Brock Purdy can't do what Josh or Pat Mahomes can do and if you ask him to he would implode. But I don't think Josh or Pat could run Kyle's offence any better than Purdy does.
-
With our luck we trade him and he breaks out into an experienced, young and in his prime pro bowl edge rusher - because that's the level at which he appears capable of playing. I don't want a Wyatt Teller repeat. Can't imagine trading him unless we know we cannot resign him.

Is there an official update on Daquan yet?

I think RWC was pointing out that TJ Watt had surgery. I don't think his was a grade 3 tear. -
Miami dealt a blow! - Achane out multiple weeks!

Size (or lack thereof) is why he dropped in the draft. Even then he was a 3rd rounder. Exciting player but I agree with what has been said about his benefiting from very good run blocking. -
Jets lose Alijah Vera-Tucker for the season

The paper boy they've got under Center is going to get killed. -
Don't know. Could be. No surgery generally means maybe four to six weeks before rehab. Is Jones going under the knife for sure? Edit: ok I see he's having surgery. So maybe he's done for this year after all. I still think we need to know how severe the tear is. Just maybe he could make the playoffs.

There needs to be a thread of the officiating today

They got hosed either way. I missed the call, or at least the reason for picking up the flag. Another poster said it was ruled uncatchable. You may have the better argument tho because I do distinctly remember Pat signaling to the refs the tipped ball gesture. I guess what daddy wants... -
You have a point though personally I don't discount the jet lag "excuse". I do sort of wonder tho whether in football, as in war, it is easier when under stress to defend a position than it is to attack it.

We don't know how what grade Jones' tear is. He could be back this year if it's grade 1 or possibly if it's grade 2. TJ Watt missed 7 games (partial tear). -
I can't imagine that McD did not take the Jags seriously. Everybody knows they have a stout D and many good players at skill positions on O. Are we sure that the travel arrangements were his call to begin with?
-
He dominated for 20 years because he is a great defensive coach who had McDaniels and Tom Brady. All McD needs is a Josh McDaniel because he's already got a Tom Brady (or reasonable facsimile). We will see this year if Dorsey can suck it up or not.
-
Looked half way decent yesterday. Seems to have lost a step tho.

As we all hate on Ken Dorsey today let’s remember

I think McD is an outstanding defensive mind and coach, sorta like Bill. I wouldn't want to lose that. What he needs is an OC who can pull his weight and be on his level. He doesn't have that. Dorsey isn't there yet. -

I wasn't clear why the flag was picked up and another poster said the pass was ruled uncatchable (clearly there was no tip). Begs the question why it's not PI or holding when the defender with his back to the ball blocks the receiver out from going to the ball. And why did the ref tell the defender to put his hat back on instead of penalizing him. On a crucial 3rd conversion the KC receiver appeared to have both feet off the ground and out of bounds after the catch (not just one foot). It was upheld as a catch even after review. And when a Vikings defender stole the ball from Kelsey as it was still moving in his hands as he hit the ground it was ruled a catch. Glad I'm not a Vikings fan this morning. -

Well yeah but if they seem obvious to the dedicated fanbase they must be so also to everyone at OBD (and not just McD but to Dorsey himself). I think McD probably gives his coordinators a lot of autonomy and I actually respect that in him. The problem is that maybe Frazier and especially Dorsey are not always quite up to snuff. -
Actually I think the Finns do have a need. Not this year but when they are cap constrained and unable to resign Waddle who is an UFA after next year.

And I really don't think that's McD's skillset anyways. -
To me the Bills are comparatively a good organization and McD is a good coach and a good person. I think he cares about his guys. Being a good person is important insofar as player relations are concerned and in that regard the Bills have pretty much been without public controversy and focused on football throughout the Beane/McD era. They are entirely a professional outfit. I think he's a top shelf DC, an excellent defensive mind, but I think he needs help with the offence. What he needs is an experienced OC to whom he hands over the reins. Dorsey might be talented but his inexperience seems to show itself often enough relative to play design and play calling. His product sometimes seems unsophisticated in comparison to the best of his peers and one has to wonder whether he is making the most productive use of the talent at his disposal (JMO but I think maybe not). In the best case scenario he gets much better over time as he gains experience. In the worst case he just doesn't have it. In either case time is of the essence re the Josh Allen window. Ideally of course the Bills would have gone out and tried to hire a currently more accomplished guy assuming one was available, but the Bills tendency to hire from within limits the accessible talent pool. Ideally you go out and hire the best guy. Not sure the Bills do that. Maybe their concern is that if they have never worked with a guy there is a risk of functional disharmony at the senior coaching level and that of course could possibly be disastrous. To me though that's a risk that you do your best to manage through due diligence and then otherwise you absolutely take that risk. There is no substitute for talent. Right now I'm hoping that Dorsey will prove to be that guy over the course of the year. If he doesn't they need to make changes heading into the 24 season. I don't care if Dorsey is Josh's pal.

This Team WAS The Best in the NFL

i did but I dont know what excuse they gave for picking up the flag. There was a flag. Did it just fall out of his pocket? -
official told him to put it back on lol.

Apparently he has shaken it off.

Burrow loads up to Chase, 67 yard TD.

Ridiculous, but it's KC.
