Harbaugh is a former Pro Bowl QB and has personally groomed AL as well as generally directed Stanford's offence. I will be interested to see what happens now that JH is gone.

Not a Brohm backer but I wouldn't put too much emphasis on the Jets game. Right side of the O-line was down to street guys after our second stringers went down, our receiving corps was decimated, and he had Mr. Calvin Pace in his face all day. On the other hand I think Chan and Cortez probably have a pretty good fix on the guy. Don't know if he sticks next year. Almost certainly won't if Chan gets his way a drafts a QB.

I agree with those who say that next season will probably reveal exactly what we have with Fitz. At 28 and with 5+ years of pro experience he may very well be coming into his own. Chan is an offensive minded coach who has success with QBs. Having seen the result of his work in Canada for years, I also think Cortez was a great, though quiet, hire for the Bills. He is an outstanding QB coach. Marc Trestman, the Montreal HC, who also has a history and reputation for grooming QBs, including NFL QBs, has called him the best in that department north of the border. If these guys can help Fitz improve his technique he has the brains, leadership and attitude to be a legit NFL starter. The stakes are pretty high for the Bills but more so for RF himself. If he goes on a tear next year with so many teams needing a QB he is likely to be a hot commodity in free agency for the 2012 season.

Agree he is a much better and more effective player than people on this board usually give him credit for, but Chuddy will avoid him like plague IMO because of the huge risk of bad chemistry - and I think they would be right to do so.

I agree. OT Light. He is good in scheme blocking but I like a road grader there. Also he misses a lot of time through injury. His talent is useless (and therefore likely to be very expensive) if he doesn't see the field. Sorry. Re previous post read "zone blocking scheme".

I am very wary of making claims and predictions concerning the pro career of any college athlete, but I subscribe to the (still minority) thinking that Luck is not just the legit # 1, but very possibly a once in a decade type of talent at that all important position and one that nobody can pass on.

I like CJ too. He looks like a really great kid and frankly I'm glad he got paid - if he turns out not to be great investment, thats on the FO because CJs got great attitude and I'm sure is willing to learn and improve. The problem I have, in addition to the oft cited "lack of vision" and "failure to adjust to the pro game" is the lack of burst, for a guy who was supposed to be all about burst. You see it especially on kick off returns, where he should excel. He seems somewhat tentative and I just don't see the explosion you have in good return guys (who are often not high draft choices). That is probably what worries me most. He is not the most dangerous return man on this team. Leodis is. Trouble is Leodis is as dangerous to the Bills as to the opposition. McGee was also better (so far at least) in his day.

Actually the reason he is so good is because he is pretty big (6'1", 215 is not a small back), pretty strong (consistently breaks tackles and gets the extra yards) and fast enough (witness his long run vs the Bengals if memory serves).

I thought I did say something about a better supporting cast. And by the way the Giants (and Hoststler) beat us was by keeping our offense, and their "world class" defense off the field. Remember? ok ok its Rod Woodson. And BTW its starrymessenger.
