  1. Or catch it himself. He’s bigger and stronger than Levi.
  2. I think Josh is trying to beat the wind but putting too much mustard on his throws.
  3. I thought Pickens was the best WR in the draft. A steal in the second round. Pickens has since training camp looked every bit a NFL ready QB. Steelers have excellent receivers and our secondary is beat up. That’s a great matchup for Pitt.
  4. Lawson got pressure in spite of a blatant hold. Hope Poyer is ok. Looked like he was in pain on the bench after his pick. He’s already banged up.
  5. And Diggs is a better, more important player himself since he got here. In fact Allen was why he was happy to come. Diggs does a lot to bring more out of Allen but Allen makes everybody on O better. I look forward to seeing him work more with Shakir. I think their skill sets will complement nicely. Maybe very very nicely ala Brady\Edellman.
  6. Elway wasn’t a winner until Terrell Davis showed up. We just don’t have a #1 RB.
  7. The guys calling the game were silent too. Weird. So obvious.
  8. Hes had more than his share of hard luck. I too wonder whether he’s maybe just not sturdy enough to play at this level.
  9. I know they think highly of Dawkins but I’m frequently unimpressed.
  10. The fourth quarter is when I see them as most dangerous, as against the Ravens. Bills are pretty good at defending against big plays. I don’t expect Miami to try to take the top off early. I think we will see more of their run game early on, especially sweeps. Its going to be 86 degrees and humid at game time. They will try to wear out our front to take something off the pass rush and eventually give Tua more time. They will also want time of possession to keep the ball away from Allen. So I expect lots of dinking and dunking before they take their shots later in the game.
  11. Exactly. Like the TDs to Diggs versus Titans where he rolled to his left, saw the defence had shifted post snap into zone and found Diggs standing alone to the opposite side. I wonder whether someday he winds up following in Johnny U’s and Peyton’s footsteps and calling his own plays.
  12. Something we have not yet seen from Benford, but which he is reputed to have, is ball skills. Can hardly wait.
  13. Having said that Diggs is a top shelf # 1 WR and in the discussion for who might be the best right now (to the extent that those discussions make sense, which generally they do not) I don’t think I’m failing to recognize his value to the receiving corps and to the team as a whole. And I didn’t fail to notice the outside feint that froze the corner on the long ball though in truth he’s run much more difficult routes than that go. I don’t know if you follow the post game commentary but lots of pundits were crediting Diggs with Allen’s improvement and even felt they could point to his arrival as the time when Allen’s talent blossomed. While certainly the good chemistry accounts for much of the success they have both enjoyed that’s going too far imo. Josh Allen can make Kumerow look like a world beater and he was always going to be great. As for Von he is credited with taking the Rams defence to the next level. He actually made Donald a better player. He’s doing the same thing here. Few players can do that and I have no problem seeing him as the leader of this defence, which otherwise has many of the same parts but is much better, sometimes unrecognizable. And why not, He’s a first ballot guy.
  14. Not my view. On O its much more Alan than Diggs who elevates the competitiveness and expectations of those around him (including Digg’s). I see Von Miller as having that sort of influence on the D., inspiring his teammates, bringing the young ones along, instilling confidence etc…The fact that neither Diggs or Miller are home grown may be something that they have in common but that is to me irrelevant to the analysis. Diggs is a top shelf # 1 and in the discussion of the best right now. But I’ve got to say that for all the deserved kudos he got the laser and the long ball yesterday were the real story on those TDs. Many good WRs could have made those catches. Fewer QBs can make either of those throws.
  15. Von Miller is to this D what Allen is to the O. They raise everybody’s game. Few players can do that. Bills have two.
  16. It’ll take some reps before Cook acclimates to the offence. Figuring out exactly how to use him is also a work in process for Dorsey. But it’s pretty obvious what they see as his value added for the offence. Game breaking speed from the RB position, including in the passing game. I expect him to deliver some big plays. Just one more thing to preoccupy opposing DCs.
