  1. The fans in attendance need to rise en masse and walk out at halftime. Anyone criticizing the fanbase and not the "product" being put on the field is delusional.
  2. We have no idea what talent Josh Allen has. A strong arm is nice but if it is inaccurate it is generally useless. He can move around a bit, but again, unless it translates into something it is meaningless. He may eventually prove to be a capable NFL QB, but you can't say he has NFL talent at this point.
  3. When they talked about honoring the process they left out the part where the process was creating the worst team in the NFL. Why can't the Bills hire good people?
  4. I don't care about salary cap issues, there is no excuse for putting together a team this bad. Harvey Johnson will be off the hook as having the worst team in Bills' history. Don't know how the DC still has a job come tomorrow morning.
  5. Peterman may very well suck, but there isn't a QB on the planet who would be consistently successful with this OL. Your offense starts with a decent OL, if you don't have that you're gonna suck no matter who is running the show. You don't need a bunch of All Pros up front, but a bunch of dog meat like the Bills have is a death sentence.
  6. Frankly I don't care who starts at QB, no one will be successful with the dog crap OL and dog crap receivers on the Bills. Tom Effing Brady would look like crap too. It does disturb me that McDermott praises Peterman as a "faith-based young man" as though Peterman's religious views have anything to do with him being an NFL QB. I understand the need to have good character guys on the team, but if a player's religion or lack thereof comes into play when selecting players or determining who starts, then we can look forward to years of suckitude from the Bills under McDermott and Beane. Hell, even an atheist is going to scream JESUS CHRIST when those opposing lineman are barreling down their throats after getting past the porous OL.
  7. You rarely build an OL with castoffs and backups from other teams. You get there from the front end of the draft. It probably doesn't matter if the Bills don't have a deep threat WR because the QB will never have the time to get it to him. Look for tons of 20 yards and under passing attempts and McCoy having to run against 7 in the box all the time.
  8. I really don't have a dog in this fight; I think whomever plays QB is going to have a difficult time because of the OL. I have to laugh though that people seemed pissed at Peterman because he's put up good numbers and hasn't fallen on his face. It's as though he is purposely not screwing up in an effort to deny Allen the job. Just seems a bit weird.
  9. Last time I checked, preseason prognostications don't factor into which teams make the playoffs. If I were forced to guess I think Benoit is likely more right than wrong, but that and $5.00 gets me a mediocre combo at McDonalds. I never understand why people get worked up by pundits' views, power rankings or the like. They actually may have an impact on who makes the NCAA football playoffs or NCAA basketball tourney, but in the NFL they are less important than where Millard Fillmore ate lunch when he resided in Buffalo. Either you win the games or you don't, everything else is simply background noise.
  10. Wallace walked on at Alabama after playing high school ball in Tucson, not exactly a hotbed of football talent (although Blake Martinez is from Tucson). Going from walk on to a starter on scholarship at Alabama shows the ability to learn and grow. My guess is he sticks, although I would also love for deBeer to stick as well.
  11. Silly me, I thought Mason Rudolph was a golfer from the 60's.
  12. Assuming he buys a ticket.
  13. He did have a 5 pick game, so he is at least at Peterman's level.
  14. Oh c'mon. He didn't have anything remotely resembling a big year. If you're going to puff your chest out and brag about being right about something, you need to concede where you've been wrong. Of course Tyrod and the offense missed him, because they missed having any quality receivers all year. They missed Woods and Goodwin too. They missed having a healthy Matthews all year, or a healthy Benjamin for the time they had him. Watkins remains someone whose perceived skills far outweigh the results he has shown on the field.
  15. Sorry if this has been posted already, but it is awesome.
  16. It is difficult to see that the Chargers' loss is the be all and end all since it was a blow out and it is hard to see how Taylor would have scored enough points, although the Bills' defense seems to just give up once it becomes clear the offense won't have enough gumption to score points. As for the Bengals/Ravens, a Bengals win is far more likely than losses from both the Titans and Chargers. Ravens did not look good at all against the Colts and the Bengals may actually want to send out Lewis with a win. Playoffs aren't likely, but if they do get in I kind of like the odds of making it to the second round given the opposition in the wild card games.
  17. Both the Jags and the Titans have schedules that look like they will both be 10-6. Ditto for Baltimore. A few weeks ago I thought 9-7 would get in, but not likely now. Tack on two losses to NE and playoffs missed no matter how the Bills do against the Fins and Colts.
  18. Unless God is a stud offensive lineman, or a gifted wide receiver, He ain't going to do Peterman much good on Sunday afternoons.
  19. Lesson to be learned: don't slip in your Peterman unless you're willing to live the consequences.
  20. Even though it is likely a futile act, when you still have a shot at the playoffs you have to go with the guy most likely to get you the win. That clearly isn't Peterman. It mostly likely will never be Peterman. I don't know what God he worships, but whomever He or She is, they certainly pulled a fast one on Nathan today.
  21. Henceforth whenever a rookie gets his first start and performs disastrously it will be known as pulling a Peterman.
  22. Of course, before he was hurt DeShaun Watson was doing just fine with receivers he never worked with before. Same with Dak Prescott the year before. And they didn't have multiple seasons in the NFL like Taylor has. I don't hate Taylor, but it is beyond obvious that he isn't a QB that leads a team to the playoffs. At best, he doesn't prevent them from making the playoffs (i.e., some other player or players are needed to take the Bills to the next level, we can't depend on Taylor to do it).
  23. 8-8 seems most realistic at this point. Schedule ahead is much harder than first 8, and the offense is truly awful. Like bottom 5 of the league awful.Maybe Benjamin will help a bit, but OL is mediocre at best, and Taylor simply isn't a quality QB.
  24. Taylor will never be more than an average QB, and the receivers are like a group of practice squad wannabees, but unless the Bills get a solid OL, rather than one that only is good against crappy defenses, the offense is never going to amount to much. Build a solid OL and the rest is so much easier.
  25. I guess it's gonna take a while to overcome Whaley's ineptitude and Ryan's buffoonery. I hope Beane and McDermott are up to the task.
