  1. that scares the crap out of me.
  2. i can't agree with this. i mean who can argue that we have not done well in recent years? (trying to be polite) but we still have a team and i think that all involved would love to win everything all the time. and in the end i love the buffalo bills, they are my team, and i will support them.
  3. seems like he was penalized multiple times in every game he was in...real lack of concentration. could be chalked up to him being a little overwhelmed or something much worse. maybe he will be a good player in this league and just needs more time to develop, or he may never be able to handle the position in the nfl. either way, let's bring in some legitimate competition, and let's put the best 5 on the field.
  4. well then, if this guy has the size and the ability, then all that is left is character and nastiness. if he is a class act off the feild, has a brain in his head, and is "intrinsically motivated", is he our guy at 9? i can't help but think that a beast of a man in the middle of the defense is the perfect place to start. if you can tie up 2-3 blockers with one guy, he instantly makes everyone around him better. to me, that's what you need to get, a guy that not only makes an impact on his own, but makes things easier for those around him and coaching him. right now all i have is a lot of hope and a few what ifs, and i would love them to turn into "holy crap, this worked out nicely!"
  5. i don't watch any college football so i have no idea who is really how good. but dan williams' name keeps popping up and usually as mid-late 1st, early 2nd round pick. seems like he has the size, but other than that, i know as much about how good a football player he is as serena or venus williams. if he could be good, and had later i the draft, would the bills be well served to trade down and pick this guy up and get additional picks/players/trade bait?
  6. not gonna tear you up, but hear me out on this...why could i never bring myself to hate this guy? seemed to me he was hard to dislike as a person, and really hard to like as a coach. so basically he made me so mad i would yell a lot, but i could never find it in me to call him bad names.
  7. i'm fine that the bills didn't make much noise with the hiring of the coaching staff. i'd much rather have a bunch of "who?" guys than "WHYYYYYYY?!?!?!" guys. i'd be fine with solid value free agents that can provide depth and adequate play over one guy that gets 10 mil a year and has that star power in his name. and as far as the draft goes...if we have a repeat of the success of the '09 draft, with the addition of actually drafting a first rounder that is ready to play some football, i think we are doing good. also, in the addition by subtraction catagory, without dj's horrible clock management/quick decision making skills, isn't this team already 2-3 games better? oh yeah, and what if they actually practice hitting/blocking/tackling?
  8. wow, this guy is either going to be extremely motivated with a huge chip on his shoulder...or a powder keg waiting to blow a locker room up. don't think i want him on my team, or running at my qb.
  9. not to mention he wanted so much to be a buffalo guy. just too bad he sounded a bit too much like jeff spiccoli.
  10. We NEED to start drafting the RIGHT guys. I think that is really setting this team back whiffing so bad on that 1st round pick. that is a huge part of the situation we are in. it "seems" as though we also have a bad habbit of letting the players we do develope go for nothing, or close to it. so yes, hitting on the high end of the draft would be great, developing said talent and utilizing it to the highest potential would be great. and keeping these players so we do not have to use draft picks musical chair style to get their replacements would also be nice. let's work on fixing what is, in fact, broken.
  11. i can get on board with all of that. it seems like the decisions being made are far from flashy, but very good, sound football decisions. and that is pretty much what we wanted. i just have this annoying voice in the back of my head telling me i've heard all this before. hopefully...we finally walk the walk. anyway, i'm all in! GO BILLS!
  12. how about a new nt (or a couple), stroud, johnson, williams and an addition for the 4rth in the rotation at d-end, and the rest of our d-ends along with the best foaming-at-the-mouth atheletes we can find duke it out for the outside 'backer positions? and...oh yeah...there's the whole mlb issue. let the theorizing begin!
  13. whover is available with the most talent/will to dominate. a top flight qb would be fantastic for reasons we have already discussed ad nausium. a tackle that can put d linemen on their backs with regularity would only help as well. bottom line: take the biggest difference maker available!
  14. and we would like to extend this laurel, and hearty handshake to our new... best post i've read in a long time...good coach gailey!
  15. Again ... here is the need for a "Like" button agreed. i am a bills fan, this is my team, chan gailey is my coach. i will cheer, i will scream, i will vent, and i will probably B word too. but i will support them as long as they are THE BUFFALO BILLS!
  16. i think i like billick more than cowher because it's more likely he will come here. i don't even want to get excited over the possibility of cowher if there is no chance.
  17. say what you want about jerry sullivan, but when there is credit due, there is credit given. great article, and our new coach seems to be doing just about everything that we as bills fans would want. we just squished the fish...WAY TO GO COACH!!!!!!!!!! GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. good luck with that. i see a lot of people here that just love to vent and gripe about everything that happens. i don't know how some folks can call themselves "bills fans". i am guilty of being the exact opposite. i tend to try with all my might to "billieve" that we have a chance every year no matter what...can't help it, this is my team and i love them, but at times it is really hard to like them. anyway...here's to hope!
  19. i actually like the personalities of wgr 550. yes, they do a lot of non-sports related filler, but if you had to listen to 90% of callers whining about how bad everything sucks and everyone needing to be fired...wouldn't you want to spend an afternnon drafting your favorite actors too? that's just my opinion and i'm usually wrong...just ask my wife.
  20. i don't even want to think about that. say what you will about lynch, i wish everyone would give the effort this guy does on the field. now if only he could learn to do stupid things in the privacy of his own home rather than out on the streets...
  21. i think we have a four letter word called "hope" for him. or if you want to put it this way...we haven't seen enough of him to say he is no good.
  22. cutting T.O. would only make sense if you were to blow up the entire staff right now and treat the rest of this season as an 8 week pre-preseason audition.
  23. the best i can hope for is that all these professional atheletes take a good look in the mirror and get really mad. so now we have a group of irate gladiators with chips on their shoulders looking to knock people around, and our uber-conservative style turns into nasty, old-time smashmouth football. well, a guy can dream, right?
  24. i may be completely nostalgic, but i loved levy, still do. his book was very inspirational and i think he represents our glory years as well as kelly, thurman, bruce and all the other greats. that being said, what a group of amazing players we had.
