What? -
I will see Greg Cosell and I will raise him. JMO but I think Josh Allen will eventually (not today and probably not tomorrow) take the art of playing quarterback to a level not previously seen. I think he has the physical and mental wherewithal to do that and I think he fully intends to do it. I do think that PM has maybe pretty much plateaud, albeit at a very high level. He’s a great player and his troubles this year, however we chose to account for them, do not imo detract from what we have already seen and know. But Josh Allen has not plateaud. Though already a superstar, he’s today maybe 70%- 80% the player he will be. There are still rough edges to his game that he will refine. His talent and his prospects have yet to mature. Meanwhile there will be bad plays and also subpar games. Given the untrodden path that has led him to stardom, his career is really just getting started. Barring injury he might well play for the next 10-12 years or more. Winning of course is important but there are some great QBs, including HoFmers, who never got there, so winning cannot be determinative in QB evaluations. Is Brady six times better than AR? Don’t think so. Its a team sport. Fortunately Allen now has the horses to help him continue to develop but its worth mentioning that it goes both ways and my eyes tell me that he actually makes them better than they make him. Josh Allen leads his team in every possible way.

If we trade for a RB, who would you want?

Who wouldn’t like AK? A third round pick just like our guys. Kudos to the Saints. -

For a stone cold bruiser Moss has really soft hands. Neither he nor Motor are game breakers but with better blocking they can give you an effective run game and while somebody like Kamala would be great you don’t actually need it. Attention should be on the line. -

Nope. I see big plays in his future. He’s just too good. The O just hasn’t quite come together yet, but I think it will. Overall with Sanders and with Knox coming around, it should be better than last year when all is said and done. -
Absolutely. And it’s not the first time he has run his mouth like that, notably after last years championship game. Allen would never do that. Would take it upon himself or the team as a whole, but no specific player or position group. Allen clearly has better intangibles and that actually counts for something, sometimes quite a lot when it comes to team chemistry. Mahomes looks to have regressed to training camp 2018. At least he got paid. Chiefs aren’t going anywhere with that D. They are still a dangerous team but it’s starting to look like only any given Sunday dangerous. TB figured them out. Drop the safeties, take away the big play and the Chiefs are just not good enough to sustain long drives consistently enuf. And I suspect it’s only going to get worse this year as the season progresses all other things being equal. I’m actually a little surprised that it took as long as it did for opposing DCs to adjust.
-
And two bad penalties in what should have been the go ahead drive at the end of the game. Just brutal.
-
Is he regressing? Back to 2018 training camp?
-
His teammates must hate Mahomes. How many pics have bounced off his receivers.

Chris Lindstrom, OG, Falcons, should be the target.

Most of the guys who might have been possible trade targets seem to line up on the right side. I would have inquired about AJ Cann but he now been injured. When I look at our deficient run blocking a guy who comes to mind is one Wyatt Teller. He plays now on the right side but before Cleveland he was always a left guard. What with Mayfield (and others) having to get paid and Chubb signing a new deal, Teller is not getting an extension,. He’s maybe the top run blocking guard in the league and his pass pro is much improved since he played here. He is going to be a free agent. Too bad the Browns have not totally crapped out yet. Also their remaining schedule is pretty soft. To me he should be a priority FA. I’d welcome him back. We maybe think of him as more a power/man type but the Browns actually run a zone scheme. I think he’d actually be fine next to Morse. -
Yeah id say thats pretty obvious.
-
Right. Didn’t Fitz throw for 300 and 3 tds as a rookie in his first game way back when? I’m glad MW had a good game and Saleh is liking him. A team with 2 QBs don’t have a quarterback. Jets gonna Jet.

Sure, but are not bottom feeders anymore. We are competing to be the best. -

I perhaps chose my words poorly. Of course they would not care and neither should we. What I do intend however is that given a choice I’d rather see him in the lineup than not. Why? Because to be the best you need to beat the best imo. Its a purely selfish instinct. Nothing generous about that sentiment. I want to play him to beat him. If/when we play them sans Henry and beat then I’ll feel pretty good. If we beat them with Henry I’ll feel even better and if I need to take on more risk to get there (which would surely be the case) l’m game for that. I mean, should we feel even that much better if Julio, Brown and Tanny all go down? Why not go play a JV team. -

Oh I would definitely take the win and run with it obviously. What I’m saying is if I had a choice of playing them with or without Henry I’d rather take on their best. I take no pleasure or derive any comfort from seeing great players go down - even if it improves my chances. How ‘bout you?
