I get the impression Wilson is settling down a bit, just enough to hang on by his fingertips. He's standing in the pocket better and making better throws. Seems to see the field better. Its not saying much but just maybe he's starting to turn the corner. Breece Hall is a helluva back. D is legit, like the Browns.

NY Giants @ Buffalo Bills - SNF 2nd half game thread

A game for the ages lol -
Whose this Ford kid

For sure he can operate as a system QB in the right system esp Miami/SF. He's more versatile than that imo but then his true comparable becomes Gardner Minchew plus instead of Joe Montana. Still a very good player. Is Tua any better?

How good is the Bills new starting defense?
starrymessenger replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Before London and with McD at the helm I could see it top 5. Not sure where we are now but it's not the same place. -
Mac Jones and Trey Lance have, or have been thought to have, different skill sets. Mac Jones and Brock Purdy have pretty much the same skill set. They both have average arms, are good but not great athletes, are accurate, are good at reading defences, going through their progressions and making good quick decisions. Purdy is still better than Mac but the difference in outcomes is largely due to what they have to work with and what they are asked to do. Kyle says he came within a whisker of drafting Mac at the top of the draft. Sure he's terrible in NE. I think he'd have had a much better career so far in San Fran and should be able to do a lot of what Purdy has done. This is also why I say I hope that whatever teams drafts Maye or Williams they know how to develop them and put them in a position to succeed. Not comparing Purdy to Montana but he has the skills to be very successful in Shanny's offence and I don't think that's going to change.

If the Bills could have gotten him by sending a late round pick next year (or even maybe the year after) but didn't then they are not in any way interested. If a late round pick couldn't have gotten it done even if they tried then maybe his release was part of the deal that saw him agree to reduce his compensation (and cost to Denver) to facilitate his going to a specific team he wants to play for and which is in on the deal. I would agree with those who see KC as the likely suspect.

Mahomes: You hit me! Macmillan: Come here and I'll hit you again.

Why do I feel like I've seen this before?

Hahaha refs

He's an experienced physical player. His experience includes playoff experience in which he has been very productive. I assume he's now healthy but as far as current year production is concerned he's only played in two games (hip kept him out 3 games) and some 40 snaps. That tells you absolutely nothing about who this player is. Rather I'd look as his production as recently as last year, which was normal for him .Note especially his 2.5 sacks in the playoffs. If we are talking about a Broncos pass rusher that I wouldn't have touched with a barge pole , that would be Randy Gregory. Frank Clark is a veteran money player with probably lots left in the tank. He's not a building block for the Bills but he'd be excellent in a playoff run - at least that's the bet you would be making. Pretty good one imo. Of course I doubt the Bills go there. They may sometimes be conservative to a fault.
-
Well they did their best. The refs I mean. Lots of time.
-
Amongst units pass rushers are of premium value in the run up to and in the playoffs. If you've got a good group that you can make even better you might seriously consider it. Elite fronts can easily decide championships.

On paper Maye is maybe a better pro prospect. He too is a double threat, except he's 6'4" and weights 230 LBs.. Williams is a magician but I'm a little (not much) concerned about his ability to transition. I just hope that both these guys go to teams that are prepared to do what is necessary to have them develop and succeed.
-
Not a process kind of guy. Have a hard time seeing McD being in favour of it.
-
If anyone thinks Kincaid would be unable to do what LaPorta has done in Detroit they are mistaken.
-
Some "bad" teams know how to develop an elite prospect at the all important position, Jacksonville, Buffalo...Some teams only know how to ruin them. If I were in the Williams or Maye camps I would not want them in NE.
-
Going to NE would more likely be a nightmare scenario for Caleb or Maye.
-
Mac Jones is terrible in the NE O. But he'd probably be very good in San Fran. He has pretty much the same strengths and weaknesses as Brock Purdy.
-
Do it for sure if at reasonable cost. You can't have enuf pass rush, especially in the playoffs. Pass rush is the way to beat San Fran. Probably the only way.
