No free release in the bigs. Need more than a couple of go routes. There will be good prospects available in the second through fourth rounds.
-
Agreed. Still dont want him.
-
Wasn't very fast at the combine.
-
One stripe on his Pajamas..
-
Gonzales looks as happy as Stephon Gilmore was.
-
And if not he's probably a Raven.
-
Bigger and faster than James. Otherwise a similar player.
-
He didn't project to the left in college either. He was bad there in 2021. But he's an elite prospect on the right side.

Bijan's a good dude.
-
Word is he's a serious person.
-
He's Josh Allen.

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?

I thought after they signed OBJ the Ravens announced that they were not in the running for DHop (presumably because of the cap). This was in response to Lamar's alleged request for OBJ and DHop. So they were presumably assuming the hit they would take if they signed Lamar to some contract and on the basis of an efficient management of the cap. I thought the Ravens might try and move up (if necessary) to land JSN in the draft. That's the guy who would be best for Lamar imo. Probably a better option than DHop all things considered. Maybe Baltimore revives their interest in DHop if they don't get their man tonight with Zona waiting to see how things shake out. The story has been discredited but it almost makes sense to me. -
The concerns about his weight and football character were mentioned in I think a Chris Simms podcast. I should add that they weren't saying he was a bad actor just that he needed to develop his work ethic. I haven't followed the guy so honestly I dont know whether it's true. One thing I would question is his suitability for a zone run blocking scheme. He is obviously thought of as best suited for a power gap/man scheme which is not what Kromer runs.

You should be concerned about his weight and, in a similar vein, his commitment to playing football. He should be a top 20 pick but the concern voiced by many following interviews is that he simply has not bought in to being a professional football player. There were two. Him and O'Cyrus Torrance.

"We can't get an impact WR in the 2nd round"
starrymessenger replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Explosive player. He's been on the move up (unfortunately) since the Combine. Early reports had him in the third or later. I think he will go second or early third. Another very interesting guy is the Spartan Jayden Reed, pegged as a fourth or fifth round prospect in what I've seen. Another guy who is explosive and extremely competitive. Like Mims great return guy too. He's decent size but plays bigger. -
If you think Dorsey is capable of working two TE sets as a regular component of his offence and you think Kincaid is the BPA at 27 and the best remaining WR then there are at least reasons for taking him there. Thing is he can't really serve as an in-line blocker. For those favouring a TE early maybe LaPorta would be a better all round selection. He's a weapon for sure and reports I've seen say he's a good blocker.

Another one of the anomalies in this years draft is that teams boards probably reflect bigger than usual differences on where teams have graded players. And those differences seem also to be reflected on TBD. To me Wright projects as an elite right tackle and not a developmental mid-round value who would have little chance of earning a second contract if drafted in the first (like Brown). Makes me wonder whether folks are looking at his 2021 tape at LT where he was awful. I think Sims, Cosell and Baldinger all have him as their #1 tackle in this class. Something I found humorous was the way both Baldy and Cosell were so eager to pump Wright that they virtually spit slobbered all over themselves.

Could be. I see the Bills as a good fit and landing spot for DHop. I think there's a good chance it happens. Better here than in KC where he immediately becomes their #1. I would anticipate great chemistry with PM. Don't know whether it's a smokescreen but I believe KC has said they are not in the running. If I thought we could land Mims in the third, I would take him in preference to Addison, who I also like, and use the first two picks elsewhere than WR. In terms of value I don't see these two as far apart, not that they are by any means the same player. Mims is already bigger/taller and the thinking is that he can easily add 10-15 pounds without losing speed or quickness, so circa 195 lbs at 5'10 +. Thats maybe not an X but not out of line for a pro Z receiver. Mims is fast (4.38), faster than Addison. He's also a dawg as far as competitiveness is concerned. A football player. Addison is properly graded ahead of Mims because he's very good - is a much better and more refined route runner and more likely to add impact sooner. Mims, Tillman, Mingo - they all have very promising traits but they need to be coached up.

You need have no fear of that imo.

Probably only about half the first rounders in this draft deserve first round grades. DW would be a bona ride first rounder in any past draft I can think of. He will be long gone at 27. He projects as an elite RT. Don't know that Beane would be able to move up enough to get it done (assuming he's interested).

The class lacks any alpha studs at the WR position but that doesn't necessarily mean that the class is bad, as many have said. It's actually quite deep and I expect that some good wideouts will come out of this draft. A guy like Mims, who has been projected in the 3rd is pretty much very close in terms of value to the guys who are touted for the 1st. To me Mims is way more desirable than a guy like Hyatt. If you insist on a big body then maybe Tillman would be a good get in the 3rd. If players like that drop out of the 3rd you should jump on them. And there are a number of interesting projects who will go backend of the draft or undrafted.

DHop will be a Bill - after June 1st. JMO. -
Well actually Jahmyr was not the fastest RB in this class if one trusts the Combine results. Devon Achane was. And they were both quite a ways from Chris Johnson's 4.22. Gibbs may well turn out to be a great back but it looks to me that Beane has started to address the position with the drafting of Cook, the trade for Hines and the signing of Harris. I don't think he's done but I don't believe his next move will be to spend a high draft pick on a RB when there are other needs and opportunities for improving the offense, including the run game itself with a better o-line. I get the impression that many commenters don't really know or closely follow the Bills. They've probably been hearing all year that the Bills need a more balanced attack so they say hey just draft Jahmyr.
