12/8/24 Game 14 GAMEDAY! Bills vs Rams post game Thread

It was too deep to be automatic and the risk of losing a TO too high. -

The one thing you can't do in that circumstance is allow the ball to fall into the zone. You try a runback, it was the only chance, even if it was a Dumb and Dumber kind of chance. -

I just don't have any confidence that McDermott will make good decisions when the game is on the line. Never should have accepted the penalty, never should have allowed the sneak from the 1. -

True, but Allen missed Hollins and Kincaid when they had their men beat deep. The entire offense, other than perhaps Cook, stunk up the joint today. -

Did you somehow misunderstand when I said winning the division will mean nothing in the playoffs. It wasn't an endorsement of this year's team. -

They lead the division because the division is almost certainly the weakest in the NFL. They'll win the division at 9-7 or maybe even 10-6, but if 5 or 6 of the wins are against the East it means almost nothing in the playoffs. -

It's clear the receiving crew is mediocre at the very best. Coleman has promise but he certainly isn't a #1 receiver at this point. The rest of them are useless. -

Except they wouldn't have had a timeout to use on offense. -

Combine a woeful collection of receivers and Allen's inability to hit the long ball (he overthrew Hollins and underthrew Kincaid) and you have a shitshow of a game. Good thing the Bills play in what is likely the worst division in the NFL. -
I think it's hilarious. The only good thing about the Chiefs winning is that it pisses of the MAGAts.
-
It's mocking the MAGAts who were whining about Taylor Swift and Kelce and suggesting the Chiefs were going to win because of some conspiracy between the NFL and Biden.
-
And the Bills find some way to goof up at the end. Whether it's not throwing to Diggs over the middle, or playing a defense that gave the Chiefs the middle of the field field when they had two timeouts left, the Bills give the Chiefs the opportunity to bring their best. I guess you can say I'm still bitter.

Am I the only one not planning on watching Chiefs/Ravens??
IronyAbounds replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not watching. These days I care about my teams, but otherwise don't really care about sports. It's become such a money grab at almost every level that it's hard to stomach. If I watch the Super Bowl it's because my wife wants to watch it. I'm still pissed about the Bills losing. Watching the Chiefs and Ravens play Sunday would only dig at a scab that isn't even hard yet. -
Allen was legendary (even better than 13 seconds Allen)
IronyAbounds replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree completely on the WR corps. Barely average at best. Hard to upgrade big time drafting so late. -

Josh was very good tonight, but 10-21 on passes beyond the line of scrimmage isn't exactly a legendary performance. -
We will win a Super Bowl here with Josh Allen…
IronyAbounds replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, last time I checked you had to play in a Super Bowl to win a Super Bowl. Only one AFC Championship game and they weren't really close in that one. The Bills as a whole look pretty average, and Josh doesn't help himself with bad decisions at key times. Not really blaming him for tonight, but the throw over the middle to Diggs surely was the better choice. -

Getting to 6-6 was pretty special too - just not in a good way. -

Cheering for them? Yes. Having the slightest expectation they will do anything special? Nope. -

6 years of Allen and one AFC Championship game to show for it. I don't care whose fault it is, this is underachieving at its best.- 817 replies

Yep, if you think the NFL doesn't care about its fans, just take a look at how it really doesn't give a rat's ass about the players. In addition to the examples above, playing every week on Thursdays is outrageous. 4 day turnarounds are brutal on players, not to mention the crappy play it produces. I'll always follow the Bills, but if they aren't playing I really couldn't care less about the NFL.

Nah, the defense won the game. They gave Josh and the offense a chance to win.
