  1. Really don't understand this empty backfield stuff on short and goal.
  2. I agree. IMO AS is a good QB and would represent a major upgrade. Don't know what the plan is at OBD however.
  3. Huh? I'm totally laid back and I don't remember blaming any QBs. My question really really really is about Goff's deep ball. Go back and check out the play that was being discussed (if you have it). Sammy has his guy beat and has to hold up. He boxed the corner out of the play very well but did not complete the catch, which he should have. I've seen Goff underthrow him a number of times this year. If the Rams don't give him a contract they will need to find another guy who is a threat in the vertical passing game. Otherwise Woodsie and Kupp (who are possession receivers) will not be handing in such good report cards next year. And that's really just a comment on the Rams O. Now if you want my view of Sammy, I think he was a legit high first rounder. But he was only worth one first round pick, not two. I think Doug was the only one of the 32 GMs who would have done what he did, especially given the strength of the class. You don't do what Doug did for anyone not named Calvin or Julio. I never thought Sammy was a generational talent. You really can't blame the player for that. OTOH Doug did get it right when he picked RW in the second round. He's legit as a # 2 receiver, he's a great blocker (despite his infraction yesterday). Just a good, hard nosed football player. Always liked him a lot. Go Bills!!!
  4. I said he should have caught that ball (in case you didn't notice). The point I was making had more to do with Goff than Sammy. I see him often underthrowing Sammy after he has beaten his man. He's a good short/intermediate passer but it's got me wondering about his long ball accuracy and arm strength.
  5. Agree but something I've noticed this year is that as their long ball threat Goff constantly underthrows him. Raises at least a question in my mind as to Goff's armstrength long ball accuracy.
  6. Well I certainly agree that we should hold on to him if we cannot do better. If you revisit my post you will see that I was asking 26 who he wanted to draft as part of an ongoing discussion. The sort of thing that happens on a message board. I appreciate your intervention but only he can answer that question.
  7. Well I certainly like Tyrod (the person anyway) too, but I think you will be having to kiss him goodbye. Sorry. My question was for 26 (not you), who is mindful of Tyrod's limitations. He's also not keen on another vet as a bridge it seems. So I just wanted to know what QB he wanted in this year's class. But I don't think he wants to answer that question, for whatever reason.
  8. Everybody knows you don't like Nate (even if you don't hate him), so I wasn't thinking of him. I take it you want to draft one. Not a bad plan. Who then?
  9. Newsflash - Ok, so he does hate Alex Smith after all. My bad. Wonder who he likes? Any QB as long as we draft him? Whadya say 26?
  10. 26 actually isn't against Alex Smith. And he's not enamoured of Tyrod either. He's having a wet dream where the Bills draft the ghost of Jim Kelly who immediately leads the team to a half dozen consecutive Super Bowl victories. Not to worry. He will wake up eventually.
  11. I don't think Andy can reasonably expect a first and we shouldn't give one just because we have 2. Jimmy G. bagged Belly a 2nd.
  12. It is absurd to suggest that he will be cut. He either stays or is traded.
