to avoid those momentum breakers. I expect a fired-up Bills team in the Meadowlands, determined to show they are better than the first 52 minutes of the Ravens game indicated. The Jets are about to have a bad day. Also, the ultimate look-at-me-post (LAMP) is, "I have a bad feeling about this game." This comes from the Karens of football fandom, wanting to show they care more.
  17. Nicely done, all good observations. I was especially excited to see Coleman and Palmer's 4th quarter performances. This was one of our biggest concerns coming into the season. While only one game, they are giving us cause for great optimism.
  18. You may be right. Let's let Bishop and Rapp have a few games to see how it plays out. It still is a focused part of McDermott's defensive strategy. We may see it redevelop as the season progresses.
  19. Honestly, I think this is one of those games where Trubisky mops up the fourth quarter. After the multiple coronaries I had Sunday night, I envision bourbon, popcorn, and relaxed smiles. J-E-T-S, sux, sux, sux.
  20. It was explained by analysis today. The Bills were disguising their defense and Bishop gave a two-deep look. He was supposed to come to the line of scrimmage, pre-snap. However, the Ravens quick-snapped, catching Bishop in his disguise position. The Ravens were smart and lucky. We are good at disguising our defenses. But, in this case, we got caught.
  21. And this one-play instance shows us why Josh is the MVP in this conversation. Lamar reminds me of Dominique Wilkins (showing my age, bigtime) in the old NBA days. He was a human highlight reel - but just didn't know how to win.
