No, it's not like that at all. Hospitals exist solely to treat the sick/injured. For a hospital CEO to say that is not only criminally negligent and idiotic, it's career suicide. By contrast, football is a sport that involves a high risk of injury. The fact that a guy said it is neither news nor even the slightest bit interesting. I happen to work in a hospital environment for the past 30 years in over 200 hospitals over 8 states. Hospitals don't exist to kill people but are the 3rd largest single personal loss in the country. It is a byproduct of what happens when you treat sick people. The NFL is entertainment that is extremely physical, the byproduct can be severe injury and even at times later in life early death. People representing either can't go around saying their place of employment leads to negative results for human beings. Those words from high level employees can be shown to represent that business. There are legal implications. Why did every sport station from Steven Smith to Mike and Mike report this event today? Why did Whaley immediately come out and say he used poor choice of words. The facts support both circumstances but employees must represent the company first, if they truly believe otherwise they should quit.

If we get little to no information on the Bills on the field then fans will stop paying attention. Hard enough following this team with 16 years of mediocrity. As it is now I bought the MLB package and will enjoy the Red Sox till October. The Bills need to compete for me with the best show in baseball. Started with getting Mario Williams, they were on the away. 9-7 just needing some offense. Whaley lost Marrone with that stupid contract with a opt out. He could have recovered keeping Swartz or promoting him and/o hiring a new offensive HC to compliment. Bills have no choices after giving Darius huge contract. They now either win over next 2 years or they will sell everyone off in trades for multiple picks over a 2-3 year period. They will basically follow the model the Sabres used to rebuild. Doubtful the Bills make it to the playoffs, always seem to shoot themselves in the foot, ie.. 1st pick this year has little shot at contributing.

I would not be giving Tyrod anything till he can throw consistently 275 plus yard games at 60% completion and win those games. He also needs to show he can come from behind. Look what happen with Fitz when he got the money. I would rather keep picking QB's than get stuck with Taylor who is 1 hit away from losing his mobility and becoming a marginal player. He is not a franchise QB! Besides who else beside Cleveland would sign him to that size of a contract? Wow, why do you watch this terrible team!

Tyrod is not worth 15-20 mil a season. Orton led us to a 9-7 record the year before. Tyrod's stats are misleading due to the fact he never was throwing for 300 yard games. First off Flutie was better than Tyrod, led us 2 years in a row to the playoffs. Secondly Tyrod doesn't have 31 teams interested him, his size is too risky and he isn't Russell Wilson. 3rd, he played only one year so far and didn't look the franchise qb part yet. I would let Tyrod be #1 in camp but would let any qb know the job can be won. Agent could find his QB out a job if Bills draft a qb and play him first because it makes more business sense. Stupid thing to say honestly!

Aggravated assault can be charged with intent and lesser injuries. The fact these men had to be stopped and pulled off this man on the ground shows intent to injure. The fact the man actually was injured more than bruises and cuts shows the depth of the beating. The intent initially was trying to rob a bottle of wine from these guys who have proof of ownership with a receipt. Just because it happened in a private club (bar), people want to label this a "bar fight". A bar fight is over a disagreement and the impairment leads to over-aggressiveness and a few punches or wrestling. It doesn't lead to an assault of 4 men beating 1 man after an attempt to take ones possessions. This will not be arguable, the intent to steal and injure happened, just the degree of the assault may slightly be in question because the assault was stopped in progress.

The off duty officers were in a private club late at night. I am sure they didn't want their own names dragged through the papers because of McCoy. Now they are needing to explain why they were out late to their employer. People go out all the time and hope they don't run into issues that would create explanations. McCoy made 16 million last year, him and his buddies didn't need someone else's bottle of wine. McCoy will have his say in court or will settle by paying off this man he beat 6 plus figures for what he did. He will still do 6 games once arrested, or if settled before will do 1-5 games for being involved and a video showing he was.

This was not a fight, 4 men pummeled 1 man before other 2 off duty policemen got involved.

McCoy committed aggravated assault by definition 1. Mario had 38 sacks past 3 years that averages to around 12.3 sacks per year. He played in more plays than any of those years and had 4 sack at 30 years old. Than you don't even acknowledge the defense was really ever on the right path that led to a successful 9-7 2014 campaign to build on. Rex has blame, game management, how he used players, etc.. but he didn't pick the players, Whaley did that.

Good companies don't change management philosophies on the fly that don't represent their product or talent unless it totally failed (which it didn't). If you just spent 250 mil over 3-6 years on your defensive line built as a 4-3, why would GM, ie.. management, not stay the course when it was successful. Two ways to do that, 1) Hire your DC to be HC or 2) Hire Offensive HC, maybe Roman, keep DC. Either of those choices would have had much better success than the path chosen. There was a 3rd choice being Pegula's first full year, once Marrone left, he could have fired everyone and built the system from scratch. This now shows us Pegula's are not sure how to run sports organizations based on the product being players and schemes do matter to which players you select and pay. This happened with the Sabres and now is happening with the Bills. The Sabres maybe heading in the right direct with a new plan, time will tell. The Bills are on year two's path of Sabres after firing Ruff. They will find the GM doesn't know how to hire coaches, sign proper players to fit coaching philosophies. Hence freeagents, long term mis-spent contracts happened and the Sabres found themselves at the bottom of the league. The Bills are worse off since their record is abysmal the past 16 years. It is not good to be mediocre, bad draft picks don't get you better, bad freeagent signings prolong the issue. Poor coaching changes with philosophy issues destroy teams! The locker room is very divided. Management starts with the owner and this owner continues to make the same mistakes but someday will realize this and make the hard changes. For us fans, we have too endure and do what is smart for your pocket book. You have choices, 1) go to games or Direct TV out of town because you love the Bills no matter what. 2) Send a message and not do that, listen to the radio or free broadcasts and hope for the best or 3) lastly stop following all together. I pick 2, money talks and if they are getting less than they tend to understand the business side. Brandon can't threaten the team to leave yet. If the Bills pocket book hurts a little than they have to listen to the fans if they want to be credible.

People need to speak with their tickets and not buying NFL package if your out of town. Tell Direct TV it is the Bills lack of playoff appearances as a team fan that is making it hard to shell out $250 to see them play. Word will get back to Pegula's. If Bills drop from 60k season tickets to 35K they will get the picture much quicker. It is not OK for Rex Ryan to come in here as HC/DC and take a top 4 defense and basically destroy what has been built. Pegula should tell Rex he needs to hire a top flight DC not named Ryan! Let Rex decide if he wants to stay! Mario is making to much but so is Darius, McCoy, Clay, K Williams, McKelvin, etc...

I understand the sentiment, Pegula initially really screwed up with Reiger. They are however on the right path, get a really good goaltender and this team is in the playoffs, 8th seed not hard to get too. One more good draft and this team is refreshed with another high 1st pick that might play right away. Eichel will be a beast once his body fills in. Reinhart, Ristolelin and O'Reilly are already the stars. Now the Bills are a different story, they can get a top 3 pick when they decide to tank. Just cut everyone and field a bad team if you know your going nowhere. On the right year that gets you 10 years with a franchise QB. BUT the Bills are not that bad! TT needs to find the middle of the field, maybe his height is too big a problem. If he can move and find the throwing lanes then step up and throw we have a shot. He can hit the side line play and throw deep! Bills need to use McCoy on play action and screens more, he has to have 2000 total yards to be a center piece. Need a real #2 WR. Defense has to be a top 10 type defense. All doable! Thought we could do that this year. I will see where this leads and make my NFL package decision around Labor Day next year, either that or I might be buying Panthers gear, LOL!
