12/19/21 Gameday Bills vs Panthers First Half Thread

Don’t tell Mom. -
I understand what you’re saying. But, you are mistaken with a failed analogy. I played rugby for (f***, I’m old) 30 years. With one official for 30 players on the field, rugby relies on player enforcement. That doesn’t work in the NFL. Seven referees and video review sees and calls everything. Diggs can’t rake the defender. It is a different reality. All that said, the rugger inside me wishes Diggs had stomped his sorry @$$.

Patriots post game lockerroom video
RochesterLifer replied to FilthyBeast's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't have a problem with this at all. If anything, it shows that the Pats are savoring the victory because they respect us. If the Bills need any extra emotion for 12/26, all they need do is look in the mirror and think about execution. -

Patriots at Bills: Game Week Thread (v2)
RochesterLifer replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thank you for the coffee-through-my-nose moment this morning. 😁 -
I have always been, through the TBD debate, an Edmunds supporter. With the way the year has gone, we are in a bit of a jam. While not insurmountable, the Bills have serious work to do over the final weeks. Defensively, especially after losing White, I think Edmunds is the guy who can, and will, lead us to dominance.

I don’t disagree with this. But, I will say that I really don’t give a crap if the announcers are shocked.

11/7/21 Bills @ Jaguars Postgame Thread
RochesterLifer replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am watching Josh's postgame interview. The two things that jump out to me: - He takes responsibility, total responsibility. I actually don't believe he deserves it for yesterday's performance, but good for him - standing with his team. - This guy is heartfelt. We never have to (not that we have) wonder how much he cares. We've got a good leader. On to New York. -
11/7/21 Gameday Bills @ Jaguars Pregame Thread
RochesterLifer replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
So, for him to play to your expectations, how many of his extended, spectacular plays are you willing to forgo, so that Josh may “stop taking boneheaded sacks?” -
The deal with Brown is that he is in his very early learning phase. Every game is a significant opportunity to grow and improve as we prepare for post season. Much different from, say, Morse.

Should we be thanking JJ Watt for not choosing Buffalo?
RochesterLifer replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall
Heck yeah. We don't need to sign players for what they were four years ago. Beane builds the team for today and tomorrow. Watt never fit that strategy. -
10/10/21 Gameday SNF Bills @ Chiefs Postgame Thread
RochesterLifer replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I saw this and wondered what was going through his head. My guess is that he was a bit disoriented about where he was on the field and where the defense was - he took a quick look around to figure it out. -
Are you implying you are more knowledgeable than half the posters on this board? Your posting track record doesn't support that theory.

Brown is big and bad with an attitude, and ready to become the NFL's only two-way force of destruction. NEVER underestimate Spencer Brown.

A few Thoughts about the Chiefs Game, in no particular order
RochesterLifer replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Actually (and this is not intended to argue), I think Josh is still throwing off his back foot at times, but pulling through the throwing motion with his upper body. I am wondering if that is key the adjustment he made. In younger days, I was a college pitcher and pay attention to (albeit different) throwing motions. The second half throw to Knox is where is was most apparent to me. Maybe (I have inadequate knowledge here) his problem was not throwing off his back foot, but not following though, allowing the ball to softly sail. I could easily be wrong on this. -
If this is your standard, who does?
