Three points would have been more than enuf if the Cowboys had a kicker. -
The Athletic NFL 100 of all time
starrymessenger replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I get the Brady love but I dont exactly share it. I can't think of another player who has made better or more productive use of his particular skill set/talents. And to be clear his talent is obviously considerable and such as to place him without doubt amongst the best ever. He was also an outstanding player and a proven winner in college and him lasting into the sixth round of the draft was ridiculous. But football is a team sport and I cant think either of another player who benefitted more from his association with a great organization top to bottom throughout his tenure in NE, great coaches, players. Those championships belong more to the organization than just to Brady himself. If I were starting a dream team from scratch today even just looking at currently active players and even assuming a Tom Brady at the peak of his powers, there is no way he would be my choice for QB. I'd pick Josh, Pat, AR ahead of him. If the GOAT just means the most successful while still being a great player then sure. Clearly he's not the most talented even just looking at QBs. -
Article: Will Josh Allen regress in 2021?
starrymessenger replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At the end of the 2021 season Allen will be a better, possibly much better QB, than he was at the end of the 2020 season. So no. Bills O will be a DC's nightmare. Just too many options for the man with the golden arm. -
Bills cuts to get to 53 [final info in the OP]

He’s got wheels but I don’t know that he’s ever broken a tackle. I’d stick with Breida. -
NFL Cuts /Cut Tracker

He made the right decision no doubt. Apparently Rosen had a good half yesterday playing with the scrubs. In the minds of some he has already secured his position as Ryan’s backup. Maybe he can play in that offence, he’s sort of like a (much) Iesser version of Ryan as QB types go. I was looking forward to checking this game out but it wasn’t on offer in my part of the world. -
Regarding the repeat offender aspect I confess that I probably haven’t paid enuf attention to the details of all of the allegations that have been made concerning Watson’s behavior but TBH some of this doesn’t really make sense to me. I tend to doubt that Watson aggressively forced a therapist to perform oral sex on him, I mean could she not simply refuse? And as others have mentioned enthusiasts of this kind of therapy usually are on the same page with the service providers with whom they have a business relationship in effect. Some of the narrative just seems weird.

Bills sign WR Steven Sims
starrymessenger replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Where are you getting that 40 time for Sims? His pro day 40 is 4.56. Not only is he straightline slow, but he also tested poorly in explosion and agility drills. He’s small too - so UDFA. Thing is, his game tape contradict all of his RAS measurements. Go figure. How does he win? Virtually all of his playing time and production in 2019 came in the last 4 games - 34 receptions, 310 yards and 4 tds Annualized those are definitely WR2 numbers. Not saying thats what he is but he’s for sure an interesting and unusual player that I’d look forward to checking out. Sort of unfortunate that if he’s targeted in the passing game the guys throwing him the ball will be QBs 3 and 4 who really aren’t very good imo. -
Bills sign WR Steven Sims

Fumbles will surely do him in if not corrected but he’s otherwise a pretty decent prospect. WFT also has a crowded WR room. Depending on Bills injury situation he maybe has a better chance of making the roster here than he had in Washington. -
#11 on NFL Top 100: Stefon Diggs!
starrymessenger replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
idk I think those guys are pretty talented physically even if they aren’t playing say AJ Brown’s game. Denzel Mims is 6’3” and ran a 4.38 40. Right now he’s lining up with the 3’s and 4’s and was being asked if he would like to try his hand at STs. -
Right he’s a backup but in his mind I’m sure he’s a starter in waiting. And the thing is he may have upside as a starter. I’d like to see how he performs in a different system, with better support and a good OC/play-caller. I’d also be curious to see if he was able to improve on the things he struggled with in Chicago e.g throwing to the left side of the field. Thing is MT is unlikely to see live action much, if at all, to showcase his skills. I guess I’m a little surprised that he didn’t go compete for a starting job somewhere else. From the Bills perspective there can be little doubt that he represents a massive upgrade to the back up QB position.

Rousseau vs Sewell. Bills vs Lions Preseason
starrymessenger replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Always figured Rousseau would benefit a lot from a year with Bills trainers, and no doubt he will, but I’m beginning to think he is quite a bit stronger than I thought right now. Maybe I failed to consider length as leverage for power (as opposed simply to reach) when technique is good. -
I think Rosen was a popular choice for many Bills fans on draft day because they had their fill of Roman/Tyrod. They craved a passer and the scuttlebutt was that Rosen was not only the most accomplished passer in the draft but that he was one of the best in recent drafts. I’m not sure this belief was justified even at the time if one closely checked out his college tape. Anyway Bills fans obviously wound up with a top shelf passer.

Preseason TNF: WFT at Pats / Eagles at Steelers
starrymessenger replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Newton’s arm strength was not an issue before his injury. It was always well above average. His arm was never on par with Allen’s though and he was never as accomplished a passer as Allen is now. Allen is a quarterback who can run but is not a running QB by any means. He’s always looking to pass and he’s the guy most responsible for one of the NFL’s best passing Os. Elway is a much better comparable to Josh than Cam. -

Allen is an above average pocket passer. Newton, Cam never had an arm like Allen.
