  1. Bills have added QB McCarron, DE, DT, CB/safety, OLB/DE. McCarron is a starter at least this year but probably 2 years and maybe more if he does well. More than ever now I believe Bills are loading up to go for it this year. They have two good young QB's. If someone falls to them at pick 12 they may pull the trigger but they now are in the driver seat to pick best players available. They do still need a speed WR and middle linebacker now that Bradham resigned with Philly. I think if Evans is there they may take him. I do believe if Baker or Allen are there they will grab them at 12 and hope Evans gets to 22 or move up again and grab him. Bills are in a perfect position to keep all their picks.
  2. Trent Edwards never had the physical skills of Allen, not even close or size.
  3. Lawson could be traded but no way he is gone
  4. Is he a DE or outside LB in a 4-3. My guess Alexander is gone and he plays linebacker with Bradham soon outside. Lawson and Hughes still the DE's.
  5. I believe in this signing period your not allowed to actually try out a player. You agree to sign with risk. There was no reason for Buffalo to do this with a veteran without actually bringing them in and talking and working them out. Can't afford a mistake. DT the Bills knew. Everything opens up in 1.5 hrs. There very well might be action once the 12th pick becomes permanent. No matter what Buffalo will have a veteran QB playing in 2018 at least till proven different in camp.
  6. Which scares me Denver might take him at 5. They can sit him having signed Keenum. Question is do they need to pick a OL to protect Keenum. I would be Ok if Buffalo can get Cleveland's 4th pick and take him on draft day. I would not move till draft day, see what happens around you be flexible. Need to see who Cleveland picks with 1st pick. My bet it is Rosen or Baker. Giants will take RB, Indy who knows, OT or DE. Then Buffalo pounces!
  7. Just not measurables that he has. He can throw 90 yards in the air. He can throw long, medium and short passes, basically hit any pass needed. He is mobile, very athletic. Yes, he has accuracy issues, footwork needs work, he is known to be cocky (knows he is gifted) and a leader which Rosen is not. He will not start 1st year so you need a veteran to play this year, maybe next but if he makes it he will be a star! Allen finished his junior season with an unimpressive 16 touchdowns and six interceptions in 11 games, as well as five rushing touchdowns. Look this is not a great total but he also missed the last 2 games. Scoring 5 TD's running shows his athletic ability. He never has had great players around him. The more I read about this kid and see what he is made of makes me want Buffalo to find a way and draft this kid. I think he is the exception here. He also stayed at the school because he thought he owed it. If he came out after his sophomore year he would have been picked way ahead of Mahomes. Could have challenged to be a Top 5 pick.
  8. Just not measurables that he has. He can throw 90 yards in the air. He can throw long, medium and short passes, basically hit any pass needed. He is mobile, very athletic. 9. Reich coached Foles as OC. That is the difference. He knows Luck has 4 years left. If Indy likes one of these QB's a 3 way trade could happen. Foles has 1 year left cheap and Indy in 2019 can go with new QB and have 2 - 1st rounders. Indy is at least 2-3 years of rebuilding, why waste Luck and why get 2-3 more wins and damage draft status and NOT make the playoffs. Reich I am sure wants his style of players!
  10. Foles and drafting a QB 3rd. Buffalo's 12 pick and 1st next year, a 2nd and 3rd for Luck allows Indy to get Foles too. Saying this though means just as likely we get their 3rd pick if any of this gets discussed. I would rather not risk the picks but if it lands Luck, things get interesting. If Buffalo can get there QB and still have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd I am game, any more than that NO WAY! Not worried about next years picks with all that Free agent money available.
  11. EJ to Taylor Losman to Edwards to Fitz
  12. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2018/03/13/nfl-mock-draft-2018-bengals-bills-trade-first-round/418198002/
  13. Risk of the picks are even but we know Luck is a Franchise QB so the risk is the shoulder. Any QB can be hurt at anytime. If trade made there would be a clause for the shoulder. That is why you give 12th pick and a 1st next year based on Luck's health that pick drops down or gone. Luck's career is not over, he went on IR in November, they thought he might play but Indy was so bad they shut him down.
  14. Luck the next 4 years is making the same as Keenum, much rather have Luck! Only maybe 1-2 QB's I might want more and they are getting old. Luck is a GEM, just needs the right tools around him. McCoy and Luck become Jim and Thurman with maybe even more punch, just need to find a Reed. You could do 12 and 1st next year with a 2nd rounder this year. Worth it, he is only 29 which means 6-7 top years still there. Any rookie would take 2-3 years to be reliable, Luck always has been, that good!
  15. 80% of Luck is still better than 3/4 of the QB's starting today. He is smart and can control a possession type attack with McCoy.
  16. Luck could have played last year and owner is pissed he didn't cause he just signed him a extension. Luck will be healthy, they have not offered him to trade which would mean they are going QB at 3. My guess is if you pay the price he could be had but it would be costly. Moving to 12 would be appealing to Indy with the 3rd and 12 pick. If they like a QB this would offer a fresh start. I think there is a better chance this happens giving up 12, next years 1st, a 2nd and 3rd rounder than paying the same price to get 3rd pick from Indy. Buffalo needs a QB that can play now with McCoy maybe having 2 great years left.
  17. Luck has 4 years around 84 mil left.
  18. McCarron is 2-1 and a mid 90 grade as a QB starting in this league, 6TD to 2 INT. He is a upgrade at this point to Peterson who has a around 40 QB rating in 3-4 games played, 2TD and 5INT. If it doesn't break the bank sign McCarron, make it incentive laden. Draft a QB that falls to 12 (Allen, Baker, Jackson or Rudolph) and sign Moore as a fall back to teach these guys and also bail us out if needed. You can't have 3 guys with 2 and under years on the roster. McCarron has 4 years, 4 training camps, 3 starts and 11 games of experience. That is the guy I target to start 2018. If nothing else and he does well but still want to go to Rookie QB in 2019, he would be tradeable. Denver will not waste a their pick on a QB for the future signing Keenum 3 years guaranteed for $60.00. Jets and Miami may or may not now draft a guy, Cleveland definitely will, 1 of the Top 4 will slip through.
  19. No way Peterman's stats match McCarron's, sample size small for each but McCarron was realitively successful in his starts. McCarron PASSING: TOTAL 11 games 64.7 pass comp. 920 yards 6.9 avg/pass 93.6 QB rating 6 TD 2 INT Peterman PASSING: TOTAL 4 games 49.0 pass comp. 252 yards 5.1 avg/pass 38.4 QB rating 2 TD 5 INT This only tells us that there is a big difference in talent in 3-4 game period. Most of McCarron's yards came from 3 games started and a 2-1 record. We traded for Rob Johnson with less information. This is also more NFL information we have from any QB in the draft. Sign McCarron and let him compete with Peterman and anyone we draft. Let the best man win!
  20. Why does everyone think Beane is so calculating he makes all these great trades for picks, then gives half away to grab a QB who is not a consensus #1 and probably not starting this year for us. Do you think he wants to lose this year? We have 19 free agents with 8 picks now. We have only about 20mil left after pick maybe 25mil. This means under the scenario we make the trade with a 2nd and 5th and 6th pick. That means all other players are under $1 mil players, scrubs basically. Good luck winning. Bills have almost $40 mil on dead money. Maybe we moved to 12 to get best player available to win now still and it COULD be a QB of the future but more likely a DT, LB or WR or CB. This sounds more the truth though Jets may try to pick him 1st. The reality is we are at 12, Beane wouldn't have moved here to trade back down. He could move up but that would cost a lot and he may not have a choice but to stay. Those are the facts!!!!!!
  21. Or DT And that is why I think Beane moved up in the draft to take advantage of a player that slips but won't get to 21. If it doesn't happen they they get a shot at a top DT or CB and locks defense down. That would leave Evans for 22. So maybe we get a QB at 12 or our defense gets a huge injection of studs. Either way Bills are better off than selling off 22.
  22. The only way Bills get in the top 4 is one Cleveland picks RB. Now Giants don't need pick, now you have 5-6 teams, even Cleveland wanting their QB. Cleveland has the most to offer a 4th pick. So they give Giants 4th pick and 2nd pick, which they have 5 of them, and a 3rd. What makes this scenario any less possible. If your saying this because Bills have a need for QB, so does Cleveland. If your saying it because Bills moved to 12 and have 8 picks, Cleveland has more. We are all giving opinions but don't paint yourself in a corner to be upset. Things rarely work out as planned and nothing is guaranteed. I keep being told that I am ruining peoples plans by countering what your writing. Guess those people don't realize who's thread this is. I laid the thread out so Bills fans could think of what may happen on trade day and what happens if we have to stay at 12. Everyone else piled on and made this it is not a 12th pick, well damn it right now it is a 12th pick and you had better be ready to DEAL WITH THAT! People on Indy's boards want the Indy to pick a player that helps Indy now that Luck is back. They don't want to trade down. Their time is now. Not sure Indy's pick is available unless you give up both 1st's and both 2nd's or next years 1st. They will have 5-6 call from teams offering their picks higher than Bills. Even Cleveland can move up again easier. We have the 12th pick, right now that is were Bills are selecting.
  23. Sure glad you have spoken too Giants and Indy for the Bills and have this all worked out. Beane also thanks you for picking Rosen! Interesting you say it is a opinion for someone to say Bills will move to 2 and pick Rosen. That this will only cost Bills 12, 22, 65. If it is a opinion then you say I think Bills should. People on this board are thinking Bills did all this to move to the front of the draft and will definitely get 2 or 3rd pick and get Darnold or Rosen. This is far from a truth and very damaging to the Bills future if done because this is FOR the FANS. Beane will do what is best for the Bills, he can correct QB situation this week in Free Agency for 1-2 years. What QB we land depends on other teams more than "what the Bills" want. This Bills Wall is a frenzy of people thinking something is "owed to the Bills". I am 52 years old, been a fan at least 42 years, nothing magically comes to the Bills, takes allot of sweat and sometimes it just isn't in the cards. I will be happy if they get a QB at 12 or a great DT, DE, etc... I as a Bills fan will be happy Beane got us to a better spot to get a better player than what was available at 21, Glenn was not the Bills future under Beane. So if I seemed to be squashing your right, maybe your squashing Mine!
