WGR and Dan Cave writer are reporting this even though Jill Kelly is saying this is untrue on her twitter account. Anything for a article. I am close to never reading WGR and Tim Graham ever again. Why would you not vet this story from Jim Kelly himself. Why give credibility to Bon Jovi or hurt the Kelly name. This story should have been held till Kelly spoke or confirmed!!!!

Stevie's cap money can be split to 4 mil this year and 6 mil next. I would think they wouldn't do this since the cap to cash allotment is higher than cap which would allow them to decide easier next year what to do with Williams.

You created a divide immediately from Marone who wanted people to work hardier to achieve more wins. Then you had a subpar season with groin injures, what were the Bills suppose to do. They traded for a new veteran and drafted a new #1 receiver. Well at least your going to a winning team and your home territory. Good luck, GO BILLS!!!!

You become championship teams on the line. Levitre was too expensive at 8 mil/yr for a guard that is not a probowler. I bring up a past player, Rueben Brown, that Levy/Butler drafted to get Bills better for mid to late 90's. Nix has learned past few years he cant get a Probowl lineman in rounds 4-7, Glenn pick proves Nix agrees with that now. Woods hasn't finished a whole year and is a freeagent next year. Buffalo has a top 5 running back in Spiller that needs holes to break free. Lastly Marrone was a O-lineman and coach, he understands you need top talent there. Cooper fits the Bills at LG and can play Center. This is a man that can A+ run block and B+ pass blocker. He will be a Probowler by his second year. That said Bills need QB for future, not to play now with Kolb and Jackson on team. They will get best QB available in rounds two or three. They will move up to 20-32 if top 3 QB falls to here.

Jauron received a 3 year 9mil extension which means Ralph paid that minus what he gets from Jacksonville. I stand corrected that there was 3 years at 7-9 before 2009 happenned and got fired. Jauron even had a Billboard up to get him fired, where is Chan's? Defensively we were much better pass wise under Jauron, always had runners in McGahee, Lynch, Jackson and now Spiller. The problem is QB and we still haven't solved that. Chan's offensive philosphy doesn't fit his talent, he is not really that great a OC. Nix is overrated too. Gets rid of Florence before he is sure his first and second year CB draft picks can play. Pass coverage is absolutely terrible!!! Spends all his money on defensive line and it isn't performing to the money. No QB drafted before 7th round in 3 years and gives a backup QB a Franchise contract, never has gotten a number two receiver but dishes one away in Evans. Missed on half his picks so far. I don't believe either coaches/GM's were good enough though I would have given Fewell a shot also, I don't think we would have regressed this much. I still believe Ralph has a opportunity here to win soon. Bring in Bill and Chris Polian and let them hire Gruden, Billick or someone of that stature. Trade for a QB that has had some success, ie.. Rivers, Romo and draft our future QB. Find some linebackers and a couple useable cornerbacks. Give Easley a shot.

Jauron/Levy had two 7-9 seasons and was in the middle of a 3rd when he got replaced by Fewell. Since then Gailey/Nix has led us to 4-12 then 6-10 and what looks no better than 7-9 this season. So we fire one coach/GM and three years later MIGHT get back to where we were. We paid Jauron the past three years with Gailey and now we want to do this again with Gailey! Nix finally gets he needs to draft a Franchise QB three years later. REALLY!!!! Make this real simple, at the end of the season Ralph Wilson needs to fire all admin and coaching staff, Overdorf, Brandon, Nix and Gailey, everyone who makes decsions. Next offer Bill Polian President and Chris Polian GM. Let them do what they do, don't forget they built us, Carolina's and then the Colts. All were a real mess or just starting. Bill loves Buffalo and Ralph needs to step back completely like he did with Donahue but trust a true and blue football man.

RW had resigned Jauron for 3 years 9mil just before he was fired. RW had to pay this while paying Gailey at the same time. I think Gailey is around 1.5 - 2 mil/year. That puts RW's HC costs around 5 mil/yr, that is mis-spent money but not cheap. RW usually hires inexperienced head coaches but good Coordinators up and coming as HC's. Problem is the GM's haven't drafted good enough players. Donahue was making 5mil/yr to be President/GM. That is where the problem started and he had really good credentials coming in. Ralph then promoted Brandon, mistake and then hired Marv as GM, mistake. Nix is a good GM, he had to basically start over except for a dozen players. He was on track till he fired Edwards and replaced with Wanndstat (linebackers coach already). He hasn't done that in almost 10 years and then he was HC/DC for Miami and was marginal. If Nix is given time I think he can complete this job. I don't think Gailey can because he just won't commit to the run and help his defense out. With a great DC he doesn't need to be involved on that side of the ball, There are solutions to fix this without starting over. Trade for a Top 15 QB, ie... Rivers, Bradford or Romo. Hire a proven DC as Assistant HC/DC and keep Gailey or hire new HC/DC like Philips, Gray, Billick and bring in a up and coming OC that likes the run. Can draft linebackers and CB's. If healthy Anderson and Williams will be fine, draft their replacement 2 years down the line when you will need to pay Darius and Spiller. Good Luck!!!

First off, noone can say Ralph hasn't spent the money, who on this defense is underpaid. These are estimates but Mario is at 16mil/yr, Anderson 8mil/yr, Kyle 7mil/yr, Darius 5mil/yr, Kelsay 6mil/yr. Maybe you could say Bryd but he will be due his money next year. Buffalo has handed out plenty of big contracts, the question is was the money spent on the proper players. Has Buffalo brought in the guys that fit the schemes and are the schemes relevant. Under Philips Buffalo had 3 top ten defenses with Washington/ Williams at anchor in a 3-4. Under Williams/Mularky/Gray we had two top 10 defenses with in the 4-3 with Sam Adams, Tim Anderson and Pat Williams. So under Jauron/Gailey/Edwards/Wandstat we have been sitting near the bottom with players like Tripplett, McCargo going to Darius/Williams. The real difference is linebackers. Going from guys like Cowart, Rogers, Perry, Northern to Fletcher, Takeo Spikes, Crowell to Polusny and ? Is it a wonder our defenses are getting worse. Say what you want but I would take Hansen, Wiley and Schobel over Kelsay (problem isn't Kelsay), Williams and Anderson any day of the week. Our DT's are fine and would standup to the best of any of our past team defensive tackles except Smerlas. There is only one Freddie!!!!!! There is only one Bruce!!!!! There is only one Talley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Honorable mentions to Bennett and Paup. This team needs better linebackers and better play out of the DE's. Also we need better DC, I would take Gray or Wade back as Head Coach/DC.

If Mario had more signing options wouldn't he have explored them. Payton Manning went to 5 teams, all 5 teams would have signed him to that contract if they knew he wanted them. A press release stating a team wants Mario to come see them doesn't mean they would give him $100 million dollars. Was the Buffalo Bills so appealing that you halt all visits and sign the first contract offered. If a player is a great player he wants to win and get the money. Did Buffalo really have that reputation and track record. Your statement has no merit, argue your points. My point is Mario had no true bidding war on him, he was hurt the past three years with marginal stats, he so far isn't living up to that reputation you said everyone thought he was great and that Buffalo way over spent for him. Remember MaGahee pulling the video stunt running and jumping months after surgery. Donahue bought the salesman and made the man a first pick then had to sit him for a year. This is even worse with Mario. Mario has been injured for past 3 years not completing a season (Remind anyone of Merriman?). First few years are where Mario showed huge upside but there was no indication this was to continue. Bills were so desperate because they missed on past drafts with Maybin, Moats, etc... They had Darius and Williams but no DE's since Shobel left them hanging. Nix got desperate, We get Mario swinging for a homerun. Nix now has two strikes, Mario and Mark. How did Nix fall for this? The answer is Buffalo didn't do their homework on Mario because they never believed they had a shot at him. When Mario agreed to come visit Buffalo everybody said they couldn't get him, they didn't believe they could get him. When past and present Bills players kept Mario in Buffalo, the seas parted and all Bufalo had to do was throw the money at him. The purest scam ever!!! Nix was desperate and Mario and his agent knew it. Mario also knew Houston didn't want him back either. There was no bidding going on for Mario, just physicals and site visits. The culture of the Bills was so bad they weren't able to protect themselves and found a partner that was willing to take their money. This is what happens to programs that can't draft good players and wait. The Bills have drafted bad for 13 plus years now. There are some good players but not enough so getting to 8-8 is tough let alone trying to make the playoffs. When Wilson keeps hiring very average GM's and coaches this is what you get. Jury is still out on Nix! Really Buffalo got lucky to get the 3rd pick over all two years ago. Injuries forced them there, Buffalo hasn't tanked it since 2002. They need a franchise qb or they will never get over 8-8 again. Buffalo needs to tank it or trade for a top 15 QB. I think we need to wait the season out on all coaches and players and see what we really have for 16 games. Once done we can analysis this properly. Either the pieces are there and we just need coaches and/or QB. Or we gut and trade the whole thing and start completely over. Doesn't matter if we cut certain players with big contracts because they will be replaced with cheap players for a few years. We need top 5 draft picks for 2-3 years to have a shot since the past 13 years haven't left use with much. Keep o-line, Spieler, Johnson, Darius, Kyle Williams and all 2 year or less players worth anything. Fire or trade everyone else. Jackson is worth something in a trade, Maybe he gets us a QB with a first and second pick given up. Could we get St Louises QB Bradford, maybe Rivers, what about Romo? Forget Vicks!!! The end result of all this is Buffalo signed a $100 million dollar man and we will live or die by him this year. He can be cut anytime, who cares either way since it already cost us the money. Not looking good right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Safety was the biggest position we picked up this year with this group. An extra linebacker, RB and punter for camp. This does tends to lean towards our players and us view our team as stacked with talent now and undrafted freeagents don't want to waste time coming here. This is a good thing!!!!
