Bills Sign Newhouse and Bodine
USABuffaloFan replied to NewEraBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Possible now though I am not thrilled of giving up 4-5 picks this year. Bills should find a way of keeping 22nd, 56 and 65. -
Bills get Eli, Cleveland gets McCarron and Giants get Tyrod.
-
Indy wanted a DE, offer them 12, 53, 2nd 3rd rounder (96?) and Lawson. Bills then still sitting OK with 6th, 22, 56 and 65. Bills land at 6th either Baker or Allen who slip and get Evans at 22. I could also see them getting Smith LB at 6 and going Jackson or Rudolph at 22. That leaves WR at 56 or 65 and O-lineman.

You will be more frustrated if Buffalo calls the Giants gives up 12, 22, next years 1st, 53 and 65. That would be the cost minimum because we are at 12. Cleveland will take one of the 2 QB's Buffalo is interested in leaving my guess Darnold (small hands are a killer). Where does that leave us, more than likely no middle linebacker worth anything, most likely McCarron or Peterman win the job this year anyway. We gave our 1st next year so losing would do nothing for us. We are not moving up in this draft anymore. Beane would be fired if his QB he picked doesn't start and win year 1. Don't tell me this fan base wouldn't turn on Beane if it became obvious that the 1st pick QB that Buffalo gave up everything for might be the 3rd best on the roster. Just not worth it! Stupid is as stupid does. So you want to follow what the Jets do in this draft, ONE UP them with the 12th pick, hmmmmm.
-
The Jets had pick 6 and gave up that 2 seconds that are higher than ours and next years second. The Giants Pick 2 now is worth way more than that and all Buffalo has is a 12th. So just to get to that 6th pick first Buffalo would have to give up their 12th and 53rd. So now they have 6th pick and can see of Giants want to play. We only have 1 2nd pick. So Buffalo would have to give up #6, 22, 56, 65 and next years 1st. No Thank you!

What ya'll are getting with AJ

Our OC, Daboll, is a Buffalo guy, he won't get caught up in the hype and I believe it was him that wanted a guy that has been around the NFL. McCarron is Tyrod 4 years ago with more conventional football skills and size. Thanks for the inside information, that is what I heard about McCarron but spread out over multiple sources. Buffalo fans are dying for a high 1st pick QB, Been awhile since we had a franchise guy. My bet is Buffalo uses picks were they are having landed this guy. After talking and being around him for a month they are going to figure out this IS their man. I can see grabbing a QB later 1st or top of 2nd round but position needs and McCarron's QB skills make the need MUCH less. -

Probably 5th but not sure if Denver would take him -
https://boltbeat.com/2018/01/21/should-los-angeles-chargers-part-ways-with-travis-benjamin/ Not sure he is on a upside, SD doesn't seem to want him http://www.nfl.com/player/jordynelson/1032/profile Another winner here, HUGE production, off last year though. Probably why he was cut. Good yards per catch. Not sure at age Bills would do more than 2 years. http://billswire.usatoday.com/2018/02/25/2018-nfl-draft-dante-pettis-scouting-report-bills/

At the request of general manager Doug Whaley, Graham also studied the routes of Miami Dolphins receiver Mike Wallace, who is one of the fastest receivers and best route runners in the NFL. “Just the transition, and the tenacity of his routes,” Graham said of his observations of Wallace on tape. “He runs them full speed, he’s got a lot of herky-jerky. He’s pressing vertical all the time. Last year, I don’t think I pressed vertical as well as I should have. I didn’t get that burst of speed coming out of breaks that I should have. This year, I feel like those are key points I need to improve on.”

Battle of the 5th round QB's, love it. Imagine Buffalo gets a starter and backup from 5th round picks and go to the playoffs and win Superbowl. Sorry getting carried away but I could see the story lines already from this. Gonna be interesting to see what the Bills do with the 12th pick. I still think they will get a WR in free agency. They liked Maclin last year and he is available. -

Makes more sense to me this way then giving away 4 draft picks. http://walterfootball.com/draft2018trade02.php Bills acquire: No. 2 overall (2,600 points) = 2,600 points Giants acquire: Nos. 12 (1,200 points), 22 (780 points), 56 (340 points), 65 (265) = 2,585 points
