  1. Didnt he shut out the # 1 pick? Not too shabby. Of course hes probably off our board, liike the steal of Rd 1.
  2. Opinions on QBs can differ, although the Bills still need to draft one (or two) this year and/or next. I would have liked a 2nd this year instead of a third. Chiefs believe they have landed a franchise type prospect at the all important position after all. Still I would have liked this trade a lot more had they taken Foster at 27. Why not take the guy who projects elite instead of just good pro? I get the character stuff but would you pass on L. Taylor or Ray Lewis because they are not choirboys? I just hope we are not in Ralph/Jauron territory or it will be a long 4 years or so.
  3. Hoping McD does not turn into the ghost of Dick Jauron, condemned for a certain time to walk the earth of OBD.
  4. So Foster was not on our board because of character issues. Got it coach.
  5. There was a franchise difference maker there at 27 and we didnt get him. Nothing against White but why pick for need when you can pick for need and BPA (by far) all in one.
  6. Yeah. Screw the value chart. Just another meaningless statistic without context.
  7. Getting him still has to be considered a longshot, assuming you are still interested 1 year from now.
  8. Dont like it. Prolly late first next year, rate it a weak 2nd today and a third to drop 17 with whats left on the board. Needed another player IMO.
  9. Bears didn't disclose the player to SF. Wonder if the 49rs are pi$$ed.
  10. Johnny two times? I got your point the first time. Even before. If it makes you feel any better looks like your boy could even be an upgrade to Tolbert.
  11. From what I glean he is no longer challenging Garrett for top spot in some folks minds who maybe thought so but is still comfortably top 12 at worst. Says docs tell him that if its a problem it wont be for 15 to 20 years.
  12. Yeah, staying lower to the ground does make a lot of sense mechanically and conceptually but there are many notable exceptions to the rule. And as a comparison to Perine wasn't Campbell fairly upright (except when he was about to send somebody not named Tatum into an alternate universe) and what about the Nigerian Nightmare.
  13. Because he's gonna be better than Julius Peppers (according to C. Casserly). But I dont think you need worry. I think he's gone before 10 even if 2 QBs are taken. And we seem to like D-Linemen with bum shoulders anyway. Seriously I have not heard that Allen was likely to drop for health related issues. Maybe I'm just not up to date tho.
  14. I defer to you if you have followed this kid but he looks to me to be more dud than a stud. Looks the part, like Hack, but from the gametape snippett the execution seems slow (contrary to whats in the title).
  15. Hmmm... two QBs go in the top 10, J. Allen falls to us, then we scoop bad boys Foster and Conley at 44, 75 or trade up and call it a day. Three high to mid-first rounders and the D is transformed for years to come. I know its not happenin'.
  16. Eric Dickerson was the most upright runner I've ever seen.
  17. If you're a DB gettin in his way is a recipe for a bad day.
  18. Nothing wrong with that HL reel. Good footwork, accurate, stands tall under pressure and maintains vision. Arm strength??? Wish somebody would produce an offsetting Lowlight reel to complement these hghlights. Nothing wrong with the MAC either IMO.
  19. Will be interested to see how Mike makes out in NE. Dont see him in the mould of what I imagine the prototypical #1 NE RB is like - a tough inside runner capable of getting the short yardage when needed but athletic enuf to break out on other downs. Mike and Blount are very different backs. Do their guards pull a lot or can they if required. Are their WRs and D Allen good blockers?
  20. But is Wilson a pocket passer? I don't think I'd call him that. But he can operate in and around the pocket and he is dangerous as a passer (not just as a runner) outside the pocket when thats the play call or when the play has broken down. He sees more of the field well, throws with anticipation while maintaining accuracy, understands when and knows how to throw with touch and with a little extra when its called for, has outstanding situational and spatial awareness. He is just a much more talented passer. Tyrod does not work the pocket well, does not throw well on the run (unfortunately, because he is tremendously mobile), has poor field vision and spatial awareness, often lacks touch when it is called for. He has a nice long ball but thats about the only time he is consistently in sync with a moving target and thats probably because its the easiest throw to make and requires the least of those aptitudes that good nfl passers posses. I hope that he can turn the corner but I don't think it is going to happen. You have to be naturally endowed with the skills required to be a good passer and as athletically blessed as he is those aptitudes, which to me are more mental/cerebral than physical, are somewhat dead in him.
