  1. If Beas is 100% he’s absolutely a top slot WR and playmaker and a crucial cog in the O machine. Thing is I don’t think I’ve seen that guy all year (when he sees the field). Is it the injury? Has he lost a step? Regardless Isaiah needs to see the field more, as many have said. He has great chemistry with Josh. Daboll needs to find ways for him, which he should be able to do.
  2. Saw where the Pats actually had a good pressure total (40%+) which surprised me because based on the eye test my impression was that the O-line did a pretty decent job in pass pro and run blocking (which frankly surprised me).
  3. Major step forward for Josh yesterday. Took what the #3 defence was giving him and threw the ball away when there was nothing else to do. If he can sustain that going forward Bills will be hard to beat.
  4. I’m not a fan of Tremaine. I think the point has been made that his length is actually a disadvantage when trying to disengage from blocks because he then lacks leverage and he appears to not use his hands well either. And there are other issues/problems that have been extensively commented. There is no doubt however that he would look a lot better in a D that featured a Star and Kawaan Short at the top of their game like Luke Kuechly had in Carolina. He would probably even turn in the occasional big play.
  5. There’s nothing inherently wrong with McD’s D imo. Its just that it would be a lot better if the down linemen were better. In Carolina his Ds were good against the run. Here not so much. They don’t reliably execute their one gap assignments and penetrate the backfield to disrupt the offence. It’s probably one reason for the emphasis on Dline in last years draft.
  6. Yeah he is more conservative than his mentor Johnson was in that regard. There isn’t anything wrong with that philosophy. In fact you are probably further ahead if you can bring pressure when you want/need to with a four man front. Unfortunately we can’t reliably do that (yet).
  7. He’s a very good change of pace back if you pair him with someone like D. Cook. But clearly he’s our #1 for now.
  8. True. The Bills are no longer a contender, but they are a dangerous team. Thanks to Josh. He is a big horse.
  9. Exactly right. He’s also getting skittish about being hammered constantly. I don’t blame him at all.
  10. Josh would look pretty good in a Bucs jersey. Brady would suck behind our line.
  11. Maybe just another good coordinator who can’t grow into the big job.
  12. Exotic blitzes were an indispensable part of Sean’s mentor Johnson’s defence. Sean not so much.
