  1. Eli saying Josh not cut out to execute this offence, Needs to be more involved.
  2. I sure like the guy in his college highlights. Destroyed Auburn. I thought he looked ok last year but then why was he on his couch? If the explosion is gone that was always a big part of his game.
  3. Anything is still possible. Its a week to week league. What's important is who has their stuff together come playoff time. I would have thought that the Bills would be exactly the kind of team that could go on a run (or crap out). No Milano, White, Jones is what gets me down.
  4. Giving Gabe a big contract instead of giving Tee Higgins a bigger one would be like the Bears giving Edmunds a big contract instead of giving R. Smith a slightly bigger one. Higgins is headed to FA for sure. Bengals won't have the cap space even to franchise him. Bite the bullet. No half measures. Pay the man. Josh would have 2 #1 receivers. If anyone wanted D. Hop, Higgins is an elite talent in his prime. If they cut Boyd loose too we might look at him, but Higgins is the prize. It is possible of course that they can find that player in the draft but there are few receiver prospects that are guaranteed can't miss and you've got to be sure. Addison could have been that guy and the Bills liked him a lot.
  5. Unless it's M. Harrison Jr. or some other absolute can't miss college phenom just pay Tee Higgins 20 bucks a year. You go from not having a true # 2 to having two # 1s.
  6. Have to wonder whether the kind of offence McD wants is the one most suitable to the personality and precise skill set of his star QB. Maybe Josh is not being put in a position for him to best succeed. If that's accurate McD will eventually have to go. And if that too is true, the sooner the better.
  7. Like the man (Herm Edwards) said "you play to win the game". IMO if we stick with McD it'll be more "it's hard to win in the NFL". You are not going all out to win if you doubt your HC has what it takes to get you there and you leave him in the saddle. No guarantee that a change would work but if you don't even try you are not to be taken seriously in an ultra competitive environment. I'm obviously not an expert but Dorsey looks to me to be inexperienced (not necessarily bad). Don't think he's ready now and there is no knowing whether he will ever be ready. And promoting him from within (especially of a guy already fired once as QB coach in Carolina) leaves me with the uneasy feeling that McD looks for a very junior partner because he fears any challenge to his conservative, defensive philosophy and approach. Possibly a lack of self-confidence or at least an indication of a lack of flexibility. I'm not sure how comfortable he would be if a bright young OC was hired to take over from Dorsey and suddenly unlocked a tremendous improvement in the O, showing McD up. He might even feel threatened. So really it might make the most sense to get rid of both McD and Dorsey. I don't believe things will get better unless and until we do but to me McD is the biggest problem. Speaking for myself I believe that Beane is a good GM but he's had to give McD the kind of team McD wants. I think the emphasis on D, or rather the neglect of the O, stems from McD. Interesting that both McD and Jauron are conservative, defensive coaches who were defensive backs in their playing days and are good at coaching up DBs.
  8. So Shaun why did you get away from the up tempo no huddle offense? Shaun: "Sole secure methoda per decevoir natura is for a strong guy to continuo continuo continuo jusqu'al plaisir brimps, et alors a l'ultima instanta switchers a l'altra gropa". Thanks Shaun.
  9. Well doesn't look like he starts out on the right foot either.
  10. PFT says our offense is a "cyclone of insanity" lol. Sorry if previously posted.
  11. I now know what kind of team the Bills are. The kind that's just good enough to ruin another teams playoff chances on any given Sunday.
  12. Sometimes I think Burrow is a young TB. Similar skill set. To me right now Mahomes, Josh and Burrow are the three best QBs in the league. And they are in their prime.
  13. IDK dont you have to put the ball in the end zone?
  14. If anyone had told me that Bernard was going to be a significant upgrade to Edmunds I would seriously have thought they were crazy. I was not an Edmunds fan but to me he was a legit starter, something I doubted Bernard would ever be. I know the Bills got a big heads up from the Baylor coach so that they were ok moving up, but I don't recall whether the contact/connection was with McD or with Beane. I also wonder where he would have gone in the draft if we had not been so aggressive. At the time I think some saw him as maybe a 5th and others as depth and special teamer. I guess what he brings is just a perfect match for McD's scheme. Beane did a great job this past week. If Douglas had a bit more foot speed and agility he be a pro-bowler. All for maybe 50 spots. Sweet.
  15. This guy is a good veteran corner still in his prime who should fit in very well with what the Bills do, which is a lot like what GB does for that matter. Beane definitely won this trade. A third was probably even light comp to GB but getting a fifth back seals the deal as a big win. I dont follow the Pack but over the years I’ve taken in some of their games and I noticed this guy. He looked to me like a very smart player at his position and a playmaker.
