If you agree with that statement and if you think it would have been flagged had it occured inside the pocket than you would logically have to say it should also be flagged outside the pocket. Fair take imo. Assuming injuries dont derail things and MD can get his head out of his pants I think the D can hold up if they are not seeing the field all afternoon. I think AB is underappreciating Gaines and Poyer. If all of that is true and if the Bills are serious about giving it their best shot this year their fortunes will rise or fall based on the performance of the O. Unless they find some WR help they will not be nearly the team they could be. Specifically they need a sure handed good route running legitimate deep ball threat who cn develop chemistry with TT. They can only fnd that via trade (and Arizona would be a good place to knock on the door imo).

Personally I think finding that guy is critical and of the highest priority if you want to give it your best shot this year. Bills have enuf possession receivers (if you include Clay). What this offence could use big time is a guy who runs good routes, has good hands and can absolutely take the top off the D.

Thats what I was thinking. Zona can maybe do without him and might unload him for a day three pick though they could ask for a second rounder I suppose but he is a UFA in 2018 so no. If he is healthy again that is a trade I could see happen. I think the Bills will stand pat tho. Maybe they can get a receiver by committee going but personally I think that they could use a burner to take advantage of Taylors long ball and soften things up underneath. I dont think that Philly Brown is that guy. But I do think John Brown is.

Yeah absolutely what I thought and expected when it happened. Could not believe how swept up the announcers (and maybe the refs) were by the prospect of another spectacular end game signed Tom Brady. If memory serves I think the network only showed this angle replay once and the others where you didnt see the ball come out and Cooks landing on top of it over and over.

In wondering whether we can compete our OC, QB and a particular DT come to mind.

They will certainly get better, their O line and their D. But it won't be enuf. I look forward to playing them. Bills/Pats could actually be a very interesting matchup.

To me a lot depends on a Bill who won't even see the field - Rick Dennison, OC. If the gameplan and playcalling are designed with Tyrod's strengths and not his weaknesses in mind then the Bills have a chance to at least be competitive. Scheme around what he can do, and not what he can't and Taylor can give you enuf to have some success against even a better D than Atlanta has. If Dennison fails to do that we might be looking at a blowout. The D is improved but our secondary is pretty young, hasn't played together much and Atlanta is the most explosive O in the league. Sure hope Dareus is up to it and has a good game. Coleman and Freeman are a very good RB tandem.
