  1. if this is accurate, maybe some guys got a lot stronger and others are a bit more agile. or maybe it's all just a bone thrown to us from OBD to give us something to talk about.
  2. looks like carrington and spencer have both beefed up, i believe they were around the 275 lb range last year. i really hope that they do well as a unit this year. big and nasty sounds good to me!
  3. doesn't matter what round he was drafted in because it's going to come down to how badly does he want to be an nfl football player. and this time last year everyone was telling us how kyle williams couldn't play nt because he wasn't built for it. mr. williams can play any position on the d-line because he is a football player, line him up and let him go. i will not be the one to say he CAN"T do anything.
  4. not just them. but i believe we have quality depth with spencer, edwards, troup and carrington. and i guess in 4 man fronts you can throw kelsay in there as well. but yes, the beef up front should be able to give a lot of o-lines fits.
  5. after watching half this board self destruct because of the perceived lack of fa activity, can we all find at least a small happy place to go to with our draft picks/fa signings? it seems like we are now a bit more tooled up for the 3-4 defense as well as some mean 4 man fronts with depth to go around. now let's try not to flip out over the o-line/tight end spots, buddy's "be patient" approach just might work after all. we haven't made a lot of moves, but so far i like them all.
  6. and all this going on behind the lineup of dareus-williams-edwards. with depth there with troup, carrington, spencer and jasper! i like our chances.
  7. doesn't really matter what you call him if he can play 7 different positions and have a great attitude and be productive doing it. i really like this signing.
  8. love his attitude and the attitude of the team as well. i think the head coach has a really nice disposition as well. maybe that is why free agency is not a free for all for the bills right now. because our "football guys" want to make sure that the people they bring onto this team are going to fit into the desired mold of what they are building. i am really excited to see what will happen over the next few weeks and the only thing i hope they bring in now is someone with a bit of nasty to their game.
  9. this kid could be someone who gains experience in the short term with the hope that he could be with us in the long term. i thought i recalled hearing that he was a gritty straight ahead style runner who was a willing if not spectacular blocker. also i believe he has good hands and a great attitude. it would be great for him to leard under freddy for a while, then when mr. jackson is ready to call it a carreer, he can pass the torch. but, i'm always optimistic.
  10. wow...at least now i know who channing crowder is. i think that is one of the funniest examples of a guy being rendered the exact opposite of speechless.
  11. i'm not going to get bent out of shape over this one. up until yesterday i had never even heard his name and i still have no idea what this guy is all about. maybe we lost out on a great lb, maybe not. i'm still in "euphorically optimistic" mode. so i am gonna sit back and see what happens between now and opening day. because you know what? we aren't going to lose a regular season game between now and then, and there is a LOT that we will find out about this team in that time. i still trust chan, buddy and the crew.
  12. apparently all you have to be able to do is open your mouth towards the camera and let random incoherant thoughts fall from your lips...which is sometimes entertaining but most times just causes severe headaches and occasional indegestion.
  13. i'm hoping to see mr. dareus all over the line in many fronts putting fear into o-linemen, running backs and qb's alike. i am hoping that our coaching staff will be creative on that side of the ball and let the chaos reign all over opposing offenses. i hope, i wish...i BILLIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. it's not just that he's says what you want to hear, it is the delivery that accompanies the wording. he seems to believe it himself and comes across as honest and genuine and passionate. after the last few coaches we've had, i think the package that chan has to offer is pretty much what we as bills fans want.
  15. i am so excited i can hardly contain myself! many a foul word escaped my mouth last year watching opposing qb's prance around waiting nonchalantly for a receiver to come open. i want to see mr. williams meet mr. dareus at the cafe qb for lunch!
  16. makes a lot of sense. that would be a great thing to have a rivalry with a team so close to home. i don't think we would see a drop in ticket sales or merchandise. and it would make the home game for this one really something...unless we are still under contract and have to play that "home game" in toronto...that would just suck!
  17. i like your optimism, sir!
  18. yes, if all goes well that could be amazing. i sure hope all goes well. as a side note, i miss hearing you on wgr as i can't get your new station in while i'm working. hope all goes well there too.
  19. sounds like a humble guy with a good attitude, i'll definately be rooting for him to succeed.
  20. absolutely, this guy is the biggest what if in what if season. in an offseason where we have no idea what the hell is going on on a defense we hope will improve signifigantly...here comes a reported near 400 lb super freak from parts unknown that could tear apart the nfl wearing the red, white and blue. i am extremely curious and excited about him...especially if he is playing next to marcell dareus, who is also very big, but very, very talented.
  21. i like that combo as well on the inside, and i'm intrigued as to what different packages they could come up with to get the most out of all our d-line guys, and if there are some succussful combos we will have to come up with worthy knicknames for these packages.
  22. way back when the bills had a defense that put fear into their opponants, bruce smith would be moved up and down the line to create confusion as well as match-up problems. with the size and ability that marcell dareus has, is there any chance that we could see this philosophy employed in the upcoming season? i think it could be very interesting especially because of the multiple front hybrid defense combined with players that are "scheme diverse". thoughts?
  23. what do i smell? i smell something very bad coming out of bufflo and heading all around the afc east. i smells a lot like sweat, blood and bad intent. and i'm hoping it looks a lot like k-dub and big d meeting at the corner of omg and "what's that brown spot on the back of brady's pants?"!!!
