Bills press conference @2:30-Nix confirmed as new GM
voodoo poonani replied to zdro22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree. This is a joke. All the talk about how they're taking it all seriously, and they hire a 70 year old to build for the future. Maybe Ralph didn't want to feel that old around the office. -
I'd love to see what the kid could do, but I'm not sure I'd want to risk it with this O-line and coaching staff. Why ruin him so soon? Let a savvy QB coach come in to instruct him, he may be starting next year.

yes back in January

Like I said before, I hope we lose out to increase our draft stock. People need to think big picture. Do you want Fewell? Do you want to keep Modrak? NO! Root against them and commence the house cleaning! Bring someone in who knows a thing or too about good players and let them draft the team.

State of the Bills live with Jim Kelly...
voodoo poonani replied to Heitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brady from Cali but played college ball in Michigan. Elway and Palmer are exceptions. How many cali QBs have failed when going to cold weather teams? -
Someone needs to show this to Maybin
voodoo poonani replied to High Mark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was so excited at the time because Michael Oher was still available, and we drafted Maybin. Instead of an undersized defensive end <cough> eric flowers <cough> we could have had our LT for the next 10 years. WTF!? -
Edwards, Flutie, Fitzpatrick, Bledsoe
voodoo poonani replied to Marshmallow's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hands down Doug Flutie! Flutie is the Bill's winningest QB since Jim Kelly. The community rallied around him, he got us to the playoffs, and then he was benched for... Rob Johnson. Then, after Rob stunk it up in the wild card game against the Titans, Flutie brought us back, and we would have won that game if not for the special teams debacle known as the "music city miracle". We rewarded all Flutie's efforts by giving him the boot so that Rob wouldn't feel threatened. What I wouldn't give to undue that mistake. -
I think it would be a waste of a fourth round pick. If Derek Anderson who completed only 2 passes in their win over Buffalo is better than Quinn, I'll take my chances having no quarterback at all. Put Moorman back there, he can decide to pass it, kick, or do a Flutie drop kick field goal.

Then we wouldn't have enough people left to rotate on the line.

Way to go, fire Bill Polian because of the F$*(&$% treasurer.
-
With our woefully depleted LB corps, what about switching to a 4-2-5 defense with Nic Harris the other SS, Poz and Draft in the middle, then the safeties would flood the gaps on run plays, and we can disguise our looks between 3-3-5, 4-3-4, and 4-2-5?

Could Edwards be the Franchise guy with new coaching?
voodoo poonani replied to PJBrown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it is more appropriate to say Jauron has never had many (any?) 300+ yard quarterbacks in his coaching career due to his Pop Warner offense that makes defensive players laugh. I think a Holmgren, Gruden, or Shanahan would do wonders for trent, but not very likely. Brian Schottenheimer, Pete Carmicheal? Possibly. -
Getting rid of Jauron using a Billboard is wrong
voodoo poonani replied to hamtenp's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I say let them put up whatever billboard they want, they paid for it! -
Could Fitz actually save DJ's job?
voodoo poonani replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is no way we go 10-6. We'll probably go 7-9 again and Jauron will be back again because the team is young. -
Prediction time for this week
voodoo poonani replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are you high? We'll allow over 200 yards rushing and lose. Jake isn't going to throw it more than 10 times. -
Fitzpatrick's Cannon
voodoo poonani replied to Cotton Fitzsimmons's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Funny, he's been criticized for years about having a weak arm, now he has a cannon? -
I like the quote on BB.com where TO says how different coordinators would use him, putting him in the slot, shifting at the line, bunch formations... The Bills couldn't be any more vanilla.

Tony Pike out of Cincinatti - a cold weather quarterback that can throw on the run (which he'll have to do a lot in Buffalo), hit receivers in stride, and also throw touch passes. I'd like to see him bulk up to 235lb (currently 225lb). Oh, and he knows how to win!

Bills to dump No Huddle Per PFT
voodoo poonani replied to MartyBall4Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why dump it now? If we keep it up, we can be 1-15 with a shot at the #1 draft pick. Then Wilson will HAVE to pony up the dough. -
The Colts. I'm a big fan of Bill Polian. And I really liked Tony Dungy. I felt he got a raw deal in Baltimore and Tampa Bay, and was happy to see him win a SB with Indy. Oh, and that Manning guy is pretty decent too I guess. Also, they seem to be the only team capable of running an efficient no-huddle in games.

News conference at 9 am tomorrow???
voodoo poonani replied to Catholic Guilt's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ralph will be up at 4 AM taking a leak for the 91st time that night. -
"Can real fans root against their team?"
voodoo poonani replied to Lori's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks. I didn't know one comment to TIm Graham would start an article, that would lead to a whole forum discussion. Usually, Mark Gaughan is the only one who responds to my questions/comments. -
"Can real fans root against their team?"
voodoo poonani replied to Lori's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm Joe in WIchita, KS. I am one of the people quoted by Tim Graham that led to that article. There are a few things I want to clear up. I am a Buffalo Bills fan. I have been all my life (I was born in WNY). That said, yes I want the current Bills team to lose all their remaining games. Why? Because that is the only way we will see change come about after the season. If we go 7-9 again, you can bet they'll be making all kinds of excuses at OBD to justify bringing everybody back to try again next year. Jauron has never had "it" against winning teams (I think his record is something like 2-21 against teams with winning records). The group this year doesn't appear to be even trying (I've watched all the games). Players have even been quoted as saying they've been relaxing their technique, or that they may have taken some plays off. That is completely unacceptable. No fiery coach would accept that kind of behavior from their players. What did Jauron say? "They played really hard." He's been saying that for over three years. It seems as though the team has gotten worse every year, not better. TO has been squandered, and I'm sure he'll just wade through the rest of the season hoping someone else takes a shot at him in FA. The offensive line is terrible, but that should be expected with the collective lack of experience they have. The linebacking corps is a joke, who ever thought Marcus Buggs could be a LB in the NFL should be immediately fired. The team is supposed to be built around the offensive and defensive side of the ball, not special teams. Which really worked out by the way because we have the most penalized special teams in the league. Because I love my team, YES LOVE MY TEAM! I want the status quo to change. I want actual LEADERSHIP brought in. I want someone who actually knows how to inspire players to be better than they are. I want ... apparently Bill Bellicheck.
