Oh, when you're invited over for dinner at Jeffrey Dahmer's house bad.

We're back to 1st year Josh. Great throws sprinkled in with errant passes and questionable judgement. I can see the elbow causing the errant throws, but the bad judgement is so much more puzzling.

What a frigging choke job.

Is the world ending? No. Are there genuine non-negligible concerns? Absolutely. I think the problems with the D are mostly injuries. You need more than just schemes to win and the Bills are done a number of starters. The offense is more of a concern. Josh does seem off, but more importantly defenses may have found ways to defense the Bills, in which case Dorsey had better put on this thinking cap and come up with counter moves, other than Josh just running it all the time.

I'm not going to comment too much on today's game because I'm so pissed, but the Bills' fanbase is anything other than spoiled. It has had to endure so much for so long. Expecting to beat a Jets team that was crushed last week by the Pats does not mean the fanbase is spoiled.

They actually seemed to be on auto pilot a lot in the 2nd half. I don't think they thought GB could come back and they let their concentration slip. Hopefully Poyer is ok. I don't think it's a huge red flag, and perhaps it will be a reminder they have to play the entire game.

As bad as the Bucs are, given how awful the NFC South is as of today they would win the division and host a playoff game against the 6-1 Giants. The NFL has to fix its playoff system.

It's probably an unpopular opinion, but I honestly wonder how any parent in good conscience can allow their kid to play football. Even guys who don't play past high school seem to end up with bad knees, hips and shoulders at a relatively early age, and the possible brain damage is frightening. Adults can make their own decisions, but you don't allow kids to do dangerous stuff and football seems to be close to if not in that category.

Normally, but when you're talking about teams in the same division and they have to play twice, it doesn't make sense to play the games at the time of year where weather is more likely to factor into the game.

The Bills seem to have been hit with an inordinate number of injuries early on this season. Take away the cramping caused by the heat and you still have an injury list that seems far greater than normal. Could the fact that the starters played virtually no downs in preseason be a factor? Just bad luck? If it is just a fluke and most of the starter return in short order it won't be a big deal, but if these are nagging injuries the Bills' hopes of gaining home advantage in the playoffs could be hurt badly. The loss of Hyde for the season could be devastating.

3rd and 4th and short (1 or 2) seems to be kryptonite for this offense, both last year and this. Very strange.

You want one thing the NFL could do differently? How about not scheduling the Bills at Miami in September and Miami at Buffalo in December. Just idiotic that they'd schedule these games at times where the weather is very likely to play a factor. Just stupid.

Actually the 4th down call seems even worse.

Absolutely there are no guarantees. At this point Allen doesn't have much more of an increased ceiling (that's more a compliment to him than a critique) and given his style of play an injury isn't out of the question. This was clearly a lost opportunity. However, can't change the past so agonizing over it doesn't really help things either.

Consider Josh McDaniels. He bombed in Denver as a head coach, backed out at the last minute after a handshake deal in Indy in 2018, and yet he merits a head coaching job with the Raiders. Flores takes a disaster in Miami and makes then very competitive in just a couple years. Hard to argue that there isn't racism in NFL coaching hires when there is a lone black head coach and a relatively small percentage of assistant coaches.

It was a complete sham and that's a clear violation of the rule. There is no obligation that they hire a minority, just don't already hire someone and then conduct an interview that obviously was just an appearance to follow the rule. You also have to wonder why they picked Daboll, who has never been a head coach and has been the object of ridicule among many posters here without giving Flores, who made Miami respectable despite a POS owner a moment's thought.

Everyone brings up Hill on the kickoff return, but if I'm not mistaken it was Pringle back there not Hill. Pringle shouldn't have scared anyone.

Again, nothing is certain in this league. There is no guarantee the Bills will be any better or even as good next year. That's what makes this such a blown opportunity. It's going to be difficult to get better overall personnel. My advice, don't blow games like Pittsburgh, Jacksonville and Tennessee so you get home field throughout. Going through a #1 or #2 seed's home field is never a good approach.

Honestly, what do you expect? People to just keep clapping?

The only saving grace in my mind is that I have compared this to 1989 when the Bills won the division in a fashion below expectations and then lost in the Divisional round after losing in the Conference finals in 1988, only to rip off 4 straight Super Bowl appearances. Maybe that means the Super Bowl next year, but at the moment I think the Bills just blew a great opportunity not only to make the Super Bowl but win it easily.

Yep, Dabol didn't cover himself in glory this game. And as bad as the Bills defense was, the Chiefs defense was pretty bad too. Coaching decisions, principally not squibbing it with 13 seconds left, were the biggest difference.

Sorry, you can't depend on the future. All it takes is a single injury to Allen and a season could be ruined. Even this year was a regression in the sense the Bills only made to the Divisional Round, not even the Conference Championship. Look at how consequential a single loss to the lowly Jags was, it cost the Bills home field tonight and likely Super Bowl shot. You have to grab your chances when you can, and the Bills have blown theirs two years in a row.

13 effing seconds and you give up 60 yards. Utter stupidity in coaching.
