  1. It sucks for those who love to watch football regardless of who is playing, but if you're mainly a fan of your team I doubt it makes much difference. If the NFL really wants to get innovative my suggestion is to allow viewers to pick the game they want to watch at a particular time period rather than just assigning games to particular regions. Bills games are appointment tv for me. Otherwise, I really don't care all that much. The Bills-Eagles game is a good example. AZ didn't get that game so I only was able to watch the end of the game (as painful as that was). Before that I barely paid attention. Perhaps they don't want to hurt the Sunday Ticket or NFL Redzone, but I actually think overall ratings would be better.
  2. At this point in time this is the least enjoyable Bills' season ever. Just a clusterfluck of epic proportions.
  3. I said it after 13 seconds and I'll say it now, there are no guarantees from year to year and missed opportunities are killers because the next year the opportunity may not be there. Even with a banged up defense this team should make the playoffs. Two horrendous losses to the Jets and Pats are backbreakers because they cut the Bills' margin of error down to a sliver. Something is awry with the team, that seems apparent.
  4. Mt. Rushmore should be reserved for Super Bowl victories, or at the very least, Conference Championship victories. Anything else should just be a plaque in the park.
  5. I blame the curse. It's always the curse.
  6. Haven't most if not all of the collapses this season come after Milano, Jones and White were injured? It simply is difficult to overcome loss of 3 key guys like that, particularly Milano who ran the defense while on the field.
  7. Oh, in that case, the Bills aren't a top 3-5 front office either. This front office has put the Bills in an almost impossible salary cap position and are stuck with killer contracts with Diggs and Miller. A top 3-5 front office would have resulted in more than a single Conference Championship appearance in 6-7 years. After all, it is the front office that produced today's coaches and players that are mediocre this year.
  8. Really? The Bills a top 3-5 team in the league? At 6-6 and looking at what is likely a losing season? Top 3-5 teams don't lose 7 to games in a season. Top 3-5 teams don't lose to the Jets, Pats, and Broncos and barely (and I mean barely) beat the Giants. At this point the Bills are a top 12 team at best.
  9. I'll always root for the Bills, but I've given up hope they will ever win the Super Bowl, at least in my lifetime. A lot of Lucy yanking the ball away from Charlie Brown in the Bills' history, and the more emotionally invested you get with the team the more they eventually disappoint you. One Conference Championship appearance since the last Super Bowl appearance (that's 30 years folks). Simply shocking that the University of Arizona football team has had a much more successful season this year than the Bills. Nostradamus couldn't have predicted that. Nantz uttering the words "wide right" on Bass' miss was a bit of a gut punch as well.
  10. One of Josh's weakness is that he really doesn't read defenses all that well. It gets overlooked by his athletic play, but good DCs know it and it's a repeated problem.
  11. I said when Milano went down it was a devastating loss, and when you add White and the other injuries into the mix it's a miracle the defense isn't giving up 40 points every game.
  12. Yeah, as bad as this loss was, the losses to the Jets and the Pats are the games keeping the Bills out of the playoffs. They were inexcusable losses. With that said, I guess curses are curses for a reason, and the Bills certainly are cursed.
  13. You don't force anything, but if you get a couple of 20 yd plays a FG might win it. It was a cowardly move when OT is at best a crapshoot.
  14. Definition of insanity: Being a Bills fan.
  15. The football gods rectifying the refs' mistake!
  16. I give up. Sports isn't worth this crap.
  17. F*ck. What an atrocious non-call.
  18. I'll take "Things I Did Not Expect" for $1,000 Alex. The question is "What is the Bills' Defense is Carrying the Team this Year."
  19. Amazing what turnovers can do for you.
  20. Ok, let's make that the break that turns the season around. Get a TD and start the road to the Super Bowl.
  21. Some of us miss the old school 60s.
  22. Yeah, but he got stripped a second time and was only saved by a lucky bounce.
  23. Looking back at history, the McDermott era is starting to resemble the 2nd Lou Saban era and the Chuck Knox era. They both got the Bills respectable after being horrible, made the playoffs but didn't get to the Super Bowl and then after a few years the goodness faded away. The Bills are 5-5 in the easy part of their schedule. At the very worst they should have been 7-3 in these 10 games and more likely 8-2. Now, a 6 or 7 win season is likely.
  24. The first 5 have nothing to do with coaching. They are all on the players. I'm pretty sure Dorsey didn't call Josh's sucky throw at the end of the first half, or his missed handoff to Cook, or his other bad throws. Cook didn't fumble at Dorsey's direction, and Davis hasn't been coached not to catch a ball. As bad as the coaches may be (and it is a very mediocre staff), a huge part of the blame falls on the players, particularly on the offense, including Allen, who without a doubt has regressed.
