  1. i also like all 3 of our guys are sincerely hope that they can share the ball and the spotlight. best case scenerio is that they are all utilized on a game by game basis, taking advantage of each individual skillset. what i want to see is how opposing d's try to shut down these 3 monsters in the 4th quarter if they all have fresh legs! i support one and all of my bills!
  2. this is a very good posibility. it all comes down to attitude and effort. this kid is an amazing talent, but he is a kid. if you look at his off the field issues, they all boil down to immaturity and poor dicision making. on the field, when he is locked into "beast mode", and it looks like he is giving a piggie back ride to half the opposing team's D...that's a beautiful thing. and i recall a few moments where we were close to the goal line and he just decided that there was no one that was going to stop him. if he is in the right frame of mind, i want this guy on my team!
  3. i think i may have a man-crush developing for mr. gailey. every time i hear what he has to say i find myself thinking "hell yeah! that's OUR coach!" anyway...just wanted to say go bills!
  4. i'd love to see this guy make the team and contribute. size and attitude make me want to like this guy. if he works out, nt could be a position of strength on this team...love to see it. and if all three work out, imagine the specialty/goal line packages!
  5. i am an extreme optimist this time of year but the players we have in here right now are giving me much hope. seems like the majority of what we have on the dl are young and hungry and have some talent. and if our coaching staff is truly going to try to work out of a 3-4 base with other formations, variants and combinations of personel...there could be some interesting things happenin. and just to think of what could happen if some of our de/olb guys work out... all i can say is GO BILLS!
  6. wow, this really is a trent edwards thread...(rimshot). sorry, couldn't resist.
  7. i would absolutely love this!
  8. agreed, but as long as we are into the what if's...i would absolutely love for the possibility of swapping 1st's to get gaither, keeping our high 2nd, and maybe trading some players that don't fit or don't want to be here, and going with the philosophy of drafting the bpa for our draft slots.
  9. i would absolutely love for this to happen, or with different players selected. not sure if it is possible, but wow would it be fun!
  10. i disagree. what if...big what if...the bills take tebow for all the intangibles, and work within his strengths and his comfort zone to utilize what he does best ? therefore, we would have an offense built around a "unique" qb who refuses to lose and makes all players around him better. not to mention he could make marshawn see the error of his ways and get people to take the buffalo "hometown discount" so that we can retain all of our good players, and also attract top-tier free agents to buffalo because of the new success of the team. and don't get me started on what he will do for tthe community and the economy...
  11. as far as the height thing goes, don't we ideally want someone shorter with good leverage to get under the pads of the center/guard to stand them straight up and take away their push? if that is the case, williams is perfect at 6'1''. and yeah, 305 or wherever he is listed is not a lightweight, but is it conceiveable for him to add 10 t0 15 lbs and not lose any quickness/explosive burst off the line?
  12. if this is the case, and we see a lot of situational formations...would it be conceiveable to have a lighter "pin your ears back and get to the qb as quick as possible" obvious passing formation along with a nobody under 300 lbs on the front line "none shall pass" goal line package with 4 down lineman that could all pass for nfl dt's?
  13. well, maybe the dolphins could move to toronto...but would we still get paid big $ for our anual north-of-the-border game?
  14. this guy is a hard working, humble, blue collar, lunchpail packin' widebody. seems like i thought of him as a 3-4 DE. but the new staff sees him as a nose tackle. i've heard many people refer to him as the "obvious passing down" nose for our new D, but could he be the #1, every down nose tackle for us? i have to believe he will work as hard as humanly possible to do whatever is required, so is it too much of a stretch to think that he could pack on some more muscle and be that guy that O-lines absolutely hate to play against. didn't he take off a bit of weight to fit into jauron's scheme? he has been one of my favorite bills over the last few years and i just hope they have a place for him on the field.
  15. I cant say I am thrilled with this. I love Williams and all, but I think he could be a stud at DE, and think he will be a bit of a let down at NT. Besides, we are going to add some DL guys anyway, so why not add an NT and let Williams move to the 5 tech. i agree that i would love to see him and stroud at the end spots, with a 325+ guy in the middle. but i could see williams at the nose. just look at the way he is built...solid and low to the ground. i suppose that he could put on a few lbs and be a bit closer to the prototypical size, or the scheme could be modified to fit his skill set. or...this could just be a lot of pre draft posturing by our new fearless leaders. guess we'll find out in a couple months.
  16. just like brian orakp..oh crap! did that really happen?!?! i just love a heavily salted wound on a dead horse.
  17. i like that he said people may think he is mean because of the way he is on the field. also, in this case the "high motor" thing is not a deterant seeing as though he is 320+. seems like a good kid and a bad mutha all in one. if he likes chicken wings i am officially declaring a "man-crush"!
  18. if he is cut, bring him in to camp and we'll see what he's got. but no way do i give up anything to put him on my team.
  19. neither offend me, but i have thick skin and a bit of a sick sense of humor. i can see where both would offend some people. but i think 90% of the viewing populace would just laugh.
  20. isn't your avatar deadpool from the marvel comics universe? didn't know that he was anti-religious. though, he is known as "the merc with the mouth" so i could see where he would offend a lot of people!
  21. i think that when your coach says that this is a quarterback driven league and you have questionmarks at best on your sideline, news involving trades for competition is a wonderful thing. even if they do not trade for anyone it shows that they are looking to put the best possible qb out on the field wearing the red, white and blue.
  22. all this is true, but it seems like many of us bills fans...the crazy, die-hard, overly optimistic, glutton-for-punishment types...really have a strong connection to our football team (or at least want to). and that is why we wanted jp to succeed, because he seemed to really want to be a part of Buffalo. and that is why i think a "buffalo guy" is an important trait to have in our qb.
  23. 1.leadership - you have to get people to follow and believe in you. 2. ability - you have to be able to back up #1. 3. toughness - gotta be able to take hits and make the token "this guy loves his rb's" block 4. character/ability to speak - gotta be a decent guy and not sound like an idiot. 5. buffalo - this is actually #1 but can be developed. gotta love the city and the fans and realize that if you succeed, you are a hero in western new york.
  24. more and more i'm thinking if we want him, he's our guy at 9.
  25. no! absolutely not, and in no uncertain terms...NO! he has very small hands, fumblitis, and is a horrible decision maker. this is not our guy.
