  1. Will you mean mouth him after he leaves?
  2. I can't disagree but on the rep where Ridley beat Hyde on that huge 3rd conversion I have to wonder whether having Elam man cover him wouldn't have been better. But not setting up 15 yards off the line. In press, like what he's supposed to be good at. I'm not defending him but McD and the Bills are trying to turn into something he's just not.
  3. I guess it's either that or he gets beat off the line. Pick your poison.
  4. If your going to pay a star running back this looks to me a reasonable way to do it. He’s on his first contract which he has outperformed and he’s still very much in his prime. Even there however there is risk relative to the guaranteed amount since he played through injury just last year. Given the hazards of playing the position, what not to do is chase after guys on their second or third contract looking for a big payday.. Look at Dalvin Cook. Looks like hes got nothing left in the tank. Who would have thought. The only RB who seems to have been worth the costs of acquiring him is CMC.
  5. Hardest hitter. Earnie Shavers of football. Interestingly saw Gronk saying Brandon Spikes was by far the hardest hitter he ever faced (or played with presumably).
  6. And with his passing a page is turned in history. RIP. My money says they get it right in 2024. If their FO can't do that they need to be strung up to a tree with a lit bomb in their mouths.
  7. Well I do agree it's hard to fix stupid. But again I don't think he'd be a threat to the Bills locker room. To the contrary if he f'ed up he probably be lucky to make it out of the locker room alive.
  8. Traded for an shipped by who? Oh yeah, the worst FO and team in the League. I sure would have been upset if the Bills had given #53 for him. But for nothing? He has an attitude problem. Lacks effort amongst other things. But if he ever gets his head straight he's definitely a starting caliber NFL WR with elite physical traits. Bills certainly don't need him but just maybe could have used him. I don't really care that they passed on him. Right now the Bills are probably the best team in the AFC and with SF one of the two best in the League. So I'm nor criticizing the Bills' brass here.
  9. Really. I don't think he has the ability to ruin the Bills locker room. Its just not that fragile. Bills are not the Bears. If he didn't shape up he'd be kicked to the curb immediately. Meanwhile he's a talented guy.
  10. I'm with the second part of you. Would have cost next to nothing to PS him. The guy needs to get his head straight but he had a good rookie year with a declining Ben and since then has not played in a good offence or with a good QB. Maybe Josh (and Diggs) could have helped turn him around. Dolphins have looming cap issues and we may not be in a position to resign Gabe.
  11. I think the defender had a hold of his face mask.
  12. I'm sure he can easily put on 6 pounds to reach 230. If he does that he's pretty much the same size as the majority of the best coverage linebackers in the league. He's a little undersized right now but not by much. Maybe looks smaller than he is. I was really impressed with him watching his presser. Like Allen he looks to be a very smart, mature kid and that's pretty much his reputation coming in.
  13. As for his size I have to admit I overreacted. Partly this was because I think he looks smaller than he actually is. It is not unreasonable to expect that he will benefit from the Bills strength and conditioning program. Add just between 5 and 10 pounds to his frame and he is in exactly the same neighbourhood as almost all of the best coverage linebackers in the League.
  14. I agree. Just for example was Tremaine not asked to blitz because they always wanted him in coverage or because he just wasn't very good at it? TB seems to have the skill set to do that. McD is not a blitz happy defensive coach but he can be effective calling them selectively.
  15. He described his negotiations with the Bears as toxic it is true but maybe that's not on him. What the Bears needed to do was make nice with the best off the ball LB in the game. Compare their behaviour with the way the Raven's handled Lamar. In addition to trying to turn Justin Fields into a pocket passer they traded the pick they got from the Ravens (#53) for the icon of underperforming wideouts who, predictably, continues to underperform . They really just can't get it right.
  16. Shame on me. Based on size and speed, as well of his (limited) reps year 1 I was completely unimpressed. And even on draft day I hated the pick. Just goes to show that while inevitably they make mistakes a good front office knows more and better than us fans. Looks like his Sugar Bowl performance was neither a fluke nor something that he can't replicate in the pros. Now I think he could be a difference maker when we play Miami next Sunday. Kudos to McD and Beane.
  17. I know there wound up being bad feelings between the parties but I thought the disagreement was based on compensation. He made his demands known to the Bears and held out to force the issue but they balked and he wound up getting exactly his ask from the Ravens. What's more, the Ravens, an organization good at evaluating players, valued Roquan much more highly than the Bears since in addition to paying Roquan they were good also sending a second round draft pick. The Bears FO at the time got it right when they drafted Roquan eight spots ahead of the Bills taking Tremaine. Not to say Tremaine was unworthy of the 16th pick. He probably was a reasonable selection based on the results of his perceived likely progression at the next level, even if his lack of "instincts" was at the time flagged as an issue. Talent evaluators have to project the player to the pros in almost every case. There are very few can't miss guys. Again not to say Tremaine was a bust. Not at all. But it's probably fair to say that he is mediocre. Current Bears FO looks like a clown show to me.
  18. So they could have paid Roquan? They are incompetent.
  19. Its because they are not very good at their jobs.
  20. Siemian is a lot like Rodgers. Both went down for the Jets after three reps (Siemian in 2019 with a broken leg). They are snakebit.
