  1. Baker will have his suitors. Jets maybe?
  2. You have a point but in fairness to Douglas Wilson was a difficult evaluation. You have to like his arm strength and his mobility. And he can be pinpoint accurate if it's his primary read and even more so when the target is stationary. Thing is even in college he was unable consistently to lead his receivers, go through progressions and read a defence. He was typically late with his throws and would frequently put balls up for grabs. All things that we now see more clearly happening in the NFL where needless to say the game speed is a lot faster than in the Sun Belt. So I agree it was a dumb pick especially given that those are the types of weaknesses in a college QB that you are unlikely to be able to coach out of him. Lots of young prospects have died on that hill.
  3. You're right. My bad. He's not short (nor is he small at circa 214). He only looks (and plays) short and small.
  4. Tua played at Alabama in the SEC and he was good there. Zach had one good year against poor competition behind a very good offensive line. Zach is short. Some QBs can deal with that and still excel. With him it looks like it adds to his difficulty in seeing the field over nfl defensive linemen.. His mechanics are a mess and his accuracy is dreadful. He has no intangibles appeal and is hated by his teammates. I would not say he has all the skills. The mental component in him is entirely lacking. All he has is a live arm, which is good but probably the last thing you should bet the house on when evaluating a college QB. Probably some organization will think they can turn him around but I'd be skeptical.
  5. Don't forget Hackenburg. Second round pick. Mr. Irrelevant in SF way better QB prospect than Zach. Suggests Zach should probably have gone undrafted lol. Zach is what many feared Josh Allen was - a big arm and absolutely nothing else. Whatever gave Douglas the impression that a child could play the position in the NFL? Unimaginable drop off between #1 and #2 in Zach's draft year. After building a roster with some credible talent on both sides of the ball Jets will now have to mortgage their future as they look to trade for a veteran QB.
  6. Zach can't do what Josh Allen do. So he shouldn't even try to do those things. Now #2 Zach is about to be embarrassed by #1 Trevor.
  7. Though injury concerns had me unenthusiastic about chasing CMC (knowing the price was going to be steep) there is little doubt that a healthy CMC (such as he appears now to be) would have immeasurably improved our offence (assuming used properly- not a given).
  8. Pulverizing the victim wasn't enuf so he tried to moon him. Never cottoned much to Willie because Patriots but I didn't think he was a low life crazy.
  9. I dont think Allen is less cerebral than Tua, or even Warner for that matter. I've too often seen him make the right read and execute properly (though more so last year) to believe that. He's also quite capable of getting the ball out fast when he wants to. If he declines an easy lay up for a lower percentage chunk yardage option it's not because he doesn't understand or because he's limited in his ability to read and react. Its because he's Josh Allen and his blood is up. Josh Allen can do things probably no other QB can do because of his transcendent physical ability. I think he could roll to his right and complete a go route down the opposite side. I'm all for his using his physical skills to greatest advantage but I've got this feeling that playing Pop Warner hero ball is not what you want as regular fare and that it could catch up to you, maybe at the least opportune moment. Take the layups. Try to turn broken plays into game changers only when you have to i.e. when the called plays are unavailable. I want Josh to have an even better career than Brett did and I think he can probably do that (with some help from his friends). Speaking of his friends, I take Kurt's point regarding the Bills WRs running poor routes. It's something other game day commenters have properly noted as well as some posters. Too often two receivers in close proximity. Can't imagine that's how those plays were meant to run.
  10. They are both great, but PM has a much better O-line, run game and overall probably better (but no worse) skill position players in the passing game (not to mention coaching - Reid, EB vs Dorsey?). If you exclude the QBs the Chiefs are a better team on both sides of the ball imo. The only reason we are competitive with them is Josh Allen.
  11. He’s no good. A speedster who is not fast and runs into his own blockers.
  12. I know he can throw a strawberry through a brick wall but Josh is a fair weather Cali kid whose skills are greatly enhanced when playing in good conditions. Get a friggen dome already.
